Same problem exactly!
I just ordered the flex cable from Aliexpress. Waiting for delivery which may be a minimum of 10 to 15 days.
Till then I am using an external charger to charge a spare battery.

What you can do is order the part, its $4 to $5. Then you ask a local shop to replace it.

Yes, it replaces the lead you got with the phone. So, it does the same job - except its longer.

TBH, I've had that problem once of the two times I've bought the long cables (same seller, same item). I think its a matter of cable quality as well as length. Pay a bit more and get a better quality cable and you should be fine.

Cheapest original white usb cable

Hi All,
I have broke my original usb cable and looking for one in white color as my handset and charger both are white. I have checked ebay, only cable is like €13 and charger plus cable is €13.50. Cant understand why only cable is like that expensive. I remember previously I managed to find it in less than €5. But now seems to be double in price.
Guys any idea or link where can I buy cheapest in Germany or from web.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks & Regards,
Uppal
Are you talking about Micro USB to standard USB as in a cable that fits in a mains plug to phone?
Yes Exactly.

Grab it from eBay if you must have a white one, otherwise try an electronics store or computer shop. That's where i got my 1.5M cable from, it's really nice to be able to charge and lay in bed at the same time
Precisely! I got mine from e-bay, and it's even retractable...

[Q] Very slow charging. why??

When i connect my galaxy note 2 to stock charger it shows that in my battery stats it's charging as USB not AC.
Well what's supposed to be the problem. is my charger broken or the usb port in my phone is damaged??
Are you using the stock charger with the stock USB cable? My note 2 was charging really slow until I realized that the USB extension cable I was using wasn't delivering enough juice.

Do you have another 2A charger/USB cable that you can test from? I use an HP Touchpad charger + cable because its 2A and has a long cable.
I just happen to experience the same thing. I have had my Note II for a couple of weeks now and it have always charged from almost empty to full in less than 2,5 hours. Today however, it's going really slow. I do not know why. I've tried everything I can think of. I juse only the stock charger. Also tried the Ipad charger - no luck. This seem to be a quite common problem.
Hmm, just as I thought, more and more of this should be coming in upcoming days. I lost two good night's sleep because of this. Anyway, this is what I have done and you guys SHOULD do.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37052690&postcount=1
first time ever i have faced this issue (slow charging) couple of days back. it was dropped to almost 1%/3min
I have simply reboot to recovery and wiped cache
Now it come back to normal 40%/hr.
Sv: [Q] Very slow charging. why??
I have discovered that the stock charging usb-cable only has 4 pins in the micro-usb end. It looks like on is missing, from the standard five-pins. Can anyone check your stock usbs and see if there are four or five pins, and report back? Thanks!

I've mentioned it on my topic, I'm sure you haven't read it. Look above.
Anyway, mine has 4 pins.

My cable got only 4 pins. The second from the right is missing if you have the USB logo up.

I found a huge variance in charging rates based on a combination of chargers and cables. Goes to show that the cable makes a huge difference. Here's my findings:
** Stock Charger (2A):
w/Stock Cable (4-pin) - 1698
w/Cable from another phone (5-pin) - 1698
w/Cable from battery pack (5-pin)- 1698
w/generic eBay cable (4-pin)- 100! - It didn't charge at all, even with screen off.
** iPhone Charger (1A):
w/Stock Cable (4-pin) - 1300
w/Cable from another phone (5-pin) - 1100
w/Cable from battery pack (5-pin) - 1300
w/generic eBay cable (4-pin) - 100!
** Car Charger (1A):
w/another generic eBay cable - 490

[Q] Z1c doesn't charge from dock

hi,
Since 2 days my Z1c doesn't charge from the magnetic connector.
I've been using a variety of cables since i got the phone (not the official dock) and it's always charged fine.
Now when I connect my cable, the LED turns red, the phone says it's on an AC charger, so it still recognizes the charger, but the battery does not charge.
When i connect the USB cable it does all the above plus the battery charges.
So far I have restored the phone using pc companion, but to no avail.
Any ideas before I hand my phone back to sony ?
Tia,
John

Forgot to mention, I checked the dock. It measures out correctly and charges the Z1C from a colleague. I'm afraid it's the phone

I had the same problem, then in the morning by unplugging the phone the connectors of the phone broke off and remained on the dock.
Monday I try to send it in for repair... I think I've lost the waterproof
Maybe your phone uses more battery than the dock can charge. With this app you can check how much power your phone uses or if its being charged.

yeah i did that but still nothing
the battery drop sounds like a clibration problem - coupled with a possibly loose usb port? Had usb charging problems once but got it sorted out by trying to plug the usb cable into the port from "different angles" (carefully!)

You need this tool to find out which one is at fault:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...&_nkw=usb+current+and+voltage+tester&_sacat=0
Swap one by one: charger, USB cable, USB port until you find the problem. Make sure to use known working charger, cable for testing. USB port flex cable is not expensive, just around $5 to $9 on Ebay.
You should have ~ 5-->5.2 Volts, 1.5 -->1.7 Amps when charging. Anything lower than these readings, you have a problem with charger or cable or USB port.
You have to use elimination method to find out the problem as there are many unknown factors when battery is not charging.
