Hi,
I've search but I've not found the answer and I can't understand the reason why we have 2 development areas " Optimus G Original Android Development" and " Optimus G Android Development" in both I find reference to E975 model.
Can someone tell me why this?
Thanks
XDA has split it in 2012 in original (AOSP) and normal (LG based)
this can be found at all new phone subforums

This is not the reason.
The Original forum, has it's name says, it's when you have original work. When you are not using others work or when you have changed enough things to say it's your own. With that said, I believe you can understand what's the other forum for.

thanks Chad for this clear information about this :good:

I guess the title says it all - just got a new tablet (a Hannspree Hannspad SN10), and was "shocked" to see no forum/forii for this device exists on XDA - Several people have broached the subject - mostly on the Viewsonic GTablet forums (similar device) and slatedroid has a forum for the device.
My question is: how does one go about starting a new forum for a new (at least in XDA) device?
Thanks!
We add devices which have proven to have a big activity and many members, Admin team revises every request for adding a new section and some of them make it, some other not.
Members canĀ“t open new sections of course.
Said that I am moving your thread to proper section, please be patient.

Please open a sub thread for the Hannspad so we can lure some devs in-

Are you not able to find the development section?
Hi,
several users told you already - the Xperia Pro lives in the Xperia Arc forums.
You will find posts labelled with "{PRO}" or "[PRO]" and sometimes "mk16i" or "mk16a" or even "iyokan".
Be sure to use the search functions of the site before opening new threads and use the above labels for better search results. Especially, try to avoid the search term "Xperia pro" as it will dominantly lead you to the device "Xperia mini pro" which has a much broader user base (and which has its own "rooms" on this site). This is true for searches on the Internet too.
You will find loads of tweaks and information in the Xperia Arc Android Development forum.
Read the splendid thread in the general forum about available roms.
Good luck and welcome to the little happy community of Xperia pro users!

My request is that I want & all others may also want LG Optimus Net (P690) Category on this Forum. Please create a New category & shift all existing LG Optimus Net's or P690 threads in it. You have category even for LG Optimus Me (P350) which is of lower configuration compared to Optimus Net? I am not saying that you are doing partiality but Please do a little favor
Please make such requests in the ***New Forum Device Requests*** thread.
Sorry for that!
Actually I noticed that post after making this post & was unable to delete my post... Can anybody tell me How to delete posts in this forum?
You can't delete posts yourself, but if you like on the little warning triangle across from the first post, that will bring it to a moderators attention and they'll close it.
Closed by request
Can anyone with an Optimus G Pro and the Value pack upgrade share the APK, like the camera to see if the dual camera works natively on the other versions of the LGOG?

My phone is a LG Optimus G (a F180 converted to E975, stock Euro firmware), but from googling this issue it seems to be a problem that can strike any phone with no readily apparent solution...
I first noticed it while playing Star Wars KOTOR, where it'd get stuck; flipping the phone (to better orient the charging lead) started leaving the picture upside down. Initially, I could fix it by long-pressing the home button to get at my notification bar and toggling auto-rotate off and on, before it crapped out entirely (necessitating an orientation-locking app), which led me to think it was a software issue...
But after googling the problem and seeing how widespread it is, I'm thinking maybe these sensors are just prone to failing? I saw all sorts of possible solutions offered, which apparently work for some, but it seems nothing solves it for many, including factory resets and flashing firmware... I uninstalled KOTOR when I was done with it, but to no avail. I don't fancy figuring out how to flash the firmware again, but if that's what it takes...
Does anyone know anything about this issue? Am I stuck with a slightly crippled phone now?
Bump
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA assist. Please standby while we have your thread/question moved to the appropriate sub-forum for your device.
For future reference you can find your device sub-forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
LG Optimus G
Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum (this is where your thread is going to be moved to):
Optimus G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Hi, I know there's a sub-forum for my particular phone, but the reason I posted here is that it seems to be an issue with the sensor chip that's common to many phones.
And I haven't seen much evidence of any solid knowledge about the issue, so I wanted to avoid restricting possible responses to a tiny subset of experts.
This place appears to be lacking some sort of 'umbrella' forum for issues that affect more than one model of phone... I thought maybe this could be it.
XDA Assist isn't a general technical support area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. You might have luck posting in one of the more general sub-forums (they do exist)

Yep, I don't see any issues with that at all. Good luck [emoji1]

Perhaps check the N4 threads. There was sensor issues with early gee roms, but seeing as you are already on a stock i cannot think another way to help.
I had to send in my Phone after the sensors stopped working. It seemed to be a hardware fault. They only worked if the phone temperature was under 10Celsius.I would restore the original Firmware and send it to LG.
Hope I helped you
Try restoring to stock firmware, or flash stock CM12..?
Sent from my SM-G850S using XDA Free mobile app
Stock Firmware
You need to flash the original F180 Firmware and send it to LG afterwards
