It is nothing. Just means you don't have any apps installed on your external SD(android secure).
thanks

What error this is normal says same thing every time I back up rom for a couple years now. You just need to set android secure to sd or ex sd card.

Hello
i have a boot loop after restoring a backup, because after installing 'gapps' to the Cyanogenmod 7, it didn't work anymore
So i went into the Recovery mode to restore the backup.
But after restoring is the splash screen in a booting loop.
What can i do now?
There isn't another backup on my sd card
Is it possible to install another Rom directly from the recovery menu?

brandall, thankyou, I was in a nandroid-restore-boot-loop and your tip about not restoreing 'boot' saved me too (messinga around with my brothers Desire and I don't want him kicking my ass becaused of needing an unwanted full wipe)
but it's strange that an nandroid of a fully working installation fails when restored :S (had the same HBOOT when backup and restore, and the restore was made 15 minutes after creation :S )
Go into recovery, wipe everything and restore backup.

Yes we both did that, but somehow the backup went broken.
I tried wipeing EVERYTHING and restore backup maybe 5 times, but boot loop every time.
So the solution was to wipe and do an advanced restore were you restored ext, system, data and cache.
But NOT restore Boot!

Hi,
Im currently running CM7 with CustomMTD partitions 150.40.
It was running perfectly till today morning.
I just wanted to hav a nandroid backup so i booted into recovery and performed a nandroid backup asusual it got hanged while backing up system around upto 30mins.
So, i powered it off by removing battery and started to boot normally and it got hanged at htc white screen.
Please guys solve my problem.
EDIT: Forgot it mention that when i boot into recovery its showing the following statements
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
Try flashing the Custom MTD boot attachment before rebooting. If it doesn't work, then try reflashing the ROM again (without wiping - so you don't lose data), then flash the boot attachment and try again.
I jus flashed boot and system images from an old nandroid backup of the same ROM and it booted but data and apps are missing...
I tried what you hav said but thats not working.. So, i did the above steps.
I think that error means it can't read the last log written, its probably because your cache is full when you boot into recovery. Where is your dalvik cache?
I used to get the error all the time when I had a 5mb cache. Never caused a problem though.
Have you tried a different version of cement?????
Edit: cement???? Bloody predictive text at 7am!! I meant cwm.

my cache partion is of 40MB as i used CustomMTD and around 38.1MB is still free in that partition.

Nope...
I have the predictive cement problem too scratch!!! Lol
I've been having problems trying to flash radio for GPS fix,so I redid mtd to stock 250 40 then through rom manager 2.5.0.7 temp I flashed radio and rebooted let everything load/settle then changed mtd back to desired amount( 145 15 ) load/settle again then did nandroid backup. I now got newer radio back with working GPS and mtd.
My point here is try resetting mtd to stock then load it all up and then try nandroid. After which just redo mtd again and restore nandroid with new settings.
P.s you don't need to use the rom manager temp method as your only restoring a backup.

Greetings Folks!!!
Yesterday, I tried to install Xenon HD ROM on my GT - i9082, and it got into a boot loop. So then I tried to restore my CWM backup, but even that keeps failing because the phone reboots when the restore process comes to restoring the /data partition. I tried doing the "Wipe Data" option from CWM, but then at "Formatting /data", the phone reboots. Basically, if you do any formatting or restoring on /data, the phone reboots.
I am currently at 4.2.2 (XUBMJ4 Build). Some advice to get me out of this mess would be appreciated.
Happened with me too.
I don't really remember how I solved it though.

Are you backing up both system and system image and trying to restore both? Try backing up system image alone and restore (not system).

Yes. I have been backing up system and other partitions in the same zip. I will try your method and report when I need to restore again. Thanks
And there is update for TWRP...ver3.6.0_9-0

EFS may also give issues while restoring. So backup everything else you want except system and EFS and try restoring.
