Hello,
Yesterday i get T999 to unlock this model and flashing polish language pack, arelady i've unlocked it but still i have no idea how to install polish language pack, i dont want to install custom rom, is there any other way to do it without custom rom, i was looking for FW with polish pack but no results.
Thanks for help
Not sure how to fo this, but you wont find fw with the additional languages. The T999 is released as strictly a US phone.

yep unforwunately there is no official FW with this pack, but i thought about change proprty file what is responsible for language, anyone know witch file responsible for it and where i can get it? any other solutions are also welcome, but i have to stay @ stock
Im not sure but maybe you could use some files from the international S3. Be extremely careful doing this though and dont flash anything you find in their forum. Itll have to be done manually.

So I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 (actually, GT-S5369, because it was a locked one). I procedeed on rooting it, installing a couple of different ROMs, like ChobitsDigitalis Rom and Creeds' Rom v2.5. Thing is, when I started all this, I had about 10 euros on my prepaid SIM card. Now I only have about 4 left, and it's going down fast.
I read on the forums that the phone might automatically send some SMSes to Samsung India or something if you had a wrong CSC activated. So I flashed the following using Odin :CSC only:S5360_OXFKL3. After that, using my IMEI number ( *#272*Device IMEI#), I selected the code CNX ( for Vodafone Romania) and thought everything would be fine. But, as stated above, I'm still losing credit.
I don't even know if I posted in the right section of the forum. I chose to post it in General Discussions rather than Q&A because this section seems more active. If there's a problem, I'm asking a moderator to move it.
Looking forward to an answer, I'm kinda desperate about it.
Have u disabled internet roaming?
give me thanks if I helped u
Well, I disabled it now. Another question: must I disable it everytime I install a new ROM? Do I need to flash a CSC that containts my provider everytime I install a new ROM?

And disable internet each time u flash a rom.

Well, cheers guys. I wish those things were written somewhere around here, like, I've read that beginner's thread for S5360 newbies and other threads around here, but it was not stated anywhere that I need to do those things as well. Thanks a lot.
U know what's weird? I'm in Poland and never changed to any other csc when flashing custom roms. 8 euro gives me 3+gigabyte of internet + midnight to 9am unlimited. I guess its a good deal. Whats ur providers packet like?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
Have no idea, not using my provider's internet. But still, it is pretty weird how it resets to an Indian CSC (at least that's what happened with Creed's ROM) . As I said, it would've been no problem if you were at least noticed in the info thread about the ROM that there's a slight chance that this might happen. Lost about 6 euros...eh, **** happens, at least I know what to do next time.
It would help if you skip your Google sign-in too on every ROM flash. Since you don't have any active data plan, signing in could result in loss of prepaid credit.

Hi! I am really interested on the ''omega'' rom, and i want to install it. the problem is, that i have a question for installing it.
Can i install it just with like, ''es file viewer" ?
Or do i install it, like with flash on recovery mode?
Where is this ROM? Don't flash a thing yet! Link us the ROM.

OP, you are so lucky you decided to ask us before flashing.
i believe the ROM you are trying to flash is this one here.
assuming that you have a T-Mobile Galaxy S III SGH-T999...
this ROM is meant for the International Galaxy S III GT-I9300.
if you flash this ROM on your device, your device will brick, and you'll be stuck with a $600 paperweight.

i got confused, lol. it's only for the international version, sadly. do you know any roms, that are similar to this one, or a really, really, good rom? right now i have the illusion and it's great, but i want one like omega.
Look in my resource guide and read some more man. You need to read more to prevent from making more mistakes.

Like already stated, you need to read more about this whole process. The fact that you even asked if you can flash a ROM through a file manager says that you shouldn't be flashing yet.
He needed to be walked through flashing Illusion through PMs (lol) from me, after giving him 2 links and being told what to do in a thread he made... I pray for his phone. Please please read more for 600$ sake.
Is it just me that finds this "feature" extremely annoying?
I wish there was a way to fix the browser brightness to simply follow the brightness of the system.
Does anyone know of a mod/fix/hack that can be applied to work around it please?
I have googled it but can't seem to find anyone else moaning about it so it must be just me.
I know that it's possible to install ant other browser to get round it but the built in browser seems quite quick compared to anything else i've tried so it would be nice to use it if possible.
Do u on JB or GB?

Sorry, good point. I am on gingerbread. Am rooted already if that helps.
GB's stock browser isnt smooth enough. I advice you to flash JB but if you dont, download one browser from google play. I think we can't change that. It annoyed me too when i was on gb too but we cant do nothing without downloading another browser

Cheers, I have been thinking about flashing JB, but as I'm in the UK it's not available in my region. I was concerned about CSC settings. If I flash one from a different region I may not be able to select UK English or correct carrier settings and so on.

If you worry about the language... There are nearly all languages available.
But if you don't want to flash JB, you can choose a browser from play store.

You can flash JB without any language problems.
I live in the UK and I'm using JB MC8 on the 3uk network.
No problems with that.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry didn't get back sooner but had a long day today.
I have now flashed the leaked JB firmware mb4 I think it was, must say, much improved over the GB firmware. Not sure if I'm gonna go any further with it as yet. Will see how it goes. Is there much improvement with the MC8 over MB4?
Which actual ROM did you flash? Is it stock or a modded ROM? I am also on 3 in the UK

MC8 is better. but if you flash MC8 kernel over MB4 it is almost same:
MB4+kyrillosV7b+MC8 kernel = MC8+Italian Job
+Supercharger V6 and deleted bloatwares
Ah! Thanks. Might do a little search for that kernel then. I have noticed it seems to lag a bit occasionally, but on the whole it's pretty good. I assume its just an Odin flash as normal then
Hi,
i was given a S3 on T-Mobile (U.S). i tried to change the language from english to greek but with no luck. Do i need a new rom installed?
if yes which one and how i do it?
thank you
Γεια σου Τολη
I dont think you ll find a touchwiz rom for the T999 with greek support, i havent tried one at least.
I m pretty sure cyanogenmod supports greek so you can try that and see.

What would happen if i flashed a firmware which isn't the same as my region, e.g i live in Egypt, what would happen if i flashed the firmware of Europe?

I do not think too much problem would be there as long as same version of phones firmware you are using. However language might be an issue if English is a problem for you.
I still not recommend to do that. However I am using Pakisthan firmware which is superior that Indian firmware. I live in India.

When I had my galaxy s 1 and I was flashing different ROMs some of them caused me to lose imei and the network was not working. I would rather wait for the update or write down your current firmware version and keep a backup om your PC. Be aware you can't downgrade if you flash KK. This comes from a guy who used to have obsessive flashing of custom ROMs disease (or OFCRD)

I am 100% sure samsung won't update my firmware, and English isn't a problem at all.

I had the same disease as I was changing roms on my ex phone nearly every couple of days, and isn't there any way to flash jellybean again if kitkat caused problems??
Edit: actually there is no way to downgrade from a knox firmware which I find very stupid
