[Q] Hulu Application

I don't know if anyone is working on that Hulu app but it kinda really sucks that it can't zoom automatically. So I made a Hulu application but with zoom functionality and a sort of lights out functionality.
any suggestions as to other things I can add to it?
EDIT: It is not finished, but some asked to see it so you can install it and try it out. It has some bugs atm but if you want to see where I am kind of going with it push it to your phone. Also note that this has the same limitations as the other Hulu application you need to have that custom edited flash install.
Start a video, then press the menu button and hit the Zoom button.
You'll probably notice that the background looks strange I was in the process of restyling it.
NOTE You need the modified flash file, you can get it from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752582

Contains a modified flash file. So uninstall your flash, and then install that one.
problem i'm getting with hulu and other flash stuff is the sound is slowed way down
There's a fix for that. Look in themes and apps for stagefright fix. I let it play like that to scare the **** out of my son with my demon phone lol.

This app does not seem to work as good as the other one floating around. The video seems to stutter and stop a lot and I get the "the video is not optimized for mobile" which I dont get any of that on the other version. Also the video, when zoomed to fit the screen, is jerky where with the other app, its is 100% smooth.... Also at one point, the video pixelated and then the program shut off and i was back at the sense screen.....
as far as Zoom, on the other APP, I just use the pinch zoom and get it to fit the EVO screen as best I can...

Porting Smart Stay?

Is someone working on porting the smart stay feature from the Galaxy s3 to the s2?
Skickat från min GT-I9300 via Tapatalk 2
I wonder if it is possible 'cause of the difference in hardwarr
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Pretty sure Smart Stay just uses the front camera to see if you are still there. Can't see why it wouldn't work but might be a battery drain. Also not sure if it has hooks into the new touchwiz, which people are looking at porting at present.
No need to port. Use the app called "Super video, floating & popup" from the play store. Works well on the sgs2

Smart Stay is the one which uses the front camera to track your eye to determine whether you are looking at the screen or not. That's Pop-up play you mentioned. I wouldn't use that crappy, buggy & ****ty app though. Hope Pop-Up play is more stable..

My bad. Sorry.

There is no reason, why it should not bepossible to use smartstay on any other mobile phone.
It's only a additional setting that tells the phone to look what the user does after a special time. if you look on it, camera will recognize it and a software will tell the phone, hey user is lookin' at me. thats all.
btw the camera hardware (front and back) of s2 and s3 is completely the same, if you don't believe me, ask samsung, they said that in an official statement.
So is anyone working on getting the Smart Stay feature to our beloved s2??
Is Smart Stay inplemented in TW because i cant find it as an special apk, can anyone help me??
Seriously is noone interested in fixing the SmartStay feature from the GT-I9300 to GT-I9100??
You know it's the feature that keeps the screen on as long as u look at it...
Stop begging and bumping your thread, this will only push devs away from even bothering helping.
If you want it so much look into porting it yourself.

Yes!! I seen this option on my Epic and could never figure out what it did, recently re-enabled it on my SGSIII and finally figured out how to use it... pure awesomeness once I finally figured out where everything was. I love the extra vertical room it adds by hiding the address bar.

[Q] Why hasnt this been done yet? Gallery app mod

so ive been tinkering and messing around with my s4 and I must say,I absolutely love this phone! I couldnt ask for anything more. However, there is a slight tiny little detail that ive noticed that I wish samsung would fix/improve or perhaps maybe an app developer could modify, and that is the "gallery app"
I dunno why this hasnt been done before. I would have figured someone out there would have done this by now, I know it can be done. Its just the matter of doing it (im sure its hard work though), and im no developer or modder. Trust me if I was one, i would have done this by now.
Anyway, back to the gallery app, and I absolutely love it. I love the fact that you can edit/crop, add effects, filters, draw, etc. without having to download any additional 3rd party apps. You can do everything all within the gallery app. BUT, you cant add "text/captions" to any of the photos??? That is my only complaint however, I wouldnt say complaint... I look at it more as a tiny hiccup.
It doesnt really bother me, but I really do wish that you could have the ability to add text/captions to pictures. So now, I have a seperate photo editing app, just for adding captions. I do all my editing and filtering on my gallery app then I gotta open the other app just to add text/captions... *sigh*
Im kinda hoping that maybe an app developer or modder see's this post and gets the bright idea to incorporate and add that feature inside the gallery app... haha
Thats just my two cents, thanks for reading

Why not do everything with one app. I have 4 different photo editing apps on my phone I use different ones for different things.

Well... that would be awesome too... sucks that we gotta use download multiple apps jus to edit one picture

Enable Swype/Trace/Path input on stock keyboard

I I decided to do a little messing around on my phone today. The lack of Swype features on the stock keyboard irritated me. Lol So I was messing with build prop.
First you must be rooted, second get a Build Prop editor, or something like ROM Toolbox, third be sure to make a back up in case you mess something up.
Open your build prop and look for these lines: ime_trace_apply and ime_trace_menu. Tap one to open it up and you'll see Property Value:false and Default Value:false. Click the selection box under Default Value and change it to true. Save and go back into the build prop.
Do the same thing for the next line. So now both of your items (ime_trace_apply and ime_trace_menu) will read True. Be sure to save Build Prop and reboot. Once you do that, try to use the keyboard.
You should see a quick pop up explaining what Trace Input is. If you don't, then check in your setting and make sure you have it checked. That's all there is to it. I'm so much happier with the stock keyboard now.
*Try not to screw up any settings please!*
FYI - I am not responsible for you messing with your Build Prop, screwing up your device, bricking it or Grumpy Cat coming to your front door, to call you a failure.
***Edit - in the example provided, ROM Toolbox Lite was used. ***

1. Because I like it.
2. Because it has a dedicated Number Row.
3. Because it has built in Emoji's.
Swiftkey is supposed to get #2 and #3 soon, until then...see #1 - #3.

This is very cool! Why would they hide this feature?
I also like the dedicated number row... Only complaint is that the space bar is too narrow (I also have that complaint for the swype keyboard).
I've been using Kii - space bar is wider, and it also allows you to backspace after autocorrect to revert to the original word (if you don't want it uncorrected). But I'd switch to stock full time if only the space bar were wider.

I'm looking for the value for the brightness slider in the notification drop down, it might be in the frameworks it self. Actually if you play with the xposed modules it will bring it back but the minute you slide it, it will crash the system UI

I wonder if they have an agreement with Swype to allow it to be the only tracing keyboard installed by default?

I had this problem too. I ended up using the GravityBar module in Xposed, which happens to have the feature to slide your finger across the statusbar itself to change brightness (under Statusbar tweaks, at the bottom). Works perfectly, no crashes. Not sure if everyone will find this to be an acceptable alternative, though.
Weird cause Swipe was enabled by default on the Verizon model. I actually had to go in and turn it off in the settings.
So funny how the G2 does all these great things yet every version this, this, and that disabled. It would be cool to find a rom that has everything enabled to let US pick and choose what features we want to use.
It's like the AT&T version doesn't have launcher themes. I'm not sure if they even have Keyboard, SMS, or launcher themes. Those are pretty buried too.

I was waiting a bit to see if anyone else reported an issue, because I don't want to come off as a noob . Anyways, I'm using the same Build.prop editor that you are using in your screenshots, but my changes to ime_trace_apply and ime_trace_menu are not saving. I'm rooted, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Any ideas why I can't save? I'm wondering if some other mods are causing conflict....namely: Auto Hide Softkeys, LMT, and G2 Xposed. Thanks in advance!

Yes it does. I've group messaged several times.
Except I use Hangouts now for primary messaging... although I found the stock SMS app more feature rich (and has the popup sms). Hangouts just has the AOSP feel to it, plus it keeps my actual hangout chats in one place = 1 less icon on the desktop.
The LG Stock Roms are pretty feature thick, its just hit and miss what each variant has enabled. AT&T disables the Launcher Themes?! Some disable Group Messaging?! Some have a QuickApp Stock Browser that is windowable (Verizon doesn't have this)?!!!! Some have FM Radios?!
Just gimme everything please!
