My phone is not being read as a USB device in any computer and I wanna return my phone to sprint but I can't return it to a full stock ROM. The stock ROM I'm running is using the bootanimation with the word Android. I need to flash the bootanimation with The Sprint jingle and logo. Is there anyway I can do that?

Just restore it with Kies if you're a newbie. Or you can download the original TAR and flash that with Odin. You can restore the boot animation easier, but that won't mean you have a stock ROM.
Edit: If no computer is recognizing your phone, then check USB debugging in the settings and download the appropriate drivers on your computer.

Wha would be the kies method?. I can't use the Odin method because I've installed and reinstalled the drivers and checked and unchecked USB debugging. And my phone won't be picked up. It won't even recognize the OTG cable I got. I hope the kies method could be used as wireless.

You need to be able to still get into recovery for Kies. So that wouldn't work.
Do you still have root? Download the stock MD4 tar and mobile ODIN. You don't need a computer connection. Then flash the tar. You need an sd card though.

Yeah I still have root. I'll try that mobile ODIN. I never knew it existed.
When you connect your USB cable samsung changed the default setup on this last updated md4. When you plug it in and get the USB icon in the upper left corner pull down the notification Window click on the USB option and change the default option to MTD not camera and your computer will see your device and you can connect to Odin afterwards.

Download over WiFi/Data directly to your phone, check md5 and flash it.

New to Samsung(coming from HTC EVO3D). I was trying to install an update(from the wrong forum i9100 FACEPALM). Anyway, now I have an error message that says to use Kies recovery mode. I can't seem to connect to Kies. Someone please give me some tips. Not rooted and was not looking to root. Just want to do some sort of factory reset to get my device back to normal. Any ideas on what or how I should proceed? TIA
Since you flashed the international version your USB is disabled and if I remember correctly can only be fixed by JTAG. If you have a MicroSD card you can still flash by Mobile ODIN - but be careful doing any wipes from an ICS kernel, including any from the stock recovery. Hope that helps.
Figured it now!! flashed a gingerbread stock rom and now I'm all good!
how did you do it? i am having the same problem
You able to get into download mode? If so just download a stock GB rom and flash in Odin.

can you give a little more insight on that? i'm trying to get into download mode, but i'm stuck at a screen that says, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
(kies won't recognize the phone)
before i was at this screen, i was trying to use odin one-click install to get ICS onto an at&t galaxys2 i727.
any help on how i can get back into download mode, or somewhere else where i can do something, would be a big help.
you have to use odin and flash the stock el29 cmw

I actually just encountered this, and I found this way out, I flashed the AGAT recovery with the odin executable.
My apologies up front, I've searched XDA as well as google.... & have nothing but confuse myself
Stuck @ boot screen
I can access cwm recovery & download (odin mode)
Can't flash anything b/c I (duh!) formatted my internal drive & external sdcard
My computer doesn't recognize the phone at this point either -- uninstalled drivers & re-installed drivers, no luck
(downloaded most recent driver set from samsung (ver.v1.5.14.0)
I'm using mskip's toolkit v2.3.0 & it doesn't pick up the device either
I don't know where to go from here.
Help Please

Ok so today I tried to flash TWRP on my Note II today through the GooManager app from the Play Store, it went well and then asked to reboot. After the reboot it is stuck on the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note II screen in all white, with a black background. I know I should try to flash the stock firmware with Odin but when in download mode (which it can enter but not the Recovery or OS) it is not detected. I have tried on a Windows XP, Vista and 7 computer with no luck on each. I have downloaded Heimdall for my Mac and again it is not detected. I have read that there could be an eMMC problem or something like that but I was working just fine like two minutes ago. Again it will not boot into either the Recovery or OS after sitting there for minutes, I can upload a photo if need be but I dont think its that hard to imagine. Oh I was on OmniRom the release the one before the one released yesterday with CWM. I wanted to update but since i was on CWM i needed to flash TWRP and it was not downloading for whatever reason so i went with the app method, which has worked before on my Xperia X10 so i was semi confident, anyway I'm rambling now... Again if anyone would be able o help me I will buy you a beer! wait I can't I'm underage, well when I turn 21 I'll buy you a beer!
Thanks!

Your phone was on OMNI ROM with CWM recovery, you installed TWRP via goo manager and since then it's not booting up, right ?
I think the easiest option now is to flash stock via ODIN. Did you ever connect your phone using USB ?
Are you trying with the cable that came along with this phone ? I know samsung drivers can get messy, try installing KIES it will automatically install the appropriate drivers, then exit KIES and start odin with Admin right(right click-> Run as Administrator).
If you have a full back-up and if Odin works try flashing CWM first via ODIN and the reboot in to recovery and restore your backup.

I tried installing Kies, closing it with Task Manager and then using both Odin v3.07 and v1.8.5. With both they never detected my phone, and in Heimdall it still does not recognize my phone. And yes that is exactly what happened.
Oh and Windows finally said something and it said that the usb device connected cannot be recognized...
Sorry fixed it!
Yeah so... The USB cable I was using was broken or whatever so I changed it and yeah its detected, thanks anyway!
Glad to know it's fixed.

I just went back to stock after having CWM Recovery and BeanStalk 4.4.2. I used the recovery to wipe cache/data and flash the UCUCNE5 image ([ROM][4.4.2][Jul-2014] AT&T I317-UCUCNE5/MJ4 *Stock* Odex). I'd like to root the device and install the bootloader so WiFi will work now but I'm running into issues.
I can connect to the phone in MTP mode just fine, but Windows/Odin doesn't detect the phone in download mode. Not only that, but I can't turn the phone off while it's connected to the PC - it just reboots. I can get the phone to power down if it's not connected.
I've installed all of the updated Samsung drivers and Google ADB drivers. Anyone have any ideas?

If you flashed the rom without doing the update you should already be rooted tho if anything get the newest supersu 2.0 then flash that in recovery and see what happens

take the battery out and try going into recovery mode and reflash the rom?
I can't seem to get recovery to work at all. The phone is connected and detected by Windows when powered on. When in download(stock recovery), the PC doesn't detect it. USB debugging is enabled, the computer security permissions are set for the PC.
Without access to recovery, am I able to do anything? Can I use ADB to force-flash the phone without it being in recovery?
Also, a wierd issue I mentioned before - the phone will NOT power down when connected to the PC, it just reboots. In addition, the phone, if powered down, will boot automatically when the USB cable is connected.
You may be looking at a Kies emergency restore if Odin can't see the device. ..
Hopefully Kies does...
But I'm with puffin on this one. ..
Place a clean rooted rom to your external sd card by removing it from the device and using a pc card adapter. ..then put the card with the rom back into the device while it's still powered down. ..
Then boot the device to recovery if possible. ..and fully wipe. ..then flash the new rom from sd....
Once booted...you should be good to move forward. ..g

I got a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 with TWRP. After editing the build.prop file, the phone doesn't boot past the samsung galaxy logo. I tried fixing this with Odin. But my PC and Odin don't recognize my phone anymore. I can only go to TWRP Recovery.
How can I get Odin and my PC (Windows 8.1) to recognize my phone again?

You probably need to reset all the USB drivers and re-install the lower level drivers that talk to adb Go see this post, and use the toolkit to do the basics http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682
