Sharing my first experience with 253 stock XZL 6506 - Sony Xperia ZL

I got my 253 OTA upgrading from Generic 434 US. I haven't lost root after that ugrade and LTE works great.
the first two days I was greatly disappointed with new ROM performance, especially battery live and how fast the phone gets hot after short use of talking, surfing etc. BUT after that (after two days) I have to take my claims back. I can't complain on the battery live anymore (check my screenshot), and no heating even after couple hours of watching movie over internet. Waiting for our "bold guys" to tune the stock ROM for even better performance or we go straight to 307 shortly.
Everyone is welcome to share his/her experience!
XZL 6506, 253 stock, root, CWM, LB

I know Last word from TMo is "this afternoon". They are in PST, so I would imagine its this afternoon PST. And it will be available to everyone. We all connect to the same server farm. Its not gonna block you because youre in a different time zone.

Xperia T is the their flagship and annoyingly it is cheaper in the UK than what the S was.
No .50 for Generic UK
Stock UK here and 6.1.A.2.50 just showed up. I had previously put the latest Italian ICS rom on though - later than the 453 one so that might have been why.
Still no UK Generic

yup its a software issue, they have just messed up he colors in order to make screen more bright... contacted sony service center and they said screen and cam will b improved in future firmware updates as they are getting these complains from all the xperia M customers and they have noted it..
again as for performance the fone is a blast.. played many 3d games including MODERN COMBAT 3 (CHAPTER - 5 - CHASE) which lags even on GALAXY S3 stock rom but its running smooth on this fone..

Do add a request for an M section guys! Or we will never get it lol. I made my request the other day. I bought an M online, I should have it soon.
Check out all the online reviews and Youtube videos, there is no lack of first-hand information about the screen.
Is anyone else excited about modding the LED at the bottom of the phone? Apps always appear allowing you to mod this on Sony phones. OK, I know that it's not the biggest LED in the world but it nice huh? :victory:
I'm going to try using this phone as my main portable media player, using Sony's Media Go. The M has the full Sony sound mods; Clear Bass, Clear Audio, Clear Stereo, xLoud etc. I noticed that they don't make a big advertisement of this (they clearly want to boost the Xperia L) but in the White Paper and User Guide...the phone has all those things.

P600 WiFi Only Update Notification

Currently rooted, running stock 4.4.2. Got a notification of an update....not sure what it would is - 4.4.4 maybe? Not sure if I should update (don't want to lose root). Anyone know what the update is and if updating with cost me root?
Thanks
Same situation
I too would like to know this. Thanks in advance!
You probably already know this, but it's just a ChromeCast fix (and maybe some other minor stuff) for 4.4.2. Some people have reported horrible battery life after taking/flashing this update, so since I don't use ChromeCast (and I'm rooted), I haven't flashed it.

[Q] Is it just me or this MM Update is the best solid update?

I mean I don't even feel that urge to root, I'm enjoying the sweetest battery life I ever had on the N4, snappy as hell and smooth as butter.
Package disabler Pro seems to do a great job disabling bloatware and more

Google Pay works

All I am missing (a little) is Audio mods and the ability to disable shooter sound on the camera.
Xposed and all the heavy theming and customizing stuff?? I'm not so much into that.
I would have to agree with you. My urge to root is fading fast. Only thing I would possibly root for is having a hotspot.
Thank you for the Package Disabler Pro recommendation. I will have to check it out.

Yeah, it also depends on how much you're charging your phone without letting it die out. I was clueless to that and was constantly charging my phone even while using it and I ended up damaging the battery and quickly. It swelled up and it was garbage after that. It's good to let the phone die here and there. And try not to use it while charging.
