Battery tweaks? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Are there any battery tweaks to increase my battery life? I'm getting a max on 2hr and 30 minutes of display time, and sometimes 3hr. I'm seeing people reaching 5hr but they're running wicked with battery tweaks.

Battery

Android system using 64% of my battery and I been having my screen on all morning. is there an app that will track battery usage on each app. I have about 80 apps installed and I know one of them is f-ing Me up.

Better battery stats is a good app.

That's a lot. I bet a few are eating up the battery.
Watchdog will watch your active apps and alert you when any particular app breaks through a preset % CPU threshhold... I use it and it works great...
ill try both of those apps . Here are some screenshots if you guys can think of anything else. Thanks

Battery percentage increments?

Does anyone know what percentage the battery decreases at? Like does the icon decrease by 5 percent, 1 percent, etc.

I think it is 10, but I'm not 100% sure, no pun intended.
Right, right lol

Jedi Knight burning background battery

Just flashed Jedi Knight and my battery is draining when phone is sleeping at about 5% every 30 minutes. No CPU Sleeper app loaded just the ROM sleeping. Any ideas?

Look at the battery process what draining it-_-
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
67% screen with it on auto brightness. Misc apps drawing less than 4%.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
You just flash it today? Why don't you give the rom a couple battery cycles
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
The light sensors are draining with auto brightness
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
it's not the auto brightness. I'm using jedi knight with auto brightness and I get <1 % drop per hour of standby time.
it's probably an app that's causing wakelocks. download Better battery stats and check the "partial wakelocks" tab
I'm using the same ROM and I've noticed the same thing. So far I haven't been able to pin down what is draining it while sleeping either. I'll try better battery and see if it tells me anything new. Thx

White MMS equals battery life drain?

I was just wondering will the stock white mms for the Epic consume a LOT of battery life, or just a bit?
Just a silyl question because I'm obsessed with battery life.

Just a bit. Of course that depends on screen brightness and how long you leave the screen on for.

My brightness is always at the lowest setting and usually about a minute or so for texts.

You won't notice the difference then. Maybe a single percent at the end of the day with a lot of texts.

White backgrounds more power drain...

Yes, white backgrounds would consume more power then their black counter parts... but it is also a matter of how high you set the screen's brightness for how much power the display will consume. I would suggest that you Play around with your settings and lower your brightness as low as possible so you can read it. You could also purchase an extended battery like myself... so you do not have to worry about those issues as much!
I got a 1800 meh battery. Not really extended but an hour or two more juice. And the white, really doesn't take up battery life. Maybe (for my phone) 1-4% thru the whole day, but not bad

Quick question guys anyway to disable the low battery popup and sound completely. With my zerolemon battery my once my battery hits 15% the popup warning starts but the funny thing is this battery last so long that it takes me 10 to 20 hours depending on usage to get it to 1% so the popups drive me nuts. Please help.

I've been a member since 2010 and I don't have a high enough post count to ask in his forum Haha pretty sad you think. I sent him a pm so he might respond with what to do.

I'm not running this ROM at the moment, so I could be wrong, but is it not in settings/display/battery notifications? I know that particular ROM is heavily debloated, so it might have been removed.
I've checked everywhere and I guess its been de bloated cause I can't see it anywhere.

battery notifications
Do you have the pop up notifications found in display settings unchecked? I'm running this as well thats the only setting I'm aware of relating to battery notifications. I havent had my battery drain down that low yet to see if it still beeps yet since its only been a couple days.

Haha good one. Just the basic greenify and the use of app quarantine to stop the stuff I don't use. This zerolemon 7000mah battery is just insane. With the stock battery I was charging it every 8 to 10 hours of use.
