If you are using triangle away to reset your flash counter it will automatically go to 1 as the application states that some phones stay that way. Id rather have a flash count of 1 instead of 200+ like I did on my e4gt

Yes you are correct but that's only if you are using a custom recovery or custom kernal. Ive tried flashing back to stock recovery and its not working threrfore it will continue to go back to 1. So it there any other way ??

Im thinking that im gonna have to do the stock tar through odin and factory reset.

As soon as you put a custom recovery or kernel on it'll go right back to 1 even if you don't use odin to do it. It checks the recovery and boot partitions for the Samsung signatures as well as increasing from using odin to flash.

No offense but you didn't read enough before flashing. First link was for the global device and NOT the E4GT.
Try going into download mode (vol. down and power) and see if your PC recognizes it. If by some miracle it does, download the FF18/FH13 rooted one click and flash. If not and without a microSD card you will need to either get one to flash or JTAG the phone.

You're right I didn't read it enough time. I use glasses so I wasn't using and did it to quick.
Look in the E4GT Android Development Forum for a thread starting with [ODIN][TAR] and then indicating FF18 or FH13. FF18 thread was started by sfhub, FH13 by rwilco12.
Sorry to not include links but haven't figured how to have it show a thread URL so that I can copy it yet.

I guess you can grab a factory image, Odin it back to stock and try it like that first, if it works then you can try to root it and see if it works, you know, small steps like that.
And keep us posted with your progress.

Thanks. I will.
And factory reset on a custum rom? Never tried it. I just reflash roms. Or flash updates ect.
I am going to TRY and get this running in a rom with root.
If I achive that, I will again TRY and make a cwm flashable of said rom with isis in it then test that flash to see if the isis is actavatable.
Perhaps running it on stock. Then pulling the app data and rhen placing that in another rooted rom.
[Givin that it dosent pair the app to the secure element which I assume are idivodual at any point in said process]

Twrp was the first recovery on the note2 to get going... And hence has a bit of a following... Personally, as a user and development I find myself swearing at twrp on the Note2 far more than I ever did on any of my other devices.
Ofc, twrp port for Note2 is far younger than it is for those other devices.

Define correctly.
Twrp's wipes on the Note2 tend not to be complete, necessitating repeated wipes... Twrp likes to hang with Aroma scripts, and sometimes just flat out crash. I don't want to make it sound like their recovery isn't any good, just that it has lots of issues and has a long way to go.

Yeah I checked but this device is weird as you know and I wanted a bit of assistance not wise ass remarks. I'm new on this part of xda and with a flashed phone I know some roms don't work correctly. That's why I asked not to be lazy. Check my stats I do a lot of support for the one xl. And one thing I wouldn't do was post a link to a totally different device, someone with less common sense could brick with wrong info.

My bad, I read that as G2, I apologize. I was confused as to why this was posted here. If you want a ROM that works correctly go with TouchWiz. AOSP ROMs are pretty buggy on this device, especially KitKat.
What do I need to do to go from stock rooted this is a confusing device and I also still have stock recovery

Get Mobile Odin, flash this kernel (.tar format)-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244781 in Mobile Odin and that will give you a custom recovery
Would u recommend wiping dalvik and cache? Or is it safe to just reboot into the stock rom?

If all you flash it the kernel, its safe to reboot without wiping anything. However, I would follow any and all directions given by the OP of any ROM or kernel you flash to the letter. Otherwise, you're asking for issues. This is a confusing device, and there are so many little nuances that need to be done just right to avoid problems.
If you take nothing else away from this post, remember this website www.rwilco12.com, it will save your device if you run into issues or just need anything for the device. Every ROM, kernel and modem leaked and/or released for this device by Samsung is on there and will return you to stock in a heartbeat.:good:

The short answer is no. It will wipe everything except your external SD and you'll be temporarily unrooted but it's easy to root again.

Not to go off on a rant (and I don't want to sound mean in any way ) but what is so freaking important on people's phones, yet hasn't been saved to an SD card or pc or cloud storage? I've just been seeing a lot of posts lately about upgrading without losing data.
And no offense to to you Polska, but if that upgrade don't work out so well then you may have just lost everything anyway. And if you have backed up then I apologize. And if there's a valid reason that you can't lose root or backup data before upgrading then I apologize again. Just please remember there's a big difference between "easy" and "safe"....

Lol. I know what you mean. But my belief (IMHO) is that my flashes go so smooth and my phone runs so well because I always do full wipes when flashing. I compare it to doing a format and fresh install of Windows on my pc. The extra time in backing up and slowly re~adding what I need back means (to me) that I always have the least amount of "crud" as possible on my phone...
