[Q]ICS or GB on Note 2? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
i want to play some games for Tegra devices but Chainfire 3d dont work on Jelly Bean.
Is there maybe a custom rom of ics or gingerbread for the note 2?
It really is a shame that the faster arm7 processor can not play the games of the weaker Tegra.
I hope someone can help me.

Its not that theyre not capable of running those games. Its just that they've been made to run exclusively on Tegra Devices or some of the features are enabled on Tegra powered devices, which with a bit of mod can be enabled on non tegra. And there are no ICS or lower versions for the Note 2. Perhaps you should write up an email to Chainfire to continue support for Chainfire3d

will defy suppot tegra2 games?

i want to ask about galaxy on fire of including tegra 2 game.gof2 will out in april and can we play gof2 on defy?
No idea. Don't care at all
without looking it up, i would just say "no", because the defy hasn't got the tegra-processor
Hey George ,
Even if the GOF2 Tegra version wouldn't work on the DEFY, the regular or the hd version of the same game will eventually work.
dude, tegra2 games only have support on tegra 2 phones, like moto atrix
this kind of phone with dual core processor
defy has a 800mhz processor, with an overclock maybe goes to 1.2ghz, half of the tegra 2
maybe you can hope for porting, but support, will never get, only phones with tegra 2 have support
sorry fow this new to you dude, buts the truth
You can play all tegra games on defy using chainfire 3d. They work like a charm.

[Games] What can the Galaxy Nexus play?

I'm thinking of getting a GNX but am unsure because of its mediocre specs. So what can you guys play on yours?
Will it run the latest titles at a playable speed?
thanks
Grand theft auto 3 runs like a boss.

asphalt 7 runs smoothly with overclocking kernel and aokp jellybean!
no need for overclock..
its smooth with stock kernel or trinity with the stock values
I dont like playing games on phone, so the only one i have is cut the rope exp hd, trinity kernel underclocked to 1gz and it runs without any lag
I play all the newest games with no issues or lag.
Sent from my AOSP Android 4.1.1 Galaxy Nexus.
Most of the games. I haven't found any that didn't work for me.

Final Fantasy VII
nova 3,shadowgun and dead trigger without problems,no lag at all with trinity kernel at max 1 ghz and gpu at 512mhz.i add that i have the supercharger, and one of the negative aspects of it (i red this on supercharger sript's 3ad) is the use of games..but i don't notice prob at all
I only have fruit ninja but it runs amazing
minecraft runs well on fancy graphics.

dead trigger is terribly slow with stock kernel...but with trinity it runs a lot better, there's some lagging in the beginning though
The galaxy nexus should be able to play any games out there besides the tegra 3 optimized ones of course lol. Emulators work great as well. Honestly, no apps use the superpower of the S3 yet so I'd still consider this high end.

Major Mayhem, Zombie Runaway Up, Critter Escape, Judge Dredd vs Zombies, Dead Trigger, Garfield's Diner, All Angry Birds are all FREE and Fun games. They all run perfect too.

GTA 3 and Vice city run much slower on 4.1.1 than on 4.0.4

Guys, can someone explain to me why GTA 3 and Vice City run so badly on Android 4.1.1? I just flashed Renovate on 4.0.4 and these games run so much more smoother and faster. It's just upsetting to see the newer version of OS perform so poor in comparison to the older version.
Anyone got any ideas why is that or how to fix it on Android 4.1.1?

Impossible, JB 4.1.1 is more smooth than ICS and in my HOX with JB games are more better!!

May be your rom is not stable ? Wait for the OTA update jelly bean is much smoother and faster due to project butter.
I play gta iv on highest graphics only on that i have a minor lag.

were you using a custom kernel before the JB update? that would certainly explain what you were seeing.

use the gaming boost app for JB ....it will help much because we don't have the kernel source now for custom kernels and yes...and also try tripndroid kernel which is from the OneX+ made compatible to one x....they say there the games will run much better and yes...try out use the gaming boost app for JB and yees...

Trips kernel is great for games. GPU runs at 520MHZ (416MHZ stock) and all cores reach 1500MHZ (1400 stock). Nova 3 and NFS Most wanted run smooth. One major has to be fixed...

dead trigger vs modern combat 4

So I was just wondering why dead trigger can run so well at such high graphics and such high resouktion textures, but modern combat 4 and other Gameloft games run with super low graphics and crappy textures but lag like hell. I know that dead trigger is optimized, but I really want a good reason for this, like does tegra 3 interpret Gameloft games badly? Is the GPU just really super weak? And why do older GPU like the gs2 Mali and the HTC sensation run this game better than our one x? this has been bugging me for so long, is the shader cores of our device not fit for gamloft games? Please answer, I will love you forever <3
The thing is that dead trigger is optimized for tegra 3 device since modern combat 4 no! You dont need more explanation, these is all!!

Oh OK, that answers part of it, but why do Gameloft games run better on older devices like galaxy s2 when our GPU is twice as fast and has 3times as many GPU cores?

Anyways at these moment the games wich i have from gameloft in my HOX they are working smooth! You can visit here in these forum some thread where you can improve gameloft games for our HOX!!

yeah like jarein said...gamelof don't care about tegra therefore it's always running so sh*tty ....no optimizing...instead of that only lower the graphics etc ...they are just porting from iOS the game and make avaiable for tegra phones WITHOUT optimizing...really bad -.-

HD Games will lag in ICS. Try GB roms, I recommend X-Gamer.:good:
If you still want ICS, try some custom Roms, there are many out there.
Bro, wrong section.
AW: HD gaming for arc s running ics
Truesmooth Rom or Jelly Dream Rom are good for gaming on ICS, but also take a look at the App swapper 2, it can fix input lag,
Real Boxing for Tegra Devices, isn't? I can't open with Chainfire 3D
