What recovery are you using?
Stock?
If yes..
Try getting TWRP or CWM..
You can reboot to system through them or flash a rom or something..
Sent from my GT-N7100

At first try another firmware (a newer one than N7100XXALJ3...)
If it doesn't chage try a factory firmware but normally this error message just means that you have to flash an 'one package' firmware.

N7100XXDMB2 => not PIT file so forget it
N7100XXDLL7 => PIT file OK
N7100XXDLJ2 => PIT file OK
But DLJ2 doesn't have some important fixs so take the firmware XXDLL7.

Use Odin v3.07 and flash in PDA mode. Also, make sure you have the right tar file for your Note and turn Kies off so it doesn't interfere with Odin.

If you are sure you have the correct file for your device and are using Odin correctly, might try using Heimdall to flash instead of Odin: http://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/
I had a similar problem with my note 8.0. I can't remember exactly what I did but I managed to get it to reboot. It'll reboot to download but after it booted into download mode my Odin was able to find it.
---------- Post added at 09:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:03 PM ----------
I think maybe holding down the power button should reboot it.

Tried heimdall, but no work. I think it's because of Knox. It won't flash Stock rom through Odin or heimdall.
BTW, i flashed a recovery through Odin and it works. Now im running a Custom Rom. Thanks for the help guys!
I'm currently in the same situation
What recovery did you flash?
I odin 4.4.4 poland.. it failed, it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies
I can't go to recovery, I tried to odin recovery but no luck
and in odin mode it says Secure Download : enabled
EDIT: I use philz_touch_6.48.4-n5100.tar.md5.. and it works

Everything starts wit a mistake. I had CM snapshot 12 and i tried to flash the stock rom. Probably i wrong the version of the stock firmware. When the process ends with a fail the phone was softbriccked... I tried many things (exactly i don't remeber every thing i done...) and at the end th only way i found was to flash a new recovery. After that i flash CM12 but when i turn on the phone all the mobile connection (network and wifi) don't work... I tried to flash a lot of different modem but no one works...
I attach the screenshot of the dowload mode...
Thanks

Be careful when you format system, it's dangerous and the only fix for it is flashing a ROM.
Try these:
1. Download this and extract the files in the ZIP: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/40040/I9195XXUCNK4_I9195OXXCNK5_SEE.zip/
2. You should get 2 files;
I9195XXUCNK4_I9195OXXCNK5_I9195XXUCNK4_HOME.tar.md5
SS_DL.dll
Ignore the SS_DL.dll. You will use the other file.
3. Go to Odin and thick only 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time'. Now Insert the .tar.md5 I named above in the AP place.
4. Turn off your phone and boot into recovery. Clear data and cache. Now restart to download mode.
5. If you are asked to continue or to cancel and restart phone, choose continue.
6. Keep your phone like that and check that you have this (or similar) layout in Odin;
Now press start and wait until everything have finished and your phone boots (May take 8-11 minutes) If you followed these steps and you got a fail, then you must have done something wrong or your phone has something wrong in terms of hardware. Good Luck mate.

Maybe i found something... My IMEI is null... and i don't have a backup...

Stupid question, sorry, but I bricked my phone and I'm stumped...

So I followed the instructions here i found on google by searching "how to how to root s6 edge plus", second link down... and it was a bad idea. Now my phone will boot, and show the lock screen for a second or two, and then just reboot. So I'm stuck in a bootloop. I'm fairly new to the android rooting scene (I've been jailbreaking iPhones sice 2007). What do I do? I tried restoring the default firmware in Odin but it didn't work. HELP!

Your phone is not bricked.
Best bet is to odin flash the official stock firmware and then go into recovery mode.
When in recovery do a factory reset.
Then reboot the phone.
After doing the above the phone will work fine.
Good luck,
Have a nice evening.

Hey all I'm not sure what happened but I reflashed to stock KitKat and while I did that I installed all the newest updates to receive Lolipop and after I finished that I downloaded CF-AutoRoot. I rooted it and got stuck with a bootloop so I went into the stock recovery and erased everything. So I repeated step one by reflashing KitKat and now Odin is giving me an error and it isn't working.

You have a dev edition or retail?
Retail I believe
Could I just go into TWRP, go to my computer, put on a ROM, transfer it to my phone, and then install something from there?
I don't really care about stock at this point

If you're able to get in TWRP you do not have retail version. Do you have any ROMs or TWRP backups on an SD card? The CF-autoroot part is confusing me I don't remember ever having to use that.

Nope none. I tried downloading about 4 different stock roms and they all give me the same error in Odin.
I'm able to get into TWRP and Custom OS but that's it. The phone just keeps restarting after the Note 4 logo

You can't flash stock roms (.zip files)in ODIN. They need to be .tar files
First check under your battery it should say developer device. If not you have a retail version. If you do have developer edition try to go through these steps and hopefully you will be okay. .

If you have a retail version try this.

You said you accepted the lollipop update when you were on Kit Kat?
I need the Sprint firmware but it doesn't say anything about Developer or Retail under the battery

Yes definitely just do an advance wipe and wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik cache before. But don't confuse TWRP with the stock recovery. TWRP is a custom recovery.

Verizon Note 4 Will not flash in Odin

Alright i did a major mess up on my phone , Alright so i was rooted and was on CM13 well i decided to go back to stock rom so i downloaded the lastest Firmware and use odin to flash it and while it was flashing it failed . I don't know if you tried already, but perhaps you could simultaneously flash a PIT file (hsbadr has a post over this) and a stock firmware image in ODIN. This should fix any borked partitions, if there are any. If this doesn't work, then I'm afraid I can't help you further. You'd have to wait on someone more knowledgeable than me. Or, you can take it into a verizon store or best-buy and ask for help there?

Is this on first boot go through set up and when your on the home screen power off the phone then power it on and if you were on cm 13 and flashed it with TWRP you tripped Knox so if powering off doesn't work then you can't get rid of it without rooting

Bren123 (or anyone who can help), I am having a same type of problem flashing in Odin. I would like to put my phone back to kitkat, back when it was smooth and fast. When I have tried to flash with Odin it failed everytime, however it was an older version of Odin v3.10.7. I have a stock kitkat rom from Sam mobile. Can I load it with the newer Odin and the Pit file you shared links for? Any help would be appreciated!

Can anyone please help me get my phone back to kitkat???
I can only flash marshmallow, or now lollipop v5.11, after following the instructions above. I still can't get the kitkat firmware to work.
Please help!

ok first make sure you are using this odin https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312968872162493207
Make sure you use this pit https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001613364
Then make sure you are using this tar https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24411628330026105
Extract odin and put it any where then extract the tar from the zip and go to the odin I uploaded in the left theirs a tab labeled pit click that and click pit in that tab select the pit i gave you than go to AP and and go to where you extracted that tar and select it wait for it to check MD5 it may stop responding just wait than click start and wait for it to flash than you should be on stock unrooted lollipop
Click to collapse
thank you, this helped me out when my odin got stuck for 30+ minutes.
I use to have a Note 4 Verizon good cell, but I then change it to a T-Mobile N910T unlock easer to flash them no boot-loaders are blocked, but thats just my saying.
I went through the process ... i have root and i can only install a 5.1.1 rom for the life of me i am unable to flash any 6 or 7 roms ... ideas?

I know this has been a couple years but I am in the same boat . I went through the steps and I get a flash write failure?
