So I've been using Juice Defender for the past year or two now, and though there have been reviews somewhat negative or that it's only a placebo effect or something, it has helped my battery life extensively. There are times where I might accidentally disable it and forget to enable it, and my battery life gets worse enough that I notice almost right way and Juice Defender usually helps with that.
The feature I use the most is making sure that Data and Wifi and stuff are turned off when my phone is locked, but with a few exceptions for some applications like Pandora. Just looking for another application that can do something similar, and yeah, there's other things too, such as turning off the WiFi when there it can't connect after a certain interval, and not turning on both Data and Wifi when there's WiFi, for example.
Just looking for another battery application that does the same. Juice Defender has some small bugs on my phone such as messing with the bluetooth and they haven't upgraded their application in like two years now, so yeah, I'm just looking for a more updated application.

I've been using Deep Sleep Battery Saver Pro and GreenPower Premium. I have to say the first app is not as customisable as the second, but it's pretty smooth, effective, has a more logical interface and I've never experienced an issue with it. There's also a free version that also does the job. And to all of you sceptics, YES, IT HELPS.

Only problem here is the 2 day waiting period lol. I'm a flashaholic and its driving me mad lol.......5 hours remaining until learning mode completes. Really hope its worth it ?
I'm a firm believer in giving a ROM/kernel sufficient time before complaining about battery life ( thats why i never complain about battery) so I guess this is giving me that sufficient time to let my phone settle at least.

Using a combination of 2X Battery Saver, and Snapdragon Battery Guru. Works wonders.
Sent from my Nexus 4, the only phone approved by Patrick Star
I am currently using Battery Guru as well by Qualcomm, but I had a quick question. Like slymobi, I like to flash the latest update for whichever ROM I am using at the time. I have about 13 hours left until baterry guru is done learning. My question is, if I do a titanium backup of everything including battery guru and then after installing new rom restore the app with data would I need to redo the learning process or can I just let it run based on the original learning process? Hope this question makes sense.
Thanks!

You should give undervolting a shot if your kernel supports it. That helps with reducing power consumption while in use, while juice defender helps with reducing power consumption while not in use.

yeah that's rather bad. i would put on average that our phone would last 4+ hours display on screen without the use of JD and other stuff.

Your android system looks a bit high too. Maybe a fresh wipe and install would help things.

Kernel or rogue app.
I have tried so many kernels and roms including cm10, aokp and slimbean but in all of them the same 'media' process is taking 40 to 50% of my battery even in standby. Is it some app that might be responsible for this drain?

I've had TERRIBLE battery life ever since upgrading to 4.1.2 a couple weeks ago. I unplug at 7am, and by 3pm, it would be dead with minimal usage (max 30min. of screen on time) I've tried factory reset, and deleting all mp3 files to see if it's a bad mp3, but to no avail.
Attached is screenshots of battery usage and badass battery monitor.

Also I have noticed testing with my phone by forcing it on 3G only the battery life is much better so I'm pretty sure its the switching back and forth of the networks. That was for people who actually have a brain.

Same here for me. I wiped everything, reflashed the stock 4.1.2 image and still have the battery drain, even with no accounts set up, location services deactivated, flight mode on and no extra apps installed. Drain is pretty consistently 5% / hour and my battery stats show no active states when the screen is off. I thought about it being related to a defective SIM card, but the same drain is observed with 2 different cards or even no sim card inserted. I have no clue what else to do...
I got my Gnex after JB was released. How was the battery life on ICS? How long could you have the screen on?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
When I didn't use my phone a lot, I went home with 70-80% battery after a workday (sync fully enabled, working WiFi all through the day). Screen time was ~3h.
So, is it worth going back to ICS? JB is superb, but i hate not being able to keep the screen on for a long time. I read a lot on my phone.

Depends on what screen time you're getting now. My major concern is standby drain which is so high I couldn't get a decent amount of screen time if I wanted to. Oh, and and I use the European GSM Nexus, btw.

Have any of you used this app? I think it's worth at least trying out. I've been using it now for a few days and it seems to have helped increase my battery life. A lot of times before I would get about 2.5 hrs of screen time and now I've noticed I've been getting almost 3.5 hrs...almost, but still good improvement nonetheless.

Apon checking my phone for the past two days its been at about 75%. So I love it!!

Yeah usually I don't really believe in apps claiming to save battery now because none of them ever really worked for me. But this app is made for phones specifically using snapdragon processors and actually works, pretty damn good too.

It must have gotten better from when it first launched because it absolutely DECIMATED my battery life in the first versions! Maybe I'll try it again.
Admittedly, I'm running root66 MD5 and I'm getting the best battery life I've ever gotten without undervolting and the ROM has been extremely stable for me so I'm sticking with it for now... maybe my constant ROM flipping was messing up the app. I'll give it another shot.

To be honest, I haven't noticed really any difference. I'll get some screenshots later tonight if you'd like, but overall, if there were any battery savings, they have been minimal. Notice my screen-on time in the original screenshot. I really am not a power user. I only ever have to charge my battery during the day if I've been gaming on it or if I have a rogue app chewing up battery. I usually go 12-14 hours and have 25-30% left with less than 2 hours screen-on time. I don't use task killers, however I reboot my phone daily before I pull it off the charger.
I am having horrible life. Disconnect at 6Pm, dead at midnight. I just deleted nova launcher but was curious to know if anyone else has had horrible Battery issues.

Turn bluetooth off of course. Disable factory apps. Turn on power saving mode. The performance difference is non existent, and it disables a few things that drain the battery. Turn WiFi off when not at home/a place with WiFi, I've been doing this to get better battery life since I've had my HTC HD2. Do this stuff, be smart with screen brightness, and the battery life will be really good. Best I've gotten was 1 day and 4 hours on my battery.

I get incredible battery life on my AT&T Note 5. While you certainly may have a bad battery in your phone, I'd still be more suspicious of an app causing problems. The same app installed on different phones can still have different results. The "Held Awake" entry in your screenshot (post# 13) at 2hr+ seems that it might be high considering how long the battery lasts for you.
You should investigate your App Usage entry to see if you see anything abnormal.
