[Help!] com.android.phone Has Stopped - HTC One X

Hi,
i've just rooted my phone and installed cm10.1-RC2, i wiped cache, dalvik and data but when the rom loads up i get the "com.android.phone has stopped" message that keeps popping up and i just cant use the phone.
I tried fixing permissions and even wiping /system and flashing the rom again. none of that worked.
Help...!

Have you flashed boot.img and erased cache in fastboot? If not, there's your problem.

You are missing your IMEI number. Try getting to settings and check it.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 7.1

I did a full wipe and formatted everything in clockwork recovery just in case before installing Cyanogenmod 7.1. Now when I try to install apps on the market I just get an error no matter the help I tried to wipe the cache again and it didn't work. Can anyone help me fix this issue?
A couple questions....
-What error are you getting?
-How did you flash the ROM? ie. In Recovery or with ROM Manager
I always flash in recovery sorry should have put that. Also it just simply says "said app unable to download an error as occurred". I have made sure my connection is working too.

Do you have a 3g/Wifi connection? Try rebooting into recovery & fixing permissions?
Edit: Before you boot in recovery, try going into Manage Applications under settings and clearing data.
I cleared data already. Had just tried a fresh install and fixed permissions this time and still a no go.

[Q] Help! Phone stuck

Clockworkmod keeps giving me a cache recovery error and won't allow me to restore any backups, flash roms, or wipe cache. It happened to me before running stock rooted 2.3.3 and I just downloaded the stock RUU and flashed it in HBOOT. Last night I flashed CM7.1.0.1 and tiamat 1.1.4 and after it booted i rebooted into recovery to flash gapps and it booted up fine but froze after about 20 minutes. I pulled battery and it locked up on HTC boot screen. Rebooted into recovery and I got the cache recovery error again so I wiped data and redid the PG33IMG process this time with no luck. I have tried all day and it won't get past updating SPlash1
Someone please help =(
The error in clockwork 5.0.2.0
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open/cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
Try pulling the battery again. Or, format the sd card.

I've probably pulled the battery around 50 lol and formatted the SD card then put only the PG32IMG on it.
I have tried everything that my phone will allow. It just will not let me install the RUU
Try this thread. It may help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...

Thanks so much for the replies, and that thread does explain the cm7 lockup I had. But my main issue now is the ruu not flashing. I have tried redownloading and placing it on different sd cards but it won't get past updating splash

This is still the same issue I believe. Did you by chance run Inc2 HD before this started?
Yes I ran it a few weeks ago then installed the stock ruu after the cache issue. Then I stayed on stock rooted then same cache problem after cm7 froze.

Yup... same issue as the other thread. Can you boot into recovery at all?
Yes I can boot into recovery and it gives me the errors in op. I can wipe data successfully but it takes ages. Wiping cache fails along with formatting cache

Franklin270h had the same issue. He said data and cache were the problem also. No one has found a surefire fix, he installed the new CM7 and he said the problem went away.
Edit: maybe you can flash new recovery and try
That's what I was thinking but I'm not sure how to get a new recovery. I can't boot the phone at all I'm using my droid 1 right now

You can flash recovery image with fastboot and adb.
You may need more advanced help than I can give. I don't know if it will solve the problem or not.
Well i've tried flashing a different recovery through a PG32IMG and fastboot and nothing is working. It won't restore backup or install CM7. It says (status 1) installation aborted.

Did the new recovery install though?
nope=( i cant get any of the recoveries to work.
I can't get anything to install via hboot
I'm out of ideas.... I would ask one of the devs. Maybe the dev for 4Ext recovery can help. He seems to answer questions and help in his thread.
Hopefully its not bricked
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Thanks for all the help, but it actually turned out to be bricked. Fryed it, then got a new replacement from asurion. Being vveerrry cautious now

Rooting the right way?

The problem: I rooted with the SuperSU and so on, but when opening, it said to install BusyBox. I did that, and now upon rebooting, Wifi hangs on turning on. Am I supposed to skip the whole ' Busybox installation '?
* When wiping for a new rom, only wipe Cache, Dalvik, and Data, Correct? Not System?
* When flashing a rooted rom, I don't have root. Shoud I flash the SuperSU zip after flashing the rom?

I didn't wipe System because all of the instructions to the roms, never really seen it, but brick warning said not to. Thanks. I'll wipe, it'll help clear things up

Yes. I know all partitions.
Just didn't know if it was safe due to that brick warning. Seems safe enough, everything is smoother now. No random crashes(not fc). Thanks

Help Google Play Error 920

I tried a 4.2.2 ROM Version, let Google Play restore my stuff and halfway through I got a 920 error on everything, so I tried to wipe the dalvik cache and rebooted and still got the error. Then I read up and saw 4.2.2 was buggy somewhat so I figured that was the problem, noticed my internal storage was low so I wiped it before flashing the 4.1.2 rom, successfully flashed it, booted back up and was still getting the same error after initial setup.

X crashes all processes upon startup

Hi Xda,
I was working on putting a custom ROM on my one x as a result of it being slow.
everything started out fine, bootloader was unlocked fairly easy, gaining perm root as well.
however after a couple of tries I haven't been able to get a custom rom working properly. it will start up the system, passed the startup, then as soon as the first start screen opens up, every possible process starts crashing. (the only really visible crash is com.android.phone, however as soon as I click "ok" it will pop-up again within a second)
I've done the following:
Remove lock,
gain root access,
install CWM
downloaded ROM and Gapps (put it on the SD card)
performed a full wipe (Dalvik Cache, factory Reset)
install ROM and Gapps.
after this the problems started occurring.
a few solutions i tried:
1. I've retried the above process and included the boot.img loading using fastboot, then clearing the cache again.
2. I've wiped all possible data using the "superwipescript"
3. tried a different ROM which gave me the exact same errors.
atm i'm getting desperate because I've run out of options.
Is there a workaround for this problem?
Thanks in Advance!
Have you flashed boot.img via fastboot?

this might be a silly question, but it's not an AT&T one x? there have been a few of those here who shouldn't be here.
if it isn't...then check your HBOOT version

No i'm on the international one x (Dutch, T-Mobile)
my HBOOT Version is 1.39.0000
I've tried installing Paranoid Android 3.10 and 3.15 and ICJ422
Is that the correct version?

tried but won't work!
Make a clean wipe manually twice
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & storage - format cache, data, system
Then install the rom

I've tried the above but it gives the same exact error. as soon as the systems has started up it gives: "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" when i press ok there is a second error about messages but i'm not able to read this since the first message will pop up again.
should I start to get worried by now?

Flash the boot.img from the sense ROM.zip.. and then fastboot erase cache...then it won't be stuck at HTC logo...
Which roms did your try??? :S
I was having the same problem on Paranoid Android... not all the time like you but 4-5 times a day... Changed to ICJ and everything is stable now! Also make sure you have flashed the proper gapps...

felt only happy for a while, but back to problems now.
the ROM takes an hour to boot on average and won´t let me make any calls. besides the settings menu will crash as soon as I try to open anything.
I´m going to try another Sense based ROM now and will see what happens next!
