Well seems I have a bit of an issue with switching Roms.
I am currently running vicious v1 for toro devices . Every time I try and switch to another ROM, I get stuck in a boot loop over and over again.
I can't reflash the original version of vicious ROM once it happens. The only way to fix it is to restore from a backup.
Any ideas folks?
Edit:
I am able to flash fruits and veggies ROM on the phone but when I try to flash the gapps ( any set both ics and jb) it goes into the boot loop again.
I am using cwm touch.

Hello, I recently rooted my phone and installed the latest CWM to install the CM10 rom but after i reboot it doesn't go past the CM logo loading screen. What may the problem be? I have the rogers GS3.
Did you format data and factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik?

When going back and forth from a TW based rom(stock) and CM/AOSP based roms you HAVE to wipe all all cache and system info before you install ... and vice-versa
Oh awesome, it worked.
Btw... whatr happened to the playstore app?
Did u flash the jb gapps? It contains Google apps

HELP ME
I am sorry to intervene, but how come I always get boot loops when flashing this ROM via X Parts CWM. My phone was a 4.1.B.0.587 model, and I downgraded kernel using flashtool from .587 to .562 to root using doomlord. Once rooted, I then upgraded kernel again using flashtool. Now my phone is STOCK ROOTED with 4.1.B.0.587 model. Then I rebooted my phone to go to x Parts CWM once the blue notification LED is shown. This is when the annoying part starts.
1) Full wipe (factory wipe, cache wipe, dalvik cache wipe, battery stats wipe, even went to mount and storage and did /format -data, /format-system, /format - cache, /format - sd card ext.
2) Install zip from sd card to flash this ULTIMATE HD ROM. AROMA Installer loads and viola, I am at the first stage of AROMA installation.
3) I did even checked 'WIPE' in AROMA installation. When everything is done installed, it went back to CWM and it says something like
"Okay Ultimate HD has finished installing, phone will reboot. Thanks". So my arc s rebooted and then it went to have a bootloop. WTF. Guys help me please been trying to do this for 2 days. I never had any problem when using Thillinac Ice Cream Pureness. Grrr.

So weird ;
1. Why do downgrade to root--if you unlocked bootloader you're superuser.
2.If u unlock BL, now u dont even need Xparts...which use for lock BL
3.if you answer me "my phone still lock BL"--so u cannot flash modded kernel and modded ROM
Suggest for you = > use the stock kernel which recomended by the ROM....use CWM 5.0 or higher....

i wanted to go back to stock after installing a buggy cm10
Take out battery. Insert it back, goto recovery(HOME+POWER) & select "wipe data/factory reset". This worked for me!!
Or else, try flashing it again through odin. Ensure that it's the correct firmware suitable for ur device.

U should wipe data and factory reset before and after flashing via odin.
Then it will take about 3.4 mins to start up.

You can try to flash again, with all clean! and be sure to use the right mentioned ROM. 6.1.a.2.50 if I am correct
Just one way..
Flash any rom with flashtool.

I Downloaded and installed XZX v2 for acro S, facing same problem! everything went fine untille booting in new XZX Rom.. Sony logo appears but that's about it! too bad! maybe trying different kernel is a solution?
kernel?
how about trying to flash different kernel?
maybe advances stock ICS kernel by arakmar
try searching it
I'm now running XZX2! I replaced the usbotg.apk in the original package with a version from a stock rom.. then flashed rooted and installed CWM again to be on clean stock rooted rom with Cwm.. flashed the corrected zip file, and it worked!
I just read that the original version has been corrected and is already available to download.
