HTC apps in custom ROM - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody,
I have may be stupid question. Is it possible to put htc apps such as messanger or dialer into cm 7.2. I´d like to get rid of sence, but I am used to those htc application. Or do you know about stable (working) android 2.3 with Sense (I would replace sence with other launcher)? I didnt find any stable working rom.
Thank in advance,
Pavlos.

You can maybe find Sense themed apps like dialers but the pure sense apps need Sense framework in most cases

yes that would be the most obvious port but however , rooting should be achieved first
you are kidding right? the desire is a nexus one with sense on it. just turn of sense and you will have plain Android 2.1. good luck!

turning off sense was an old story on previous htc android phones. with the desire, you are not able just to ''turn off sense''. you have to install helix launcher... or something else.
anyway, htc sense is not only the homescreen, it goes beyond that. .i.e dialer, phone contacts, camera, gallery .... just to mention a few.
i not kidding! if killing sense interface, the memory remains occupied by sense's apk!
i wanted a smooth rom!
thanks

soo right. sense UI ROMs use much more ram for its own resources even when I'm using Launcher2 and killing the so-called "HTC Sense" task.

I've used a modified HTC keyboard from Froyo on CM7 so I'd imagine it's very possible. However, wiser men than I will have to show you how. Perhaps Mr. Google can shed some light.
I know there is a keyboard from the sensation that will work on aosp roms that I've seen floating around here.

HTC Calendar

Can some one please paste the HTC Calendar apk file. I used to have HTC Desire HD. Now I got Samsung GsII but nothing beats HTC sense.
Is it possible some one provide me the Calendar apk file which shouldn't need any other changes.
I have already found sense 4 clock widgets installed on my SGSII running android 4.04 .
I just love htc sense.
THanks
try this, I haven't downloaded it, but it looks like 2.3.4 apk

Hey yes i also want hTC Calendar can any provide a way to install it ??
i Have the apkz, but i dont know how to install it ???
I don't think you can have HTC calendar (or any other widgets/apps) without the whole Sense. You can only try finding alternatives on the Google Play. One of such is Android Pro widgets (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core). But since the last update FB stopped working and really nothing beats Sense...

Sense uses a different framework for its apps, unless you're an expert in decompiling and recompiling apps its merely impossible to get a sense app to run on standard aosp framework.

[Q] changing recent apps' style to ics recent apps' style

Hi guys
I'm wondering if there's a posibility of changing htc one x's recent apps' style to ICS recent apps' style? because the Ics's is more practically and doesn't drain the battery.
another thing is , do you know how to make the sense allow me to add more than seven panels or homescreens? because I need to put a lotta widgets there and 7 isn't enough for me and I don't wanna use other launchers because if I did I lose sense widgets.
thanks

I think it's custom the rom name is:
Leedroid
sorry I'm not into developing that much can you tell me what does stock mean?
please help .
I have the same question for a different ROM, this what I posted on another more general Revolution HD thread,.
"I'm running Android Revolution HD 7.0.0 with franco r10 kernel and have 'no-sense'd it using ROM cleaner.
Is there a way to change the look and feel of the recent apps UI to be like the stock ICS one that you get on the cm9 ROMs? That is, a vertical scrolling 2D list rather than the 3D card shuffling you get by default on the One X.
Searching the forums here and the rest of the net I think I've got as far as working out it's in SystemUI.apk, but I've no idea if that is interchangeable between ROMs; I doubt it is.
I realise this is a very minor annoyance, but any help would be greatly appreciated!"

Can Senseless ROMs use the Sense Camera, or has the entire Sense framework been ripped out?
Sense apps cannot be used on senseless Rom. Period.
what nonSENSE
They just remove the Rosie launcher in nonSense rom.
No way to get that camera in to cm10
Wait, I remember using a Miui Rom with Sense Camera. I'm 100% sure, so; No, I'm not lying
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I'm using this MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952325 and it has the sense camera...I was using CM10, moved to this and its awesome
sent via a Different Concept
Well the Senseless roms are just the normal sense rom with removed launcher, so the framework is still there and you should be able to use the camera.
As for CM and such, it doesn't have the framework, and putting it on there would be copyright infringement, or something of the sort. Atleast thats what i have understood so far.
Thanks to you all.
Try Viper ROM
ViperX 2.7.1 it is a sense rom, with stock kernel is the best. I tried others, but my phone never had that smooth performance and battery live. I've seen many go to CM, MIUI, Jellybeans and come back. Any way, thats my advice.
