Hi!
Hope someone can help me:
I cracked the screen of my lg e975 when it fell out of my pocket. phone and lcd still working correctly but the glass and digitizer are broken, so the phone gives no response to any touch..
Is there any chance to get access to the data on the builtin storage? all the pics, notes,..
the phone is turned on and usb-debugging is turned off.
I am thankful for any help!

are you on stock or custom rom?
if you are on stock, you can always try LG onscreen phone.

no, lg on screen phone is an official app.you can acces your phone from pc,like you would do it from phone itself.
BTW,have you tried connecting the phone to pc and acces your files?

Well, can't think of anything.the only would be lg service mode.when you are on stock, turning off phone and pressing vol up +power will bring service mode, especially made to recover files, but i didn't managed to acces the files,as it says only for lg service.

Hey Kimitza!
thank you for this advise. will try that too, wont give up
If you unlock it by flashing a teenybin through lgnpst you'll be able to boot into twrp recovery and access /data/media through adb.

how can you flash teenybin without lossing all the data?
I softbricked doing a rom revert and installed LGNPST to fix, but LGNPST will not find the LS970.dll even after I manually added it to the registry successfully. I uninstalled and reinstalled LGNPST three times now. and getting nowhere. Regedit finds the dll, so it IS installed, but it will not show up. Help?

yes of course.
I also disabled UAC and tried again. No Dice. Redownloaded the tSilenzio files and the teenybin, no go. Tried installing an alternate lgnpst_970 dll. Nothing.
Tried Windows XP and I cant get the USB MTP drivers to work at all.
I'm lost now.

I don't if this will help but did you try using the USB ports that connect direct to motherboard? Ex; usb ports in back of PC instead of front?
Here's a link that might help good luck:

i was soft bricked yesterday all u had to do was hold the power for 30 secs. then it will power off fully turn back on in to recovery and then restore your nandroid.
Goto your lgnpst directory and regsvr32 /u LGNPST_LS970.dll then regsvr32 LGNPST_LS970.dll
If that doesnt work uninstall lgnpst delete your lgnpst completely then download it again

Success!!!!!
I got it to boot into TWRP after messing around for a while.
Once I got Teenybin to fully load through following the advice at this site I found through a google search of "lgnpst 67%"Newphablet.org
Turn the power off completely, keeping the two keys to increase or decrease the volume and then plug in the usb cable. Still keeping two buttons to increase or decrease the volume until the screen pops up the “Download Mode”.
- Run LGNPST_ACG.exe file in step 1.
- Select BIN file LGNPST_ LS970.dll. And then click Start.
* When running up to 67% will restart in two cases:
1. When the Optimus G restarts successfully, the Setup screen appears, LGNPST continues to run normally, and the device will be reboot 1-2 times. You just still wait for the Finish tool is ok.
2. The Optimus G does not boot up, hangs on LG logo with bright spots. LGNPST runs to 85% and error. Now you leave the usb cable, click “OK” in the error message, press keeping the power button for about 10 seconds waiting for a red light on charging. Quickly remove the power button, keeping down two keys to increase or decrease the volume in order to get back to download mode. Usually make this tool will run, but if the error after about 1 minute. You click OK, press and hold the power key to turn off the power phone, then press 1 to turn on the machine. The tool will run.
3. After the tool has finished running 100%. Your chance will be suspended logo. In that situation, you shutdown Optimus G completely and hold VOL Down and Power at the same time to Factor Reset Default.
*Note: This is a personal experience. I will not accept any liability related to your phone when doing it this way.

Hello all,
Well, it's here... Unfortunately my phone got bricked last night
Can't boot into main screen and can't go to download mode anymore. The cause is, my phone was stuck when upgrading firmware and there's nothing to do about it except remove the battery, and then, BOOM!... "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify"
Any LG G3 users here already experienced this problem?
I followed the solution on LG G2 sub-forum, but my ubuntu doesn't detect the port, although Windows recognized it.
If this happens to your G3 and you solved it, please share your experience
Thanks

Not at all.
Finally, I claimed my warranty with LG, and the motherboard got replaced.
It's all working now
You could have unbricked it... I've done that twice already
im stuck in this, how?
I'm stuck at the same thing since yesterday.
could you tell us the solution @nofait?
I've been researching about this and noticed one thing,
if I hold the lg combo (vol up + usb cable), and keep holding it until it passes the secure boot error and the screen becomes black,
my device (d855) goes to the Qualcomm Download Mode (it's detected as ''Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008'' on windows 8.1 x64)
Apparently, on that mode we could use Qualcomm tools (QPST) to reflash the bootloader and the matching laf image (the one that brings up the download mode)
so we could then flash any KDZ using LG Flash Tool.
To do so we need to extract the bootloader files, sbl1.bin, aboot.bin, rpm.bin, tz.bin, boot.bin, and laf.bin, from a tot/kdz firmware converting them to mbn format.
Then using QPST eMMC Download Tool, we load the partition table xml and 2 image files: the flash programmer file and the qcom boot image, which I'm still trying to figure out where to get them since I can't dump my own phone, and then we might be able to recover it.
I'm still looking into it and hopefully we can find a way.
I did not send my phone to lg service, yet, because I think they will take too long to fix it.
It happened to me a few days ago, but i had TWRP fully working so i could simply flash a ROM and then recover my things.
That thing about windows recognizing it as a msm8474 was a drivers issue (al least for me), i have a S5 too, i think that when i was tryng to get Heimdall working it changed the drivers (as you may know, s5 and g3 have the same board), so i just simply uninstalled it and then reinstall everything using .exe files from LG's website, after that windows 8.1 recognize it perfectly and i could flash KDZ without problems.
Other experience i had and that may help is what happened to me using an LGOG, couldn't boot, no recovery, no nothing, just trying to turn it on, it managed to get in fastboot mode (but with screen off and red LED all the time),from that point it was just about typing commands and flashing img to get it working

Hi,
You'll need to use a Windows 7 machine and the proper LG USB Driver (first post of this message) and change it to the COM41.
Do a BOARD DL and when the screen comes up and tells you to not touch it, ignore and press OK. Then press the power button and at the same type touch the "Normal +power". It should reboot and everything should be fine
Cheers!

So,
Should I use windows 7 32 bit or is it fine with 64 bit?
Will I need a .TOT file and a DLL for my model ( D855P 16gb ) or can I use a KDZ file?
EDIT: ok so I tried it, but flash tool failed to get model information from the phone.
were you in download mode? I can't get to download mode here.

nothing just black screen no led either but the computer recognizes the phone on devices settings it shows LGE androidnet usb serial port.
i tried every guide here on xda to unbrick and a few on other sites and noghting
the only thing i did not try yet is a tool called lg smart boot diagnosis tool that theres nowhere to download only an xda member seems to have this tool but im waiting to see if he can share the tool or no
I dont have much experience with lg yet but if there is a flashing tool for it since u can still get the computer to read you just the tool and stock rom reflash and startover
i tried that already the problem i got now is the phone cannot get to be on download mode lg flash tool gets me an error that can't change to dlmode. it seems im running out of options maybe i should send my phone to lg for repair but i rather not i would like to try a little more before doing that

To put it simply if you cannot get to download mode, at this time you are sol. Maybe in the future if we get the qualcomm files you could fix it if your pc recognizes in one way or another it is connected under ports. But right now as we stand we do not have the files to recover from your type of brick.
thanks for you reply it seems that im gonna have to send it to lg for repair i bought it second hand so t-mobile will not help me with this.
Can you get adb to recognize it? You might be able to extract the laf.img and use adb to flash it back to your phone. Then you'll have download mode back.
no adb either i tried that. i try all kdz methods, flash tool with tot file and modded dll it gets stuck on can"t change to download mode. thanks for asking
the only method i did no try yet is the lg smart boot diagnosis tool that a xda member has but dont wants to share the tool

This is true but two problems exist:
1) Correct me if this is wrong, if you brick your phone and don't automatically boot into fastboot mode there is no way to do it. You need to flash the full fledged laf.img so it is booted when you do the vol + plug in instead of booting to lg boot loader.
2) Even if his computer can recognize the phone what he has done probably makes it boot into QHSUSB mode and at this time we have no solution to fix it.
I have read somewhere on the g2 forum of fixing one of the types of QHSUSB bricks (they come in a couple of flavors) but I can't remember which one. I do remember he needed to flash the full fledged fastboot laf somehow then flash the aboot partition via fastboot. So if I was you I would do some digging in the g2 forums.
thanks everyone for trying to help.well i just send my phone back to lg for repair i will inform everyoneif lg repair my g3 or not thanks again
I am also facing this problem it's completely bricked when I connect device to computer it shows LGE ANDROIDNET SERIAL please help to solve this problem
On the computer or the phone
Hello so I am hoping i could get some help fixing my lg g3. Its been stuck in boot loop for a couple of days now and I've looked and searched and I cant seem to fix the problem. I don't know if its hard bricked or maybe there's a way to fix it. The issues all started when i couldn't connect to wifi or use Bluetooth on my phone. At the time i tried updating to 5.1 but was not available yet. I had seen on some threads that by downgrading it might fix the issue. So I downgraded my phone by using LG flash tool. I downloaded the dll. at&t D850 file and the at&t D850 tot file. Afterwards the wifi and Bluetooth was fixed. But then it started to reboot on its own and the issues came back. Although after a couple of reboots it just got stuck.
I've tried doing the factory reset by holding the volume down and holding the power button and i see the android logo but it s till gets stuck on boot loop.
I've also tried reinstalling kitkat with LG flash tool and when i do it says Fail Mino OS at around 90%.
I was also gonna try and use Odin3 which i read might fix it but when i connect my phone to my pc it doesnt recognize that its connected. I uninstalled and reinstalled the lg drivers but still cant recognize it.
If anybody could help me and give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated
Same problem here, did you fix it?
I got exact same problem, don't know how to fix it.
Possible solution (if u downgrade mm to kk and the result is boot loop)
hi guys
i tried to explain my solution (sorry for my english but i'm mexican)
i had the same problem like u, but my problems with this device start with the wifi and bluethoot, when i tried to turn on just doesn't work.
i tried the same method with TOT and DLL files (Kitkat) V10a and LGUP, LGFlashTool and LG Flashtool 2014 but nothing, the phone finish the flash done but the boot loop continued.
i search and read a lot of tutorials and nothing, but i found a KDZ for D850PR, this firm is from Puerto Rico but works on ATT Devices and vuala!! my phone comes alive!!
ok, u need some file but i think u have almost all of them....anyway i will explain everything than it's possible..
Files to need:
LG Drivers - http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00120120425
LG Flashtool 2014 - http://www.mediafire.com/download/fwrcd3pdj0svjtb/LG+Flash+Tool+2014.zip
LG D850PR Firm V20a - http://www.easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=314 (i will try upload to my dropbox and paste the link)
and here we go!!
1.- follow this tutorial to learn flash with LG Flashtool 2014 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 (thanks to quangnhut123)
2.-when u finish to flash the firmware, perform a hard reset
*HARD RESET - remove battery, press volumen down + power, when u see the LG logo release the power key and hold on again, and u do the hard reset.*
PD. *if ur device turn on with Mini OS 3.1 screen do the next steps
-check the options and u will see "normal boot (+ power key)", hold on the power and press on this option and the phone will starts normal
i hope help u with this solution, i don't know if this solution works in ur devices but maybe u can try and get back work ur LG G3!!

Can you put your phone into download mode? => Hold volume down button for a few seconds and attached the usb cable to your phone?
Also, how old is your phone? LG phones have a history of having issues with batteries dying and this causes the phone to constantly reboot. I had this problem myself, which is why I know about it..
