download titanium backup . make sure your phone is rooted (lol) and usb debugging is checked . open titanium backup , if this is your first time using titanium backup , a superuser permission will pop out , allow it . then go to backup/restore tab and find your apps that you want to backup , select it and select backup . then you good to go . if you want restore , go to backup/restore tab , find your app , select it and select restore . hope this will help you .

seems to be easy. i will try it.
titanium backup is another good app for this. i believe it can now backup/restore sms and call log, though not tried this feature yet.
also backup your contacts to google if you haven't already.

look on your sd card...a folder called TitaniumBackup
edit: just in case, your nandroid backups are stored in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup, assuming you're using cwm or 4ext.
it's good idea to keep a couple safe on the PC.

use TWRP recovery. from there, when you go to RESTORE, you can choose to restore only DATA or BOOT or SYSTEM.... you wipe everything, flash your desired rom, then go to recovery (be sure to backup your old rom first) and from there you go to restore - data. done!

Is there a way to do that with CWM? Or with ROM manager or another software instead of me having to download and install TWRP? What happens if I flash twrp while I already have cwm? Will I end up with two recoveries? Or how will that work?

[Q] Titanium Backup

Hi every professional rooter and brusher , I m a newbie , please dont laugh at me. Thx
I just installed titanium backup , and i would like to ask what is the function of titanium backup , and if i backup-ed things in titanium backup , in what condition i need to restore it from titanium backup , if brushing things and become "brick" , Is it not using cwm recovery to restore it or ? I m confused, please someone explain to me. I will appreciate it damn much! THX !!! :cyclops::laugh::good::victory::angel:
I use titanium backup to backup my apps. So I don't have to download it again from market after formating my device. Still I have apps that I have backup last December. I restore backup after installing any mod or formatting the device. I didn't face any problem yet.

Titanium backup makes a backup of any app that you want - may it be a system or a user app to the sd card. It even backs up the data of that application - for example if you backup angry birds, then even your progress level gets backed up. Now, when you want to restore your backup the only requirement would be to have superuser access ( rooted phone ). When you restore a backup, you will have an option of only app or app+data. If you select app+data then you will get your angry birds progress back! That's how tb works.:good:

[Q] Manually restoring saved games from a backup made by TWRP

Is it possible? I created a full backup using TWRP recovery (first time doing so) expecting it to be as good as CWM one (that backups the whole system and you can restore it like a full rom) BUT.. when I went to restore it, I had no sd apps or anything, so yeah I had to re install my ROM and redowload every app and blah blah. Question is, I haven't deleted the backup yet from TWRP.. is it possible to recover the save games and manually copy them to SD or something..? I had almost completed Plants vs zombies and angry birds, logo quiz.. this hurts honestly.
Regards.

AFAIK app data (savegame) are saved in data/data.
If u restore your backup and install those games without data wipe u m8 get back those save games.
Or u can copy respective folders from data/data and install those app and copy back those folders.
