Whats a good boot animation for the note 2 and where do I get it? Something simple
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
You can start here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971828 it has a link to another thread and explains how to replace on a stock rom...and also try here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ja...nexus-boot-animations-updated-12-25-12-a.html they are the same size, don't flash anything, just replace the boot animation zip. Make sure you have a kernel that supports it.
Thank you

There are also a few apps
In the Play store. ROM toolbox has some decent ones, just use the ones listed for tablets... And make sure your Kernal supports custom boot animations.

I particularly like the stock Tablet version of the 4.2.2 Nexus animation "X" ... If you have ROM Toolbox you can download and install it.
Looks like kind of similar to my avatar but is animated with glowing edges ... basically the Nexus 4 animation at a higher resolution

Hi everyone. I put this together while sitting in the airport for long layover. Use it if you like.

Use this with a rom/kernel that supports boot animations. Change file name to bootanimation.zip if needed.
Very cool. It's not going to pull me away from the "Haters Gonna Hate" boot animation, but it's definitely easier on the eyes that the ICS animation that has been in Calk's 2.0 and 2.5 recently.
This might be the best layover project ever.
Clean! I like it. Thanks for sharing.
is this a flashable zip??? or can u make this into one
Looks nice.

How could you make this usable on stock roms with stock kernels?
Use a different kernel. The kernel has to support bootanimations otherwise you're stuck using those dang .qmg boot images.

Besides changing the Boot Animation, is it possible to use the Toolbox to theme my Nexus? Mine is root and has Gummy 1.0 installed.
I think it's much more convenient than flashing zips or flashing new ROMs. I love the customizability of this app.
Is it okay to install new fonts, change the themes, or boot logo? At least for the boot logo, they are asking for the device, but it doesn't have the GN listed as a support device.
Just wanna make sure before I get the pro version.
Thanks!!
Don't think the GNex has Boot Logo. Only animation.
It's *supposed* to work. Backup before you try anything.
I use the toolbox for all kinds of mods on my Gnex. I have flashed new fonts, battery icons, wifi icons and roms. It works great

I am still on stock TW but made a quick dialer for CM10 JellyBean (Sprint) and I need someone to test it and tell me how it looks.
Make a backup first just in case then use ES File explorer or similar to copy and paste into system/app
This contacts.apk is from cm-10-20120722-UNOFFICIAL-d2spr.zip release, just in case you need to know, but I believe it should work on all cm10 releases.
Changes you should notice are dialer buttons, contact list picture and in-call contact picture. The Dialer should look similar to stock TW, more or less.
Post screenshots.
downloaded, placed in system apps with root explorer, rebooted. No issues

Is there any way to replace that blindingly white screen with the green HTC logo, when you first turn on the phone? I know a lot of roms have custom loading screens to replace the droid eye/flashing system specs screen.
Check the themes and apps subforum, there's a bunch of them and links to more if you search.
