Is haptic feedback slider turned down? If so, turn that up. That might help.

I have the settings to Vibrate: Never and the Notification Ringtone to Silent .. yet every time i get a txt message, its like an atomic bomb going off! Help!

I'd like to vibrate on phone calls only and not sms, other basic Samsung notifications. Is there an app, workaround to make this possible? The default settings don't offer this option. Stock sms app preferred, not gosmspro.
Thanks!

that makes perfect sense. -_-
thanks man
each app has its own settings for sound and vibrate
you can configure SMS to not vibrate
and keep phone only to vibrate
Hey, I was wondering if there is any way to some how decrease the vibration of this phone when you get a text message. Like with the iPhone you can make it so that there is a silent vibrate when you get a text or you can make it the normal vibrate. The vibrate of this phone is ridiculous, and sometimes i like that and other times i dont so i was wondering it there is some sort of app where i can toggle the vibration intensity.
Settings -> sound -> vibration intensity ?
(Go to home screen and press the menu button to get to settings menu)

That's only for the haptic feedback. It won't work to decrease the messaging vibration..

I really don't see what's the problem. I keep mine on always vibrate. But if its really a big issue why not just turn the damn thing off?? Smh lol

Im not complaining about it, i like it alot but then i dont like it, example when i am school and i get a text message everyone can hear the damn thing vibrate.
i have look and look and look over the settings on the phone and cant find a way to solve my issue
when i get a phone call it just makes a beep sound and it stays silence
i had set my ringtone i have all the volume all the way up
i had look over the call settings and nothing, i cant find nothing to make the phone to ring with the ringtone stead of making that beep sound
i am new to samsung and still learning all the stuff it can do but
i gotten tired of trying to solve this
maybe one of you know about this and know how to solve it

That is unusual, if your phone is new maybe you should exchange it.
It very well can be a dud of a phone....
Could try a factory reset.

I was careful with my wording of the title.
But anyways...
Anyone else's phone just not even vibrate? Mine doesn't at all the only time it does is when I put it on vibrate. But calls, texts etc...it won't.
Is this a common issue or can anyone shed some light?

Have you gone into settings --> sound and made sure vibrate and ring is checked? Have you gone into messaging settings, scrolled to the bottom, and under "notifications" have vibrate as "always"?

You have to enable vibration for notifications on a per-app basis. Changing it to vibrate mode basically just sets a flag that apps should be silent. They'll vibrate only if specified. Kind of quirky in my opinion, but that's just how it is.
Still no vibrate.

So does anyone know why my phone won't vibrate when I get a call if I have everything set to vibrate?

It doesn't vibrate at all? Or only when an incoming call comes in?
