Samsung Galaxy S4 S-Voice APK - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Downloaded from sammobile as a 24mb APK and when I tried to install, it said application not installed.
However, when I was still odexed, I pushed it to system/app and changed permissions using ROM Toolbox Pro, restarted, opened the app and everything worked okay for a bit, then my phone started geeking.
I still have yet to do the above steps now that I'm deodexed. I was wondering if anyone else on here has gotten it to work?

would be a nice feature to have on our devices !
Would like to know as well and keep a close eye on this thread !

I'm running the Embryo rom by mohan_kr and I have the s4 S-Voice app installed but every time I go to use it, it's says "no Internet connection" so I don't know.

Has anyone lost root access (temporarily) after installing latest 2.2 roms?

I installed a rom that was based off the released 2.2 that was released on Friday. I had root already and everything worked fine no problem. I flashed the latest radios and wimax and really nothing else. Well today I went to use Titanium Backup and it wouldn't run; just got a black screen. got the FC message. I then tried to use QuickBoot to reboot and that also didn't do anything. I manually powered off and rebooted and still the same actions from both apps. I then tried Wifi tether and that wouldn't start the sharing. Said that it was unable to Start. I think at that point my root access wasn't working properly. I looked at the Superuser permission app and it looked ok. I then tried another app that required root called Ad-Block and it said that it couldn't get root access.
The only way to get the apps working again was to flash the same rom I flashed on Friday. All apps are working fine after the re-flash.
Anyone else have this?

That is possible. I had the same issues. To get the ad-free host files in, I had to do it in recovery mode and push the files which is like having the nand lock. I try to do some programs that require root and it reboots the phone.

[Q] Superuser forceclose

i have been using cyanogen mod 7 [most recent], its been great, no complaints. all of a sudden my superuser app stopped working, i use titanium back up frequently and cant get into it because superuser isn't working. any ideas or has this happened to anyone else?
its known, my fix for me was uninstall update in market then do the update again, and all will work
i dont think i ever did an update from the market i just used the one that came with rooting my device, i went to the market and saw it said "update" i did and was unsuccessful "package file was not signed correctly".
so check this out, idk wat happened, but now its working, i went into manage apps and cleared data for su, tried this app from market called su update fixer but it said my signatures failed so i figure doesnt work uninstall fast, su update wouldnt let me update from market either, i went into titanium and successfully got granted su rights, incredible! thanks for the help. hope it stays working now
If it stops again try going into rom manager and fix permissions, that's what did the job for me

[Q] Sprint TV update hanging

Hi everyone, I have my E4GT running on Calkulin's E4GT v2.9.1 EL29 ROM. I use Sprint TV quite a bit. Today I opened it and when I clicked on content it starts playing and then comes up with a notification that a newer version is available and to either close or download now. When I click download now it just sits there. I read somewhere on the forums here that the sprint installer needs to be installed for updates to work. I went into Calklin's removed apps folder on the sd card and installed the sprint installer apk. I just clicked it and installed normally...not sure if I had to do anything special here with permissions etc. Now when I go back to Sprint TV and click download now it will download, but the update will fail.
Any advice/suggestions on resolving this?
Thanks.
Just like I posted the thread few minutes ago, it works fine on FC22. I've experienced the same thing (like you mentioned) from previous version but it works like a charm on FC22. I can't say which version it's going to work or not. But at least it started working on FC22. Few days ago, it didn't work on FC22 either. It seems like Sprint changed App.

If you are not able to update, try the apk file attached in above thread.
Thanks for posting your new apk. That worked for me. I think in my case since I'm using a custom rom I was not able to download the update. I'm working now and happy.

Trouble Re Rooting Device

Hello,
So as the forum discussion I have the AT&T S3 I747 - Initially I rooted the phone to be able to use it at as a wireless hotspot and everything worked great the method i used was galaxys3root .com (I cant post the actual link <10 posts)
What I thought was a notification OTA triggered me to opening superuser and doing an uninstall/permanent unroot to ensure i didn't brick my phone, well I was wrong about the notification feeling like an idiot i decided to go ahead a reroot the phone again.
I followed the same procedure as linked above this time with problems, I have no Superuser Icon in apps tray, under applications manager it appears but only gives me the option to "Uninstall Updates" and that all
Things I have tried
- installing both versions onto the phone Clockwork mod simply just sits there under "Installing Superuser" Chain version installs but appears to do nothing.
- Used odin to reflash the stock rom then tried the re root process again
- reinstalled the wifi app to see if working but no longer is
I am not looking for a custom rom I like the default one I have I just want the Superuser app to show up again, anyone know what I could do to fix this?
Thanks for all your help

Same here. Have spent hours and hours trying to get this to work. I am stuck where it says "Host Manager has Stopped". Also super annoying since whenever you get to that point you basically have to restart your phone.
There's lots of threads on the topic, but some are about the Gear 1 or Gear 2, and then they are all about kit kat. We here have some of the latest and greatest with the M8 Lollipop GPE and the Gear S, terrible that we can't get them to work at all.

Just disable Bluetooth to stop the host manager has stopped loop, you won't have to restart your phone.
Still Looking for a fix as well.
Oh, nice. Solid find. Will keep at it later tonight. It definitely seems to me that we need the newest version of Samsung Gear in order for it to not FC on lollipop.

My Test Scenarios:
HTC One M8 Harmon Kardon on Stock 5.0.1 Rooted Lollipop
How it Works:
1. Download Gear Manager Latest Version and GearManagerStub.apk
2. Download the APK Files
3. Move these files to your phone.
4. 1st install GearManagerstb.apk into SYSTEM/APP folder, then Gear Manager and all remaining apks install like normal.
5. Open Gear Manager on your phone and connect, it should start to download updated apks you can install all APK's Except HOSTMANAGER and GEARPLUGIN make sure you cancel those two APK's or else you will End up with Hostmanager force close and GearPlugin force close.... if you end up with GearPlugin Force close just install the 2.2.15011799 version. It should complete the installation after that.
What versions I'm currently using.
Gear Manager 1.0.02 - Make Sure this is installed in System/App
Samsung Gear 2.2.15011799
Gear Plugin 2.2.15011799
GearModule 2.2.14102499
Goproviders 2.0.337
HostManager 2.2.14100299
Samsung Accessory Service 2.15.96
SASystemProviders 2.3.26
svoiceprovider 1.0.3
Update Gear software 2.141021.2191
