Haii friends,
I have only custom rom with same specification as factory stock rom ... but added some additional features:
Battery % showing in batter icon itself
root softwares installed as system apps
aftr installing that recovery ur internal sd is swapped with external sd ...,so if u have 16 gb card like me then u can use 15 gb for installing games that wil be amazing
and while dropping down your notificationbar... like samsung and sony mobiles u wil get quick settings such as data wifi torch sim 1/2 etc...
and new awesome themes(HTC sence themes) installed in system itself...
If u need this rom i wil give u the link... don worry it wil surely work and i have stock rom also if anything happens u can restore also reply in the post if u need the custom rom
Hi prasath,

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6WBFlAKqe30cW53Z3hKZ1g3b2M/edit
Steps for installation :
Once the .zip file for the ROM is downloaded from the Internet and uploaded onto your external sd storage via USB cable, you’ll need to turn off your phone and then turn it on to boot into the recovery. Booting into recovery takes a different button combination than just the Power button, and this varies among devices as well. To cover all devices, you’ll probably be fine if you simply hold all the physical buttons on your phone while pressing the Power button, such as Power + Volume Down (and Up just to be sure) + Home (if it’s a physical button).
Once the recovery has loaded, you’ll need to navigate its menus to wipe the phone and then flash the .zip file onto the device. For ClockworkMod Recovery, the correct options are wipe data/factory reset and install zip from sdcard. Once this has completed, reboot the device normally and it should load your custom ROM.
After successful installation .. click reboot system now and the first boot wil be in HTC White screen for more than 10 minutes after that welcome screen and system setup wil come ... then you wil be having a custom rom installed HTC Desire sv
Note: First boot wil take more than 10 minutes don't remove battery before that .. it may brick your device ....

Hi guys, i am a newbie here.
Last night i was trying to root my desire using unrevoked. I followed the guide from XDA step by step and everything seemed fine until word "done" appear in unrevoked.
After that, desire supposed to enter recovery mode and clockworkdmod but there was nothing appear in the screen. My desire suddenly shut down.
Can you tell me what am i suppose to do then because i want to put custom rom in my desire and now there's nothing i can do because it can't enter recovery mode (it only able to enter bootloader or Android OS itself).
Thanks

when you are in boot loader, use the volume down key and goto recovery and git power button. you should then be taken to clockwork recovery. this is where you can select your rom from SD card and flash
I've tried to do that and now it stuck in HTC Logo. Doest it mean i've to try unrevoked again or simply unroot it?
try rebooting by taking battery off. i'm not an expert but you might have to do it manually using the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189
did you install the unrevoked drivers?
Okay i will try. Btw, in case i want to unroot, can you tell me where i can get "RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.19.707.7_Radio_32.36.00.2 8U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126179" ? The link from XDA seems down and i can download any.
Me and another member have encountered the same issue, seems there's some bug in HBOOT or something.
Boot into Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset. Once you confirm it, it will reboot your phone into Recovery.
BUT, unless you re-format (partition) your SD Card, you won't be able to get back in again (unless you do the Factory data reset again).
This seems to happen randomly. Right now I can get into Recovery just fine. But once the bug occurs, the only way to get it to stop is to format your SD card.
Now i am thinking to unroot it than trying to do the whole rooting step all over again. Can you tell me where i can get the RUU for HTC Desire Asia

Okay, i've done unrooting with HTC Desire RUU Asi and what happen now my SLCD is brick. I am really hopeless right now because guide for "SLCD Brick" doesn't even work in my phone because once again my htc can't enter recovery mode ><
"I am trying to use the guide from sprinker right now. Hopefully it will work"
when you are in hboot the volume down/up button work?
Hi all,
I also have the problem that I can no longer enter the recovery mode on my desire.
Basically, whenever I am in the bootloader menu (either by pressing vol-down+power, return+power, or via ROMManager) and then select "recovery" I get right back to the "fastboot" screen.
I tried uninstalling/installing/upgrading ROMManager and also tried flashing clockwork via the newest version of Unrevoked (downloaded yesterday).
Nothing helps :-(
What I didn't try, yet, is reformatting my SDCard or resetting my device via "Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset". (I don't want to install all my apps >again<; I'm also a bit afraid that I break something an then cannot even reflash using recovery).
Here is some more info about my device:
- Flashed rom: Leedroid 2.1a
- HBOOT 0.83.0001
- RADIO 5.10.05.23
I would be really greatful if anyone had a solution for this problem.
P.s.: in case I HAVE to reset/format: can I somehow make a backup of all my apps&settings?
Hi all, I have the same problem now.
Everything works, after s-off, except I can no longer enter Recovery - any solution?
I didn't find an easy solution. I had to do the following (some steps might be optional but I wanted to be sure):
- Formated SD card (ext3 and fat partition)
- Complete reset via RUU (RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_T2_Radio_32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09_release_137222_signed.exe)
- Using unrevoked to reinstall recovery rom
- Reinstalled my custom rom (Leedroid)
Now everything works.
BTW: via TitaniumBackup I could backup all my apps and data quite easily. Didn't expect it to work that well
thanks- what about s-off - is it working now for you?
"s-off" = ?
I Have a similar problem... I can't enter recovery. When i press "recovery mode", I just get a black screen with a phone and a "!" in it.
Have to pull battery to reboot desire.
I have formatted sd.
Quite annoying, cause I need to wipe my battery stats, and I don't know any other way to do it, than going to recovery.
I tried to update ROM to Cyanogenrom which was unsuccessful - just get boot loop.
I also get the same 'red triangle with exclamation mark on phone' icon when trying to go to recovery mode.
So now I have a Desire which boot loops and cant enter recovery mode ...
anyone know how to get out of this one?
This might work for you
WAIT, BEFORE YOU START, CREATE A GOLDCARD. IT IS VERY NECESSARY. THINGS WILL GO WRONG IF YOU DONT.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO BOOT GO TO THE BOOTLOADER MENU.
Firstly, download this file. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13240777/Desire Downgrade.ZIP
Extract the files.
Run the win-down.bat file.
Follow on screen instructions.
After the process is completed, Head to the root of your SD card and check if there is a file named P99***IMG (FORGOT THE EXACT NAME BUT IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS) there should be one.
Secondly, disconnect your phone and turn it off.
After that boot up your phone while pressing the volume down button and the power button.
The bootloader should be checking for files after awhile and once it found the file that is supposed to be in the root of your sd card, press the volume up button (NOT EXACTLY SURE, SHOULD BE THE ONE THAT SAYS YES AND CONTINUE)
It should be writing files to your phone. and replaces everything. E.G: HBOOT, RECOVERY,RADIO and such.
It should be writing files successfully and then it would ask you to reboot. Continue with the reboot and you should be having your Desire back to stock. Perfect.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE ARE RISKS INVOLVED LIKE FAILURE OF WRITING TO THE HBOOT. PLEASE REMEMBER TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. MAINLY, DO NOT BLAME ME FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG.
FINALLY, YOU SHOULD BE READING EVERYTHING UP TO HERE AND THAT YOU MUST HAVE A GOLDCARD (A GOLD SD CARD)
Hope this helps you and please ask if you have further questions. PM me if the questions cannot be answered here. Good Luck
This should bring back your phone to stock. Root your phone again after it is done
i have the same issue. but i got stuck when trying to partition my sd card. Now i can't enter Android itself only the bootloader. But i also lost my clockwork recovery...
it keeps looping the HTC Quitly brilliant bootscreen... Forever!
i am now formatting my sd card with my pc. will i then be able to go into recovery again using a zip file from clockwork i found? using this:
fake-flash
Fake-flash is only possible with root access, you need to be rooted to use it. Basically, its a way to have recovery running on the phone without using a PC (making it safer as you are less likely to brick using no USB cable to push files, instead, you push directly from your phone). You can use "ROM Manager" from the marketplace to do this. Simply place the downloaded test recovery image on the phone and the downloaded rom zip (renamed to update.zip) and flash using ROM Manager.
Preperation
Download the fake-flash update zip from one of the links below
Copy the update.zip to the root of your SD card (the name MUST remain as update.zip)
When you want to launch the recovery image
Turn on your device with 'volume down' pressed and select 'Recovery'
When the exclamation mark appears, press and hold 'volume up' then press 'power'
Select the second option, 'Apply sdcard:update.zip
That's it, ClockworkMod recovery should launch!
Click to collapse
and then installing a ROM with it?
(sry for bad english)
i'm having the exact same problem. i've tried fake flash and it does nothing for me, so does flashing the clockwork recovery image. the only one i haven't used yet is the downgrade...hope that will help
Hello
I have a HTC Desire (gsm).
Already rooted, with Cyanomod Gen 6.0.1
I upgrade using Rom Manager application, to CM 6.1.1 + Google Apps.
Download CM 6.1.1 and install seem normal.
But after reboot, when the HTC white screen change to Cyanogen Blue logo, after some time the blue logo start again
Impossible to boot ! My HTC Desire loops on CM logo...
I remove battery, try to reboot on recovery (holding the "down" key when Power on).
I have the menu.
When I select "recovery", after some second, the screen go black with a HTC picture and a /!\ RED !
It seem I'm blocked.
How to put a rom on SD-card, and reboot to install this Rom ?
I download CM 6.1.1, try to put it as "updade.zip" on the SD-card, but I don't know how to install it ...
Thanks for your help.
You need to get a custom recovery. You can use either ClockworkMod or Amon. You need to flash it through fastboot (I think) or you can do it through recovery. Command is something like
Code:
fastboot flash recovery filename.img
I am not sure though so you might want to check it out on here.
Once you have the custom recovery, boot into it and then you can navigate through the menu's. You can mount your SD card as USB so then you can transfer the rom across, then just install the rom by going to choose zip from SD card (or something like that).
**EDIT**
Comes to my attention that to flash via fastboot you need to be S-Off to do this.
The update.zip is your fake flash recovery image so you probably removed it. Get the CWM (same version as you were using) update.zip and put it back on the root of the sd. Next time don't rename anything to updated.zip, just keep the file name and use "install zip from sd".

Does the recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-bravo.img is compatible with the HTC Desire (not HTC Bravo) ?
I simply copy this recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-bravo.img to the root of the SD-Card (from my Ubuntu PC with a micro-SD usb reader) ?
I have the Android SDK on my Ubuntu PC, but not the "fastboot" utility

Ok, I find the explication : S-Off = partition signed off ...
Probably I'm NOT S-Off, because I never read about it before.

Manually upgrade from SD, but always loop on CM logo
Hello,
I don't know what I can do ...
So, I explain exactly my problem :
- CM 6.0.1, update to 6.1.1 seem to failed : loop on Blue CM logo
What I can do now on my HTC Desire :
Boot with the "Volume down key" : I have access to the menu :
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.80.0000
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.10.05.17.2
Mar 29 2010
HBOOT USB PLUB (this change when I plug or unplug USB)
...
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE (I try to clear storage, but doesn't solve the problem)
SIMLOCK
----------------------------------
I can go in Fastbook menu :
...
FASTBOOT USB (change when I plug USB)
...
BOOTLOADER
Reboot
etc ...
------------------------------------
When I go in the Bootloader menu, after some secondes, I see messages (fast, difficult to read)
No Image !
Loading [...]
No image or wrong image
------------------------------------
Do I need to copy an image file to my SD-Card ?
Which file ? A CM 6.1.1 file or a ClockworkMod Recovery img ?
------------------------------------
Do I need to use "Fastboot USB" ?
How ?
I don't have the "fastboot" utility in my sdk on my Ubuntu PC.
------------------------------------
It's probably not difficult to solve... but of course I not know how
Thanks for your help.
==================
Oh, ok ! I find (remember) that when I have the black screen with the /!\ Red, I can access to the Recovery menu with the "Volume UP key" and "Power" (not down key)
I try :
- erease Date : not solved
- erease Cache : not solved
So I try to manually install CM 6.1.1 :
- I copy the CM 6.1.1 zip file to the SC-Card
- rename to update.zip
- reboot the HTC Desire in recovery
Installation of Cyanogen MOD 6.1.1 seem ok :
...
Installing update...
Welcome to CyanogenMod-6.1.1-Desire !
Install from sdcard complete.
- Reboot
arghh.. NOOOO ...
Always LOOP on the cyanogen(mod) blue animated logo
I hope you have some ideas to help me.
Thanks
Didier
Solved
I flash again and again ...
I succeed to flash CM 6.0.1, and it works... (my Desire was in 6.0.1)
but not 6.1.1
So, I thing it must be some data corrupt, or not compatible with CM 6.1.1
So :
I copy again the CM 6.1.1 update.zip on the SDcard
I reboot again in recovery (2)
I flash update.zip
before reboot, I erease data and cache partition
And ok, it works... but no Google Apps... but my HTC Desire boot again.
Hi,
I have in my hand a DHD from virgin telecom.
Now, in belgium we have three providers: Base, Mobistar, Proximus, Mobistar and Proximus I can register on there network but I can not register to base network!
that means I need to unlock. First and foremost I have to root release by s-off, then engs-off I did that
my CID is now 11 ......,
that means that my DHD is unlocked but I still get no network.
I already did downgrade from 1.75 to 1.32 with goldcard,
En then i have change the buildversion to 26.04.03.17_m2
Actualy, i do everything correct but why cant i register to base network? It is very strange. Must i try another rom version
Forexample revulution hd or something? But i see not a piont!
Or must i pay for a unlock code? En how works that system can they really unlocked from the air? If they so, than must them hacking the system in dublin eho they check the imei numbers..
Have somebody any suggestion to my problem, otherwise i gona sell them ((
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
try installing some other rom and try putting in a different sim card than what you currently have.
ok, i'm know trying to install the revulution hd 2.1 rom now.
1/ according to the guide i must download the full wipe and then the 1.3 upgrade Wipe 1.3 for the safety of the device
2/ I need put these two files (.zip file) in the sd card with the rom file.
3/ then should I be sure if I'm released by the root in the Terminal Emulator Android
typing SU, As a result I've gotten #.
so far I have everything correct according to the guide.
4/The next step should be in the rom manager, I need the flash clockworkmod
and then rebooting which means boot in the clockworkmod.
but when I reboot I got that stupid htc logo. I tried that part again the same old sh*t again and again i'im every time stuck in that logo!! what am I doing wrong?
thx
Are you sure the problem isn't the SIM card and not the handset?
In the UK I use Orange and no matter what I do to the phone it won't let me use Vodafone. That's because its an Orange SIM card.
As for your current problem.
Take out the battery and boot the phone normally.
Within ROM Manager you need to flash Clockwork Mod Recovery 2.x.x.x not 3.x.x.x you may need to do this twice as some users experience problems with flashing it once. Ensure you accept any Superuser requests.
Now, with the ROM & Full Wipe .zips on your SD Card boot into Recovery, either from ROM Manager or by turning off and starting holding volume down. Select Recovery using the volume keys and press power to enter. Make sure HTC FastBoot is unchecked first (Settings > Applications > FastBoot)
Now once in Recovery highlight "install zip from sdcard", press power, highlight "choose zip from sdcard", press power, highlight "Full Wipe 1.3.zip", press power, highlight "Yes - Install Full Wipe 1.3.zip", press power.
Now repeat this process for the ROM you downloaded and wish to install. Once complete highlight "reboot system now". Done.
Sorry if this teaching you to suck eggs, that's not my intention.
@nuri1: sorry but you're doing all wrong (I'm newby also so I can write such a sympatic comment)
For your network problem:
If you mean that you tried SIM from each provider... it could be the phone.
If with one SIM card you can't connect to another provider... it's a SIM card problem (or agreement between providers)
For your flash problem:
you mixed too many things. Take one step by step guide and follow it carefully.
You can see your phone as 3 layers:
Boot
Recovery
Build
To go in boot:
1/ power the phone and hold vol-
2/ adb reboot bootloader
To go to recovery
1/ on some build, long press "power" choose "reboot" then tic "recovery"
2/ use ROM Manager and choose the option to reboot in recovery
3/ adb reboot recovery
All the rooting of the phone (S-OFF, ENG-OFF...) will allow to install the "recovery" on your phone. It's te first steps to do.
When you're done, in recovery just flash your build (it has to be a zip on your SD). The "Full Wipe 1.3" is just an empty build used to clear the NAND (at least one part). You don't have to use 2 different ones.
So when you talked about 2 zip... for me it's wrong.
I have my DHD since last week and there are good and easy guides in the dev section.
If CWM is installed follow the clear explanantions of "andyharney"
Tip: first launch of ROM Manager will freeze your phone (at least each time for me). It's due to the SU permission. Easy to solve, launch "solve permissions issues" (sorry translated from french), accept the SU warning then back (no need to go through the full process).
Then you can choose to reboot "recovery", no hang anymore.
hi,
you said in the rom manager you must click clockworkmod 2.0.xxx en no 3.0 xxx
but i can only see 3.0.0.6 en no the other?
wtf!!!
thx
i got it
thanks anyway
lets rock!!
Hi All,
after i have installed font installer (from rom toolbar), after installation it asked me for reboot the device. from then onward it just show htc logo that's it. day before yesterday only i have unlocked the bootloader provided by htc.
I have htc wildfire.
even i use recovery option (pressing volume - and power on) image of cell shows with some symbol.
i dont have a recovery.img file in my sd card. after saving custom rec.img file in sd card can solve the issue (with the use of recovery option in hboot).
Please help me out.

Hi,I'm no pro so I'll try and help.
I think you need to install a cwm recovery.if you can find a way to place files onto your sdcard then find a pc49img version of cwm and place this on sdcard then using your phone with sdcard inserted you press power on and vol down then let your system find pc49img and install. Goto to wildfire, development, sticky, and search in 3xenos thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 to find cwm and everything else you need.
Hope this helps,if not then someone else will be more helpful and explain better procedures.

I don't think the PC49IMG method is working after unlocking with the HTC tool, flashing a recovery with fastboot seems to work though.

Use Fastboot
- Download this attachment and extract it to any folder (eg: C:\fastboot)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=630611&d=1308537074
- Download CWM IMG Image for Wildfire (Buzz) from here:
http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
- Place that IMG file along with the 4 files from the attachment in the same folder you created
- Now, turn off your Wildfire, connect to PC, and turn on in HBoot
- Navigate to Fastboot and Select it
- Open a Command Prompt Window (Start > Run > cmd)
- Type the following one by one and press Enter (It is assumed you created the folder in C Drive and have named it fastboot)
- cd\
- cd fastboot
- fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
- This should produce 2 lines of code - SENDING RECOVERY and WRITING RECOVERY. If both states OK at the end, you should have CWM installed successfully after this.

Cheers scratch.
1 thing though, fastboot for a noob might be complicated, lol damn I'm no way experienced but I wouldn't consider myself a noob either and I still can't get my head round fastboot/adb.
I know for certain that using terminal method works but can't remember the process or command.!!!
Eeeeek lol I think I'm a semi noob.

U just download "PC49IMG" and save the file just in sdcard (not in anyfolder)... and then now restart it by pressing power + vol down, while sd checking it asks for the recovery installation, just give YES, then now delete that PC49IMG file in the sdcard (by putting it in card reader or something else..) and again restart it by power + vol down, now u go to recovery, now u will have further options. u can proceed now to flash rom or something......
Enjoy..........
stuck at sending recovery on CMD

Now that's just a stupid thing to say to someone who clearly doesn't understand fully what they're doing! From your comment what's to stop this Guy Googling a PC49IMG.zip and getting something completely different to what he actually needs??
Then he'll be even more confused.
If you know of a PC49IMG.zip that will work after unlocking the bootloader the HTC way then please share it with us.

tried both method but none helped
tried sending PC49IMG.zip to SD Card and boot it displays "parsing PC49IMG.zip" and nothing happens.

anyway to go back to stock froyo ?
find the recovery image you want then follow this exactly. this is how i did it.
I. Flash a New Recovery Image
1. Find the recovery image you want and MAKE SURE IT IS FOR YOUR PHONE (should say in where you download it what phone it is for).
2. Write down the filename of the recovery image EXACTLY as it is written EG (recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.7.111102-j_r0dd_mod-buzz.img).
3. Put the recovery image file on the SD card (not in any folders).
4. Download Terminal from the Market if you don’t already have it and install it (there are a few different terminals in the Market some have an onscreen keyboard and some don’t experiment till you get one, also hold down Menu in some of them to bring up the onscreen keyboard if you don’t see it).
5. Open the Terminal program and type the following (with hitting enter at the end of each line):
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/name-of-recovery.img
6. In the above text, replace name-of-recovery.img with the name of your recovery image (make sure the .img is on the end).EG recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.7.111102-j_r0dd_mod-buzz.img
7. Phone should pause for a second and then show you a new blank line. Turn it off and back on by holding down Home and Power to ensure it flashed correctly. Done.
Thanks for the detailed information but i can't follow those instructions as my phone can't boot.
i somehow managed to flash recovery but it is taking a while to backup current ROM.
How much time does it take to backup a ROM ?
Is it necessary to backup OR can i directly flash CM7 ?
Your current rom doesn't work so don't backup, just flash a new one.

damn whenever i try to backup OR wipe data/cache it stuck at Hat
Use the trackball not the power button.

Bad luck lol
Please note that you are doing all tasks in your own risk.
Preparation:
Download a clockwork recovery img file, for me I had 5.0.2.0 ace:
download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-ace.imgSince I am new in this field, you may need to do a research by yourself to sure this is the img for your device.
The link having box of versions:
download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries
A new ROM, you can look in the dev. page (or you already having a ROM wanna flash)
*You may need to unzip the ROM and zip it in "storage only" mode.
*Put your re-zipped ROM file into memory card (Should be in the root directory). You can see there is a boot.img in ROM, copy it out of ROM and you will need it later.
Backup all your stuffs like SMS, contact book etc... (I had failed in SMS and all my free apps)
Step:
Go HTC dev. to unlock your boot loader, if you have the problem about cmd error (like ERROR command dont exists) in getting token, you should look step 1 really carefully because you forgot to flash the RUU (Wonder it is a popular problem...)
*At here HTC dev. will ask you to create a folder to hold adb.exe, move your boot.img into it.
After unlock your boot loader, you should see the words ***unlocked*** in HBoot screen, so then go to fastboot and still using the cmd in prev. step, hits:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.imgYes your recovery img should put together with adb.exe in the same folder
So then now you have an unlocked bootloader and a clockwork recovery in your unroot device Backup your current ROM with CW recovery AGAIN (just for some accidents if they occur...)
In CW Recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, in advanced page, wipe Dalvik cache and wipe battery stats.
*This will erase your data and CANNOT undo.
Select "intall zip from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard", find your zipped ROM file and say Yes.
Congratulations you had successed to flash a ROM BUT if you are the first time flashing ROM on your device (and this is what supposed to be lol). Your device will freeze at the boot screen (which is white background with green words "HTC"). So then here is the last step...
Go to bootloader and enter fastboot. Remeber the boot.img? Type in:
fastboot flash boot boot.imgin cmd.
So now you can enjoy your new ROM (Most of ROMs will take a minute to boot in the first time)
These stuffs took me lot of days to research... It may have another better, easy way. But I would appreciate if there are some thanks for me
AAHK does all this in half a step, but thanx anyway. Good to see people trying.

I thought I reach the end but YOU really saved all of us.
The first and the BEST post.

For some reasons, it didn't help me at first, did a couple of battery pulls then tried pressing power button and holding down both volume up and down buttons and finally it went to bootloader menu.
