Hi everyone, im having an issue with kernels on the htc one v cdma. Im forced to reflash the kernel every single time the phone is restarted in order to get wifi to work. When i boot into android after rebooting the wifi is stuck on turning on. Afterwards i reflash the kernel and the wifi is back but if the phone is restarted wifi is gone again everytime.
Im using the stock kernel as well as jmz's stock rooted odexed ics firmware.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
btw sorry for posting in the wrong section, didn't realize it until after the fact.
When you flash the kernel, your command should be "fastboot flash boot boot.IMG"

Hiya guys,
I have just downloaded and installed the Revolution ROM and everything went well except now my wifi will not work.
I go into the wifi settings and it says "error" next to the wifi tab and it will not turn on.
Does anybody out there know how to fix this?
Thank you in advance.
logcat says something like: failed to load wifi driver
Try reflash the kernel?

now i have tried two different roms and wifi still not working
Did you wipe before flash? If not try that. If yes try restore WiFi settings from a titanium backup if you have one

Sorry I meant when you flashed the Rom.

Hi,
I have a bit of a problem here.
I was running CM10 with ncx kernel and i diecied to set CM10 with bricked kernel. So I have repacked it with nibble.cc.
I installed everything and flashed repacked-boot.img. So I was thinkin it was all fine when my phone started to restart. He was restarting all the time so I got to conclusion that i flashed wrong boot.img or something. I tryed to get to recovery so I can recover my nandroid backup but it didnt want to get in recovery. And now I am in a bit of a problem, and I am noob in this stuff. So please, please help me I hope I didnt brick it.

Hi guys. I jus flashed aokp nightlies Yesterday in my HOV PrimoU. But it jus doesnt detect d sim. It keeps showing "no sim" on the lockscreen. I have faced this problem on cm10 too. It seems all cyanogen based roms create this issue for me somehow . Please help.

did you do a full wipe from recovery and flash the correct kernel in fastboot?
Remove the sim for some time and turn off the phone and see...

i think you have a greater baseband radio than everyone else and you keep getting 'no sim' because of this. wiping and reinstalling the rom/kernel again MIGHT not work but you can always try!
I did a full wipe and tried both the roms twice or thrice including d entire procedure of flashing kernel. The problem persists.

Virgin Mobile HTC One V (CDMA/primoc)
2.3.3 twrp recovery working fine
Unlocked with HTC dev
***unlocked*** (in boot loader)
Flashed su then gapps 4.1 then Pacman ROM
Error can't format SD ext (don't think this is a problem but hey just in case)
When the phone reboots it stays at the boot animation for the ROM. I've tried a couple other ROMs to no avail. I also left it with the boot animation over night just to make sure it wasn't just taking a long time. I have also been searching the internet for a RUU to at least get the phone working again. I've also been reading the xda forums and I think it might have something to do with my radios (like version 1.0.0...) I'm not totally inexperienced in android rooting (I'm currently using my HTC Evo V 3d s-off rooted with Gangamstlye ROM) but any help would be much appreciated!
I am able to access twrp recovery and can use adb with fastboot still - only my one v won't get past the boot animation

If it's a new phone you will most likely need to run the RUU but you should go in this order when flashing a ROM.
Extract the kernel from the rom
Boot into recovery
FULL WIPE
Flash ROM
Boot into bootloader
Flash boot.img through fastboot ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
Install 4.1.2 Gapps
I have tried reflashing in that order and it still didn't work :/ Do you know where I could get a RUU?

Hi
Having successfully installed Viper, Revolution, and CM over the past few days, I thought I would try some others. I loaded JellyBam 10.1. It installed ok, but when I came to boot it, it gets stuck in a loop at the JellyBam logo. I have also lost the ability to boot into recovery, and all my mucking about has lead to a low battery. I am now getting the Battery too low to flash message. I have got around this by loading the Batt Script.bat file from here on the forum. Teh phone is doing its on and off thing to charge up the battery sufficiently so I can flash a new recovery.
Anyone know why I am getting stuck at the Jelly BAm logo?
Regards
Seems like you forgot to flash boot.img

...... I flashed boot.img.
Fastboot erase cache ?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
......yep
What recovery are you using? I recommend flashing philz and try getting into recovery again. From there on full wipe everything flash viper Rom and the boot.img , wait till it had enough charge though
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
....why would I install Viper, when it is Jelly Bam I am attempting to install?
Because it obviously doesn't work.Flash that one then there isn't anything different in the process, was just trying to explain
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
...ok.......but I have already used Viper, and had no problem installing it. I know Jelly Bam isn't working, I'm trying to establish why.
Tried installing Jelly Bam again. This time it gets me all the way through set up. When I tap on Finsh, I get error "Setup wizard has stopped working"
Anyone any ideas?
Regards
