Anyone know where these can be purchased? I have a t-mobile One and it didn't come with headphones, thanks for any info.

Yeah I looked there but those don't appear to be the same as the release at with the red Earbuds.

I don't think you can buy the stock ones with red tips unless someone sells them to you. I do plan on buying these anyway since they have volume control whilst the stock ones with the red tips don't. Hopefully, these sound at least as good as the stock headset.

Volume control won't work. Apparently Apple has a lock down on that technology, so regardless of what headset you buy, you won't be able to use the in-line volume rocker. Only the center button to play and pause music and answer/end calls. I asked this question to a Product Specialist at HTC and that was the explanation I got.

Edit: The above headset does indeed control volume on the HTC One
According to reviews from http://www.htc.com/www/accessories/htc-stereo-headphones/#ratings

I agree. There's not much in the mobile world that they haven't tried to scoop up in patents. It's literally one of the most miniscule things, and God Forbid anyone makes it happen.

What I mean is that apple doesnot have that kind of patent. there is 2 different implementations of the function. apple uses another and.everyone else the other. It's called AHJ or something. That's why most of these control headphones don't work because they use the version that Apple uses

They aren't overpriced, Beats are overpriced and subpar. The Klipsch are superb quality and sound, but works with Spotify, Stock Music player and few others.

Hmmm definitely need clarification. Reason being, none of my one button headsets can change tracks with a double press. Even with headset button controllers, if I use the stock app I can't do it. Works fine with Player Pro, Poweramp and GoneMad. Hmm the S4a ii's are good, but at that price I'd probably go for some A161P's or maybe stretch a bit and just go out and get the Klispch X10i's. Now the X10i's are awesome!

Kilpsch Image S4a

For those who've been looking for a pair of great of IEMs with android compatable inline controls, the S4a's are out. Happened to come across them at Futureshop today so it was a pleasant surprise, although I'm still iffy about the 120CAD I put towards them. Once they have about 100+ hours of burn in I'll decide if I'll keep 'em for a few reasons.
The box includes the usual multiple sized tips and the earbuds themselves, but they also come with a clip to use to attach the mic/control onto clothing and a nice sized carrying case.
According to Kilpsch themselves, they have incredible functionality with their customized app, which I'll be looking into it over the next few weeks.

Sure.
Just from toying around with them thus far I've come across a couple things that irritate me personally to do with the controls, but I might be able to find workarounds for these little hassles.

I got them from Futureshop up here in Canada for 120CAD.
Quick first impression:
I expected that you could only customize the three functions (single, double, and triple click) and speed of clicking. That's certainly the case. Their volume control is non-customizable and very finicky, and the speed to control the button timing isn't all too great either. Otherwise it does what it says it does, just not every function at once of course.
I won't go into their sound as there are hundreds of reviews of the S4's sound online, and the only difference with these to the usual S4 is the addition of a button.
the app works for me too no problems
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Old thread by now, but I'm thinking of picking these up for my S2.
I'm sure the sound and stuff is great from the sound of other online reviews, but what I'm worried about is the durability of the cord.
How has your cords been?
And if you could, give a little description of how you've been using them.
Thanks

Dre beats

HTC phones have Dre beats integration in their phones. Is there a Port to get that on epic 4g touch
Epic
Nope, since the Beats speakers are built into the Rezound.

Is it really that much better? no matter what they do to it, it is still just a phone with a MP3 player built into it. Tiny speakers with sound software to help amplify lousy MP3 songs can't make things that much better?
Download volume+ from the market and set it to beats emulation. Sounds pretty good.

Power amp from the market is the best I found so far. Tried MANY. Comparable to voodoo sound for sure. But I agree, the headphones make a HUGE difference in quality.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
I came from the evo 3d which had beats ported over to it. Beats is a simple 7 band eq setting pretty much. You can find the settings if you google it. On HTC beats is only available on the stock music app, it doesnt effect pandora or any other music app. If you adjust you eq you will get a very similar effect because our phones have a 7 band eq in the music app.
I just wish it was compatible with our phones so I can talk with em instead of using two different headphones lol

I concur with your Power Amp app statement. Best music player/sound quality i have heard on anything thus far. Not only is it nice on the eyes but you xan boost the volume twice as high as ET4G's can or almost any other music player app. Its worth paying the extra couple bucks dor the full version to support the developer's hard work!

I wish people would realize that this is the same company that created the sham Monster Cable product. They make things that look like they are awesome but they really suck in comparison with similarly priced products. Im surprised Apple hasn't bought them yet.
Just another case of a celeb using their name to promote a ****ty product. Case in point, any commercial on television at this point.

I've used them on my iPod classic, my EVO, and now on my Epic 4G Touch, and they are still awesome, especially when used in conjunction with the PowerAmp player.
if they integrate my google music account id use power amp again too. But I just use it in my car the most anyway so the eq isn't that much of a necessity for me as streaming all my ****... is. Ics music client for me

Its terrible. I hate my S-10 HD's. They sound terrible with terrible bass and they are very uncomfortable. The S-9 HD's were much much better imo. The sound quality was better and it was slightly more comfortable. They both take a lot of getting used to. Idk why Motorola would make a product that is worse than the one before it.
Are the freedom jaybird headphones good? I think I will buy that next time. Motorola is falling off man. I hope Google helps them see the light.

They work just fine with the Nexus. The main reason I picked these up was the sweat-proof guaranty. I read some reviews for other headsets saying that they would crap out after a couple of uses while doing any type of exercise. The two issue I see with these is the left ear sounds a little louder than the right, the other is that when the battery is low, you get a warning every 30 seconds. The warning doesn't come untill the battery is really about to die.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
My opinion is to purchase this:
Jabra Clipper
I purchased a couple of bluetooth headsets but they never really compared to the options you get with regular headsets. This options, you don't have to choose. I use it while running/working out and provide a great compromise.
If you're a runner or sweat heavily then I would recommend against any bluetooth headphones that go into your ear. I have had 3 S9's go out on me and I heard the issue is not fixed in the S10's either. I had looked for other options but most of what I read lead down the same road. If you sweat a lot then these BT headphones will short out.
The best option for me was either the jabra clipper or the sony ericcson mw600. I went with the Mw600 which allows me to use my own headphones and obviously even if i sweat on those it won't short out the bluetooth device since it's no where near my ears.

You can also buy the htc 240 set which is similar but they have the track skip, volume change buttons also. These and the urbeats are the only ones that can do this from a wired pair with this phone as far as my research has led me to believe.

That of course is a possibility. I got mine in Taiwan at the HTC store and the ones that came in the box are unbranded beats. They sound excellent, not as good as my Bose but very good for being included for free.
I have Klipsch head phones and I compared them to the head phones that came with the One. The klipsch have much clearer crisper sound and comparable bass. Just my .02. But the klipsch were not free with the purchase of a phone. I did not find the stock headphones to have good sound.

Bluetooth ones will more than likely have all controls (volume and answer buttons) working. I strongly recommend the Apple Earpods though if you care about the microphone. I have tried many highly praised wired/BT headsets and none of them have usable mics on the N5.

Currently using these Bluetooth 4.0 Headphones with volume adjust buttons, mic, and a power button. Relatively simple. One piece of wire that connects the two pair of headphones and a small battery in the two earbuds that can play about 4-5 hours of music streaming over Bluetooth. I usually work out with these, so I had to get a pair of Bluetooth headphones that are light! So I can testify to their quality! Sound is solid as well, the sound is fairly close to my Klipsch S4 (II) earbuds. Headphones? Meh, I never buy bluetooth for those haha.

These headphones are better sound quality and cheaper. They also come with 3 button controls. This is a way better buy then spending on 60 monsters. I'm an audiophile and use this for the gym and to beat up. My regular studio headphones are vmoda m100s if that helps you identify my music quality.

Yeah man I was surprised by them when I got them. I found them on eBay and I tuned them in viper4android and I was blown away. Really good headphones for beaters.

Yeah, I'm not an "audiophile" (I really, REALLY hate that word) but I am an audio enthusiast (been in the audio industry for 15+ years), and I gotta recommend staying away from anything Monster or Beats branded. You are paying 10% for the headphone, 90% for the brand, and they generally sound like crap.
You want good buds for a good price, go with Yuin. IEMs- Shure or Westone. Cans- Sony, Beyerdynamic, higher end Sennheiser (their low end is crap), Grado, some AKG, HiFiMan, certain V-Modas. Portable supra aurals- Ultrasone has some good ones and the Koss Porta Pro's are pretty much unparalleled for their price and I'm pretty sure that they have ones with mics and controls now.
Bottom line, if they are mainstream and all your friends say to buy them, don't. The best values can be found in brands that don't spend millions on advertising.
