I am curious, I currently have MetroPCS on a Samsung Admire and I am looking to flash my old Evo which is rooted and all already to work on MetroPCS. I have researched all about MetroDroid and how to do it but I randomly see people saying you have to bring it to a corporate store(MetroPCS) and have them activate the Evo? Is there anyway to swap the ESN from my current phone to my Evo, like clone it? Any info would be nice. I tried searching but keep finding the same results. TIA - Poke.

The "metroflash" is adding your esn to their database with Houdini software. It is not a flash like rom flashing. Alternatively, You could use a donor cell phone, which if you poke around here, you can find a topic or two.

Anymore info on this Houdini software and/or the metroflash? - poke.
Only authorized metro retailers or corporate metro stores have the houdini software account
Hello, im failry new to flashing phones to other carriers. The only thing i have is the slightest idea of rooting and that is with my old ZTE warp. I was looking into buying a Samsung Galaxy S3. I was wondering if i bought the "SPRINT SAMSUNG GALAXY S III 3 SPH-L710" could i flash it so i can use straight talk or boost mobile on it? If anyone could link me to a source, it'll be much appreciated.
I think it can be flashed to boost. I'll see if I can find the link.

Hello I have a Sprint Galaxy S3 that I had flashed to cricket. My father had an old utstarcom phone with a clean esn so I flashed that esn to my s3 and called cricket and added a line to the account my father has with his kyocera phone. I chose the 45 dollar plan for my self and got the phone working as for as talk text and mms. I can not get any kind of internet connection except wifi. I have tried to go to update prl and profile but I get error code 407 or something like that. I followed the guide from cricketusers but cant get any help there. Can any one please point me in the right area to get internet on my s3 or tell me what I need to do, I have DFS Demo and cdma Workshop full version and qpst. Thanks anyone.

You're on the wrong rate plan. You have to be on a $50 a month or higher Android/Smartphone rate plan to get the web to work on your flashed device. You also have to make sure that the phone "Model" on your account is set to Kyocera M6000 for the best experience. Also, I would be careful with swapping the ESN from a different phone to your S3, as that is illegal and you can be fined for doing that.
I am a flash tech with Cricket in my town and I have the same phone flashed. You can follow this tutorial here: http://www.cricketusers.com/cdma-sa...galaxy-s3-cricket-talk-text-mms-internet.html It's pretty simple if you follow the instructions carefully, but I would try to change your plan first then pull the battery and restart the phone and see if maybe it'll start working. If the programming is right and you have MMS, then you should just have to change plans, but I could be wrong there.
Samsung Galaxy S3 flashed to cricket all works but no internet

I got everything working with the $45 plan also got the esn updated to the phone itself. I have talk, text, web, mms everything, Found the answer on another site.
Thanks.
Glad you got it working. Just curious, what are your web speeds? If you're not on an Android rate plan you're only getting 1x speeds, which is why I noted you were on the wrong one.
