An associate of mine said that the voltage of older android antennas (radios) could be increased for better reception. Is there any truth to this? If so, does the technology exist for the epic 4g touch? Is there a zip or tar file I can flash? Anyone care to weigh in on this subject?

So I'm having issues with my phone and sprint wants me to bring it in. I have an Odin count of 5. Will they see that and if so do I just play dumb? Maybe tell them I took it to a different store and they looked at it too?

Here are the issue's I'm having. Maybe they are common...
1. I dont receive text while the phone is "hibernating". (not sure what to call it. It's when the screen goes blank)
2. LOS
3. Phone doesnt seem to want to switch towers. I'll be on 1x when I'm in a 3g area. I have to shut my phone down, then once it reboots it recognizes I'm in a 3g network....

I'm on 61008 the latest prl and ff18 modem and get good speeds. Just keep trying them out until you get the one you like. I tried a lot of different PRLs until I noticed it speeds didn't change a lot.

Isnt it SAD and Absurd that we need to resort to custom prl numbers and settngs ( anycut ) to get decent reception? what is sprint using for its network- a bunch of diodes and transistors in a can?

Hello people
Can someone please explain to me this.
As far as I know dinc 2 is only 3g no 4g. But I can see with the leaked ics and some other roms, 4g lte appears in settings. How is that possible. Does it contain 4g radio??
Thanks.

You could have a black&white TV, and add some controls to adjust red, green and blue. They would be present, but ineffective. Is that so hard to grasp?

No need for everyone to be sarcastic. Inc2 is one of the only 3g only phones. Visit the vzw site and they have a section for all the 4glte phones

So what you are saying is there is a 4g network selection but all we get is 3g even if we select 4g LTE.

There I fixed it.
The dinc2 has basically 2 replacements already. The rezound was clearly meant to be a replacement and now we have the dinc4g. It's becoming a pretty old phone now and 3g only was normal when our phone was new.

I have a epic 4g flashed to boost mobile
I have recently found out that they have 4g service now
Does anyone know how to activate it on my phone if its even possible
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Not possible. You could just buy a boost et4g and get 4g.
I like to break stuff!
I know of a way but it's probably not XDA approved. I'll just say you need a friend that also has the E4GT on Boost or Sprint and you need to do some editing in the ##DATA# menu.
That's all I will say about that.

It is possible and can be done, just follow and you will be piggybacking on sprint 4g wimax while on boost I did during my boost ET4 days.
