Yeah well it doesn't. If you are on T-Mobile or any carrier that hasn't offered the update you need kies or odin plain and simple.

OTA updates are only available for a very limited time after they are released. Spastic is right, you need to use Kies or Odin.

Thank you all

Typos get us all worked up, especially when it comes to updates on our phones. Also, nobody is running JB.2 on the GS3 yet.
Keep calm and flash on...
I just put this to see if someone is running 4.2 because on the website show it like that. Anybody can go and verified.

The latest RDF (From this thread) does show LS970ZV9 as the latest version. But it is still ICS. Maybe more bug fixes/tweaks?
I keep trying to do firmware update, from update menu. Keep receiving authentication error

When the update came there were no words on the screen just my homescreen wallpaper and it said update with the spinning loading circle, then it said software update complete.

How many haven't received the OTA yet?

I still haven't received last week's OTA in my stock unrooted Note2. When I check for updates I get a message " access to the software update services provided 2 users in the order in which they requested. Try later". Anyone else?

Try rebooting your phone and connecting to a wifi network see if it works.

Try going to settings/appliction manager/all/com.sec.android.providers.downloads and wiping cache and data. Reboot and try update again.
Also I seen in another forum people cleared google.services.framework cache and data and rebooted and were able to get update.
How do they send updates? By zones?

I find it hard to believe at&t would be the first carrier that has the s3 to release multiview.

I feel like it would have been posted pretty much immediately if it was true

Yea they have false info. Follow android police instead. It did roll out as an ota update around that time but has no multi view. It is in fact the same exact version that was released via kies around December 3rd.

Yes for the S4, but tmobile is taking forever to release it. It's out for other companies though

Sprint just got it and theres some debate over whether it locks the bootloader. Hope thats not true. Some say it is, and others say it didnt lock it.
With knockz being part of the update I am betting it is locked boot loader and in root able kernel
