[Q] Rooted Xperia SL several questions now??? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I rooted my Xperia SL with eroot v1.2
But now can I get the upcoming Jellybean firmware. I don't know whether Sony PC companion accepts my phone or not now.
Please somebody help. If it voids the update then please somebody help me to unroot it.
Please remember my phone is Xperia SL not S.

do this to un-root it
Note any sort of garentee / Warrenty will be voided but it isnt voided unless the company you bought your Phone from knows.
NOTE Xperia s and SL are generaly the same.

My Xperia Arc seems unrootable?! Please help me!

Hello Everybody,
I may need your help!
I've got a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (Lt15i) with Android 2.3.4 on it. (Stock ROM)
When I got my Arc, I rootet it with the Doomloard tool... it worked without errors..
Then I had to send my mobilephone to the repair center because of a crack in the housing ... unfortunately they reset my Arc to stocksettings, like they ever did.
Then I tried to root it again, but it was not possible to root it one more time.
I installed flashtool 0.8.0.0 to flash the stockkernel once again, but rooting still doesn't work. While the rootingprocess there were errors like .. *failed to copy..* whatever..
When I watch the files on the intern phonestorage through Astro filemanager.. I'm able to see two folders which seem not to be removed through flashing or resetting to default settings etc. *root* and *sbin*
is it posssible that this two folders are the reasons why i can't root anymore?
If it's so, how can they be removed?
But may it be possible that I can only root the LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42 ROM and not the later versions like .62 or .69?
I'm not able to find a working LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42 Stock ROM in the internet.. all the ones I downloaded didn't work.. flashtool said flashing failed..
Could anyone post a link to me with a working .42 Stockkernel?
Or could anyone help me to root my mobile once again..
Nice greetings from Germany,
Eric
PS: I'm not very good on this area and my English is not the best, so it would be nice if you'll try to explain it very simple..
The .62 and .69 cant be rooted.
Uf you got unlocked bootloader just boot a gb kernel with flash and install root.zip (download it from superuser site)
There are many threads with roms on general thread, sticked.
Typed down from the sky with sexy LT15i
Thank you for your Answer! But I don't know wether by bootloader is locked or not... Could you post me a link with such a kernel?
I flashed .42 on my arc but the rooting didn't work.. :-(
What could be the problem?
If you don't know whether your bootloader is unlocked or not, I'm fairly certain that it's still locked. LOL!
The .42 fw is rootable with Gingerbreak v1.20. It's an .apk file. If that doesn't work, try v1.10.
So technically, Gingerbreak is all you need to root .42. You don't require an unlocked bootloader just for that.
Once you're rooted, you can upgrade to .62 OTA to still keep root.
(If you really want to unlock your bootloader, head over to Sony's website. Clear instructions are given there. You can do it for free but this voids your warranty. And keep your IMEI at hand. You'll need to enter it on the website).

root, unroot, back to stock ROM

Hello my friends,
I'm a brand new Xperia ZL buyer, I came from a SGSII and I have a few questions, I hope I can receive some help:
With SGSII I rooted the phone, installed a bunch of custom ROMS, firmwares, etc... and when I needed to turned back to the "original" stock ROM and firmware, and even reset the binary counter to take the phone to warranty and hide all signs of not allowed usage. I just needed to flash the stock kernel via ODIN to the phone and reset the binary counter with an app, Triangle away, found in the Play Store.
For unlocking the network I used GalaxSIM, and in few steps/seconds, I could use my phone with any mobile company.
How can accomplish all these with the Xperia ZL?
Is it safe to root and unroot? If I need to take the phone to warranty what's the procedure to cover all the manipulation?
Is there a similar mechanism as the Galaxy's binary counter on the Xperia ZL?
I'm sorry for my english, and thanks in advanced for the help.
anyone?

u can root using doomlord's method ..(Check orignal android dev) there is n unroot method though ..however if u repair via PCC/flash ftf via flashtool i guess root goes

there are a few tutorials ..search the thread :good:

press thanks if i helped you :good:
It's a lot easier on a Xperia device. As long as you don't unlock the bootloader nothing happens to your warranty. If you need to send it in for repair, you don't even need to unroot, I sent in two rooted devices (damages from dropping) and nobody cared, they just came back unrooted and fixed.
If you want to unroot, just install the sony pc companion software that comes with the phone, choose repair software and it will look like it's never been rooted.
Thank you man

[Q] Xperia z1 compact reboot

Please i need your help, i wanted to root my xperia z1 compact (Easy Root Tool for various Xperia devices) but when I finished all the steps (i got an error while wiping System) the phone didn’t start. and it keeps rebooting.
I don’t know what to do, please help me to solve this problem.
thanks a lot.
What fw version do you have? If keepsbrebooting you can use red button near Sim card to turn it off. By the way you dont need to wipe anything while rooting your phone flash stock fw 108 than use towelroot or newroot it takes 1 minute to root phone. If you have 157fw there are tutorials in z1c section excacly explaining how to root the latest firmware

[Unrooting] Need help UNROOTING Xperia Ultra T2

I rooted my Sony Xperia Ultra T2 D5303 Version 4.4.3 19.1.1.A.0.165 using Kingoroot and realised I couldn't access one of my apps, now when I tried to unroot it using the Android Application, it does not respond at all and if I tried to unroot it through the desktop application it always gives a "Unroot Failed" message whenever it reaches 100%. How do I unroot the phone fully?
Sorry, kinda of a newbie here. Tell me if you need more details.
Download supersume on playstore, it will change your root manager to supersu and just unroot from supersu if you want
Repair your phone by Sony companion.. Or flashtool..
Or reroot your phone with kingroot then unroot..
I was having same problem..
