Wrong bootloader. Manual download does not work - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was trying to root my GN2 but accidentally loaded Tmobile root onto my Sprint. It now loops the boot screen and says "android is upgrading" Manual download mode does not work. How can I flash back to stock ROM?

If u at least have custom recovery, u can try this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769
Otherwise u may have to try Odin method, which u will have to search for as I don't have time atm..
Good luck, hope this helps..

What do you mean by TMobile root? Do you mean you used a root method for TMobile on your sprint phone? If so, and you can still boot into recovery, would be to flash the CF-Autoroot for sprint that can be found in this thread
Otherwise I agree that Odin would be the next choice to try and you can find directions on this webpage.

Odin to stock. I know you are probably stressed but try to calm down and use punctuation. If you don't know how to use Odin there is are plenty of tutorials and there are a couple of stock tons to choose from. Good luck.

no. use the APPROPRIATE odin file for your carrier. ex: if you have t-mobile, use the TMO T999UVALH2 image.

[Q] Problem With latest Firmware update oct 12

I am new here and would like to ask this question and I sure hope you can help.
So here is the story I work in IT I am very saving but never got the chance to root my phone because I didn't want to brick it. But now I am tired of waiting for jelly bean update for my T-mobile Samsung GS3. I watch all the videos on how to go into download mode and use Odin v1.85 to install a rom(I think that's what it does sorry if it's not correct I am a noob when it comes to this) Any way when I tried to install it everything passed and everything seemed ok. But when it rebooted it wasn't rooted and I didn't understand why so when I went back into download mode to see if I did something wrong. When I went back into it I found out something that I am pissed about. With the latest firmware update(please excuse if this is wrong but i think I am right) It says Qualcomm secureboot: Enable Does this mean they have locked the boot loader so I cannot root or put a custom rom on my GS3?
If you could please tell me what that means it would be great. I have uploaded a screen shot if anybody wants to see it. Is there a way around this?
You most likey flashed a non rooted firmware usually odin firmware isnt rooted unless someone linked u to a firmware with root injected right into it..are u on fw lj4 or lh2?? Either way there are very easy and safe ways to root..let me know if u want me to link u anything.
Also the bootloader is not locked there is no need to worry.. just odin flash clockwork.tar and then from there u can flash root and bingo!

I 100% understand where you are coming from I'm in IT also:
Lets get to it then, shall we?
So first make sure the drivers are installed for your T-Mobile S3 (drivers link): http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-T999MBATMB
Next, download Odin v3.40: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1670973
Then, get all the files at this link, they contain the Odin version if you dont want to install it using the link above^, clockworkmod.tar & a SuperSU program to flash to get super user permissions & be officially rooted.
When you run ODIN, right click it & select Run from Administrator. Now click the PDA button & browse for the clockworkmod.tar & click start, it'll flash the recovery & auto reboot
Then to flash the SuperSU, reboot into recovery (i believe u hold down the volume down button, home button & power at the same time, if not then its the volume up button instead of the down button)
U should be in Clockworkmod now, click install zip from file, then choose zip from file, then navigate to the SuperSU program that you put on your INTERNAL memory (not external, which is your SD card), flash it & reboot.
Your officially rooted
by the way, let me know what rom you choose! Im between 2 right now, Frosty 4.1.1 v6 & XquizIT v33 (LIH/LI8)
Thanks both of you. I will try the links you sent me @svibrant67. I was just worried that they locked the boot loader and now I know its not so I am relived. When I follow these steps will it install Rom manager so I can make a nandroid backup? I just want to make sure I can get it back to stock just in case I have to get a warranty repair on it.

Once you flash clockworkmod.tar & your phone reboots, put it into clockworkmod recovery & from their before you flash anything else, nivigate to backup/restore, then backup & it'll make a nandroid .
Thanks for the Information I am currently running FrostyJB_4.1.1-v6 with kernel KT747 and modem UVLI7. This thing flies now. The only problem I am having is sometimes wifi calling stops but I bet it is mostly because the Offical JB rom isn't out yet. Also everytime I restart my phone it switches back to default keyboard and doesn't keep my Swiftkey as default. But besides that I am very happy. Thanks again for replying so fast.

Dont worry man then, you are on process to learn . Download stock rom from wildchild forum on development section and flsh via odin in download mode.
If you have external memory card download any rom you want from development section and place it on external memory card (via computer of course ) and flash on CWM.

That's the first thing I did when I got my S3 lol. Dont worry, it's an easy fix. Just use the instructions on VibrantThemer's third link, but use the file from his second link instead of the CWM file they are talking about and it will put you back to stock. The first link is the program you use to do it all. :good:
Edit: Odin also comes with the toolkit you used to root, so you don't really need to download it. Just go to the folder where you extracted it and open Odin
That's not really bricked. Your n00b kungfu is weak. Odin back to stock. Or just Odin a stock ROM with root already injected. Done & done.
I was going to say the same

If you can get in then all is good
If you still have access to CWM, you could just flash a Custom ROM of you choice then and there. They way you won't have to ODIN back to stock and re-root again.

[Q/HELP] Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select blah blah..

Hello, my dumb ass decided to root using CFRoot, then it said it failed so I tried to flash the CFAutoRoot in Odin. Well, I tried booting my phone, after saying f*** it, and now I'm greeted with 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.' what can I do? I just bought this phone, so if I screwed it up, I'm in trouble.

SGH-I747(AT&T Samsung Galaxy 3), and the stock 4.3 rom
Unfortunately, there is no way to flash a stock AT&T 4.3 ROM to this phone as AT&T never released a full ROM, only an update.
Did you try reconnecting it to Kies to try and re-flash?

I went to tools -> Firmware upgrade and initialization, entered my model # & S/N, and it's 'Downloading file for firmware emergency recovery of 'GALAXY S III '(SGH-I747)' from the server...' so it says, which I got to from Kies. Should I let it run its course?

I'm not sure as I have never used this Kies option. I have always re-flashed via Odin. Your case is different because there is no full 4.3 AT&T Rom that can be flashed via Odin.
Is there any warranty on your phone?

Looks like you tripped the Knox counter when you tried to root the phone. Did you get it from AT&T? Maybe you could take it back and get it exchanged for another one since it got pooched while running Kies?

Well, if you take it to an AT&T or Walmart store, they may not care that you tripped the counter. If they send it in to Samsung for repair, they may not care either. However, there's always the chance that AT&T/Walmart/Samsung would allow repairing the phone at no charge.

You would need to install a custom recovery in order to flash a custom ROM. A custom recovery can be installed via Odin if you find the right file.
Do not flash any stock Samsung 4.3 ROM or a custom rom unless Knox has been removed.

Are you running the latest version of CWM? If you can't boot into your OS, how do you know you are rooted?
Flashing another ROM will remove knox.
Copy a custom rom to a microSD card (do not unzip the ROM which is a single zip file), boot into recovery mode, wipe cache, wipe data, wipe Dalvik, and install the ROM from SDcard1.
I have the latest experimental Cyanfox on my i747m from here: http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/?folder=d2att/

For recovery, are you holding the home button, volume up, and then pressing and holding power? You need to hold all 3 until you see some blue text appear on the screen, then let go of the power button.
