yep just use latest unrevoked method. all instructions are there. you can still go to stock with ruu after this
You should only make 1 topic making several will not help you apart from upsetting people.
Dexteral: if you read his post you would know that he don't want a custom recovery, which unrevoked would give him.
BTW the way you install superuser is by using a custom recovery so what you ask for is not possible now. And even with a custom recovery you can still unroot with a ruu. So just use unrevoked.

Yes flashing a ruu flashes the stock hboot, recovery and system probably also splash1 and a few more things
which was also what I ment by unrooting.

okay guys this rom looks awesome, i need a little help flashing though.
i have a rooted desire with oxygen 2.2 and rom manager 3. somthing for my recovery, i have the original h boot and no s-off i was wondering do i need s-off to flash this or can i do it to my original h-boot. there is a stock hboot.zip provided but if i already have it do i need to reflash it.?
can i flash a custom h-boot with no s-off and what will happen if i do?
if i flash this will i loose my root or recovery?
thannks
If you read the first couple posts in the rom thread it says you can use stock hboot with this rom. Also, you must be s-off to change your hboot.

Hi guys,
can anyone plz help me with my problem
i have unlocked wildfire s from other forums tutorials but since xda's tuts were confusing now it seems to be same & i unlocked it officially from htcdev.com
now it has a superuser and its rooted and i have to install customs rom but its ends with bootloop
i have s-on , does it take to make it s-off and then flash custom roms to work properly?
If Yes ?
please give me the link
I have search entire forum but a bit confused also read stickies
also can anyone tell which rom is better for better saving?
cm9 or wildchild v3.0 or anyone?
Thanks
u dont need s-off to install custom rom...u just need to unlock bootloader. Flash a custom recovery like CWM recovery and then flash c.......ustom roms...
both wildchild and cm9 are nice roms....but cm9 has got some bugs...

thanks blogslogger for the link
When ever installing a custom rom, always make a nandroid backup. Then in recovery do a factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache. Once you've done those steps you can install the custom rom and hopefully it should boot up without a problem.
TUTORIAL
Here's a full tutorial for bootloader unlocking, recovery installing, rooting and custom rom (cyanogenmod 10) installing:

Made by me Please click "Thanks" if you like it
You need a recovery mod
I recommend the official clockworkmod recovery 5.02.8
