broodROM Jellybean
Release 3
by outerh3aven

Info:
I decided to skip broodROM ICS since JB is working as good as ICS. First of all I want to tell that I won't be using stages such as ALPHA, BETA, RC, Final. I will call the version Release, followed by a number, this third release (Release 3) is now available for download.
I kept it simple so far, added some hooks into the Settings menu, added OC Kernel (compiled with christopher toolchain with o3 optimization), init.d management by broodParts, I made it so that the app applies the setting directly and adds it to init.d as well.

thankssssssss man

Thanks a lot for porting my ROM, hope the ancora users like it as much as the ariesve users ^^

Can someone compare the battery life to GB stock ROM?
Because I like this ROM, but I would also like good battery life.
Since those CM's do not offer that good battery life.
Good for me is 2 days without charging with modest ussage.

Downloading, it's look very nice ROM and very smooth
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium

Really smooth JB ROM, but no file manager installed?
And how I can modify power widget in status bar? There is no system setting like another ROM..

8. Walkman music player.
9. Chainfire's SuperSU instead of superuser (it's a bit snappier)
v2i's Added features:
Added ad2sdx script. You need to have ext3/ext4 format because of this reason. Apps are auto instelled on your sd-ext. No need of any 3rd party app and tweaking. Also added ext4 lagfix for smooth app handling
Added Tweak-ICS v3 script for performance and audio enhance.
Added Tenfold's battery life package.
...probably forgot what else got implemented :silly::cyclops:
Bugs:
Same as CM9-RC1 bugs. If you meet any other, please report.
If you face the "rom not booting" issue, then wait about 10 min's, then press lock button, and then press lock button again. Voila!
Download:
Mediafire - v2
Mediafire - v2i
Install method:
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Do a 3x Wipe
3. Choose install zip from SD card (not the update.zip)
4. Install
5. reboot and voila!! Welcome to Galaxy Xperia
P/S: 1st boot takes some time
At some moment, you might even think that it's stuck in a bootloop, wait for 10 mins. on bootanimation, the phone will vibrate and them start.
Please do 1-2 reboots after 1st boot.(somehow performance increase by a bit)
Important!
If you want to use the new GPS Fix for CM9-RC1, first delete the GPS-Fix app included in the rom!
For good performance, go to settings / performance, and set the following:
CPU: Min :126 Mhz ; Max :825 Mhz(or higher, depends on user) ; Governor: smartassV2, or interactiveX ; Tick set on boot.
Memory: Enable KSM and Allow purging of assets, maybe set zRam to 10%
Disable Surface dithering, and enable 16bit Transparency
To get GPS working at all, in location services go to GPS Source, and tick "Use internal GPS"
To get Xperia theme overall, go to Settings/Themes, and select Xperia theme. Ignore pop-up message.
Credits:
1. Maclaw and MacławStudio's guys for the awesome CM9.
2. aadroid.dev for giving permissions and help to port.
3. SMillerNL for GPSfix app.
4. jasonevil for Xperia Theme on CM9

Screenshots are from Ace thread, I just copied them here. But it would really be a smart idea.
A question about the keyboard - does it have lags? When i installed it ( from themes and apps in general android thread) it worked flawlessly, but the lags killed me and i returned to swiftkey.
Concerning the rom: great work! And i would definitely flash it, if I hadn't done all that themeing stuff by myself

Well I haven't experienced any problems with it while tthe tests. Don't know if there is a greater difference between this and your version
I got the permission from aandroid.dev to modify the rom, so we're coming up with some new features :
- Apps2Sd directly installed - ext3/ext4 partition will be necessary!
- Tweak-ICS package implemented, improvment in performance, sound quality
- Battery life package implemented for longer battery time.
Uploading in the evening!

The problem was that the keyboard slowed down while typing as if there was a lack of ram. Though there were no problems with starting/poping up/changing languages etc.
If you don't have any lags just dismiss these posts. Enjoy the rom( and the keyboard )
Good luck with downloads and "thanks"
Will the keyboard work on gingerbread or its only for ics?

Thanks for the feedback. I think you need to remove the original superuser app from system/app, then reboot, and download from play store. Strange, I didn't have this problem, I could update from Play store.

Well I think it goes quite good if you consider that it's based on CM9. 1 day with medium usage ( minimal game, 2-3hours of music, ~30min's of phone call) for me, but pay attention after using camera, it sets governor back for ondemand.

Is this really smoother than the flinny's AOSP or Fyodor's one?
@masterleron: Could you please upload your ROM and GApps zips to d-h.st ? The servers are good there, provides a decent speed universally.

I believe so. This rom has bloat removed and added tweaks for speed and lag removal. This has more free RAM than Flinny's and Fryodoor's. (See screens). Also an init.d tweak to zipalign all apps on boot. (Faster apps)

Just wondering, does the Camera and Camcorder function correctly?
Btw I commend you for being only 13 years old with great grammar and you also know how to dev roms! Good job even though I haven't yet tested out any of your work.

[Kernel] [CM10 final] honeyx 7up 3.0.x kernel [Silky Smooth & Battery] 03.09.2013

ZOHAN makes your hair...emmm Kernel silky smooth .
Well, since it became popular to add something like " for better battery life" I´m renaming my Kernel into Silky Smooth now
There are 2 versions now. First one is the pure kernel and the secound one with Turbo Boost included. (Credits are going to delta-roh)
Orginal thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37905307
SGW discussion thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400120
Created with stability and battery life in mind. Each modification was tested separately, so everytime I added a tweak or a new feature, I tested the new kernel for a couple of days before adding the next one.
So what it has included:
- UV and OC options
- lowered WiFi voltage
- lowered LCD voltage
- slightly lowered standby / deepsleep voltage
- Battery life eXtender
- Fixed 100% battery notification after charger unplug
- 377MB RAM
- ROW scheduler as default scheduler
- Lulzactive Governor as default governor
- tweaked Lulzactive for battery life and smoothness
- added new frequency - 518MHz
- added new frequency - 633MHz
- added new frequency - 902MHz
- Screen Off frequency set to 518 MHz max. in Lulcactive Governor
- Dynamic Read-Ahead
- Dynamic Dirty Page Writeback
- CK3 tweaks (Credits to Con Kolivas) - adapted by Christopher, hurtsky and me
- LowMemoryKiller management of not killable processes - credits to christopher
- with and without Turbo Boost Mod
- no other compilation tweaks just to make the list longer
The max. Screen Off frequency is the maximum frequency your device can clock to while the screen is turned off. It´s a kind of limitation to lower the consumption.
other suggestions:
- enable KSM
- enable 16bit transparency
- greenify your apps
If you follow these suggestions, your ROM should run absolutely smooth without the need for other tweaks.
To use Battery Life eXtender:
Use RootExplorer and go to: '/sys/class/misc/batterylifeextender'. Change the value in 'charging_limit' for example to 90 (default 100). This will set a limit for the capacity to which the battery will be charged. So in this example the battery will be charged to 90%.
----------------------------------------------------
After flashing the kernel whipe your cache and dalvik cache and fix permissions.
Credits are going to:
- Arco (for his great work and sources)
- educk (for helping me doing the first steps)
- Christopher83 (for his great commits and tweaks)
- ivendor (for his tweaks)
- Ezekeel (for Battery Life eXtender)
- hurtsky (for exchanging experiences)
- and all the other I forgot to mention
-------------------------------- 03.09.2013 ----------------------------------
- updated to 3.0.93
- added frequencies
- added: LowMemoryKiller management of not killable processes
- added: Turbo Boost

This kernel is a port of the CM9 honeyx 7up kernel. It´s build with Arcos 3.0.83 sources for CM10. There are two versions aviable. The minimalistic and one with all the tweaks listed below. The minimalistic is more close to Arcos kernel. It includes OC/UV options, all the tweaks for battery life, 374MB RAM, the new 518MHz frequency, BLX and Lulzactive governor as default governor with 518MHz screen off frequency. The other one has all the other tweaks included.
Created with stability and battery life in mind. Each modification was tested separately, so everytime I added a tweak or a new feature, I tested the new kernel for a couple of days before adding the next one. This is not the case with this kernel, but these tweaks were already tested in the CM9 kernel.
You will notice my kernels do not offer as much tweaks like other kernels because these are cherry picked to not to affect battery life and stability.
So what it has included:
- added Governors
- UV and OC options
- lowered WiFi voltage
- lowered LCD voltage
- slightly lowered standby / deepsleep voltage
- Battery life eXtender
- Fixed 100% battery notification after charger unplug
- 378MB RAM
- ROW scheduler as default scheduler
- Lulzactive Governor as default governor
- tweaked Lulzactive for battery life and smoothness
- added new frequency - 518MHz
- Screen Off frequency set to 518 MHz max. in Lulcactive Governor
- Dynamic Read-Ahead
- Dynamic Dirty Page Writeback
- Incrased Audio Volume
- new Low Memory Killer for better memory management
- no other compilation tweaks just to make the list longer
I didn´t test this kernel as I´m still using CM9, but made sure the tweaks are ported correctly to this kernel.
The max. Screen Off frequency is the maximum frequency your device can clock to while the screen is turned off. It´s a kind of limitation to lower the consumption.
other suggestions:
- enable KSM
- enable 16bit Dithering
- disable CPU rendering
- greenify your apps
If you follow these suggestions, your ROM should run absolutely smooth without the need for other tweaks.
To use Battery Life eXtender:
Use RootExplorer and go to: '/sys/class/misc/batterylifeextender'. Change the value in 'charging_limit' for example to 90 (default 100). This will set a limit for the capacity to which the battery will be charged. So in this example the battery will be charged to 90%.

Good Idea. Madridis kernel has also a modified Ramdisk included if I remember correctly, so this could be the reason.
See first if it works with Arcos stock Kernel and then you can try the minimalistic first.

Well, I flashed CM10 yesterday to check this. Made a pristine installation by whiping and formating everything and used the phone for a while with Arcos stock kernel. Unfortunally the rom didn´t work as good for me as expected. Sometimes the camera stopped working after the phone lasted for a while in deepsleep, so I had to reboot the phone to get it working again. I´ve spend some time outdoors and made some pics of my wife, but when watching the pics in the gallery some of them were displayed to be black. However in the the file explorer they were displayed correctly, but not in the gallery. When I scrolled further the gallery often also simply closed for no reason. Even whiped the thumbnails and all the data for gallery and mediaserver, but this didn´t help either.
I´m not telling you this to tell you this rom is buggy because I know my device is very anal about roms and kernels, just to show you why one and the same thing might work for one but not for the other. I´m pretty sure CM10 is working perfectly for many others but this seems not to be the case with my device.
So well after comming back home I flashed my custom kernel to it and all went well. Just after testing this I decided to revert back to CM9 for the obvious reasons.
Don´t know why, but my phone obviously loves CM9 so I will stick with it.
But the point is. As long CM10 is working well with Arcos stock Kernel for you, there should be also no problems by flashing my kernel over it.

[17/09/2014] [ME301T] [ROM] [Unofficial] Beanstalk 4.4.4050

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk ROM builds. This is a build derived from CM with a ton of useful features added. You get speed, ultra customization ability and later, stability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with the BeanStalk. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to @skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
The BeanStalk is always evolving, new features coming in, bugs being ironed out. It's happening right here folks.

Edit: I found two little bugs: 1) when trying to record a video, stock cam search always for autofocus, while recording, and 2) maybe there is a codec problem for .avi video play, cause it's not possible to reproduce them..fixed installing mx player from Google Play, ATM, but obviously other video players, including the one which comes with the ROM, don't reproduce this format..All the other stuff is working superbly..

Yes, and to make sure it was not a bug during the installation, I reinstalled with full data/dalvik/system wipe... Everything seems to work great, without the wifi...

EDIT: HOLYS***T! I didn't saw that this ROM is for the Memo Pad! :/ I flashed this on my TF300T... It works very well, freaking smooth, but no wifi! Sorry for my bad reading... But for the dev, now you (and we) know that it seems pretty easy to port this ROM for the TF300T!

I will maybe build for the TF300T too if I get the time to

@ectoplasma22 Hey mate, I need to report some bugs from an user which gave me some feedback on an Italian forum, where I made a link to your thread: he said that he tried to convert some apps in system-apps even using Titanium backup, without luck; tried installing apex launcher from play store having no success, then tried via ADB, and nothing too.. Finally, he tried to remove trebuchet from system apps, and he softbricked the tab, by making this..but I think that this last thing is not so important, if you leave trebuchet at its place XD He didn't give me any logcat, btw..
