I got a new (2nd hand) HTC One V this week and wanted to flash a custom rom. From all the roms I tried the CM9 Kangbang v3 worked best for me, because there was only one thing not working, that was SD card support. I couldn't take pictures or save/read files on/from my SD card since it didn't (fully) recognize it.
Now I flashed a different kernel Titanium-KISS of Maxwen (One V Android Development > [Kernel] [PrimoU] 2013/05/21 Titanium-KISS), and it seems that it solved my problem. I'm not sure why, but I just wanted to share this info since it worked for me.
my device info:
(former Dutch T-mobile phone)
unlocked
primou pvt ship s-on RL
hboot - 1.18.0000
radio - 3831.19.00.120
eMMC-boot

ps: I couldn't directly reply in the post where Kangbang v3 is, since I'm a noob with less than 10 posts.
Use Maxwen's CM9 Kernel instead, Hellboy kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1954967 is the link.
I noticed that when receiving phone calls the speaker on the front is not working, bit embarrassing in public. Will try to flash the other kernel and see if it's fixed tomorrow.
rom has some defects. developer of the rom is no more active in this thread try some other rom

I saw this rom a while ago on the Desire forum.
Is this rom ok to flash ( i would presume not)?
I would also assume that it would need to be rooted, busybox, smartass etc.

Hello all,
First of all, sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I cannot post in the development one, so forgive me.
I have a question for all of you:
I have installed on my HTC Desire the Nikez Lente Evervol JB ROM, which is great.
I really like it, even if there are few bugs and random FC.
I've used CM7.2 for a long time before to switch to JB.
I don't miss CM (sorry for that), but I really miss Tiamat Kernel I installed within it, which helped me overclock and underclock my processor, changing also the voltage.
With Nikez Lente JB original kernel this is not possible, I tried to install Tiamat Kernel for ICS but the phone cannot boot anymore, I'm stuck to initial black screen.
So I went back to the original Nikez Kernel.
Unfortunately this kernel seems do not allow "extreme" overclock as Tiamat does, and do not allow the user to change the voltage table.
I would really like to have these features back on my JB installation, is it possible?
Is there a kernel which can work with Nikez JB ROM and can give me back the features I'd like to have?
Moreover: can you explain why the Tiamat ICS kernel (for Bravo GSM) does not work with both Nikez Lente ROMs (ICS & JB)? Am I making something wrong?
My phone is a PVT-1 Amoled, S-OFFed qith Revolutionary, the HBOOT is the Alpharev Stock one, The recovery is CWM 5.0.2.0, I have a 32Gb SD card with 1 Gb ext3 sd-ext partition.
What else can I say?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
Giovanni
Yes it is possible.
But probably you have to wait.
Evervolv team (nikez included) are working on jb and probably when all features will be working they add some mod in kernel that will let you OC CPU.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Did you check/compare the kernel configs? One of the CM wiki pages about building the kernel describes howto access the config - or check the git repos, evervolv has the file somewhere in arch/asm, it is called bravodefconfig IIRC
Maybe a device or filesystem driver is missing

Almost, it's located in arch/arm/configs/evervolv_bravodefconfig
Hi everybody,
I'm Tim from the Netherlands and new here. Well not that new been reading here for some time now but not needed to post questions / make a account until today
I have a HTC Desire second hand for one week now and installed some roms to see what works best etc
I have right now [ROM][PRE-ALPHA] Jelly Bean - Pre-Alpha 1 [18.10.12] from LaidbackNikez
Its for my HTC the fastest rom i have seen and works really good for 1 week now.
O btw i'm a noob in this so spare me a bit. I Know how iritating people can be and maybe you think that of me also but i really looked for answers but dint found them sorry.
My questions:
The rom i have now, is there a way to update bug fixes (nightly builds? ) If i look @ evervolv site i dont see HTC Desire nightly.
IF there are updates for example the Camera bug can you install these without losing everything on the Phone?
Or do you lose everything on nightly builds..?
I just dont know yet how it all works, i know that android uses Linux based, but example cynanogen? / Evervolv? are these complete new firmwares? or software you can bind in jellybean for example? (sort of kernel updates) ?
The rom i use now dont have gps but it should work (do i need to update the radio? is that even possible?)
And the Camera issues should be great if it works. For the rest i dont see any bug for now.
I'm not a type of person that installs every week a new rom.. if i have 4.04 / 4.11/ 4.1 then i'm happy because i really like the way it looks and moves thru my second hand desire .
my info form HTC Desire:

Radio can be updated. The latest radio version is - 5.17.05.23.
You can download the new radios from here -

With nightlies is prob best to do a full wipe. Lots of people here use titanium backup so they don't have to deal with the hassle of reloading everything.

Hey there,
i just flashed the newest CM Version from this thread on my Wildfire S :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248654
I had an older one running from this Version (the one from 2013-05-02) . I followed the Upgrade procedure as described..but my int2ext+ script doesnt work anymore. It always worked fine before. Were there any changes? or has anyone some helpful advice?
Best regards

any good custom rom for wfs which is stable, good in performance and all apps working
I suggest SlimRom for our phones, it's 4.2.2 and lightweight, but you may have some problems about keyboard..
mine is unlocked but S-ON... never had issues setting up roms though. Go to dev forum and read around. Root guide there, and also some great roms. I'm using [ROM] [4.2.2] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 [by OWL PROJECT] [Marvel] [27.05.2013]

The past 3 months i tried almost any rom i found. CM7, 9, 9.1, 10, 10.1 ............. some of them too heavy, many freezes for others, many wracked nerves for me.
The only rom that makes our WFS run fast, smooth, with good camera and good battery life is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256576.
The stock htc rom with collection of kernels with extra memory support and overclocked CPUs. You choose what is best for you. Also many options for themes lockscreens dialers etc. to choose with AROMA installation.
I'm using this 3 weeks now and i' m very satisfied with its stability, speed and battery life.
