Hi!
If I have an older AC adapter (for digital camera) with 5volt and 2A output. If I change the connector of the cable to micro USB, can I charge my phone with 2A? It will be Faster than 1A factory charger? It can be problem for the phone?
thanks.

Wouldn't matter if you have a 1000 A charger. You are limited by the connection type anyway. USB = 500mA and AC = 1000mA and is controlled by the charging board on your phone.
Beamed from my CM10.1 Galaxy Nexus
thank you very much your help!
I just recently picked up an OTG Y cable off Amazon for a couple bucks, however it's practically useless as it charges the phone at a rate slower than even a regular USB charge. Perhaps this is just the nature of charging while using host mode, but could anyone clarify.
If this isn't just the nature of charging while using host mode, can anyone suggest a good quality OTG Y cable?
Just wondering if you have a kernel supporting fast charge with OTG. The cheap OTG Y cable ( http://www.amazon.com/Micro-Cable-Power-Galaxy-Samsung/dp/B00CXAC1ZW/ref=pd_cp_pc_0) I'd purchased for my N4 does do fast charge with N5 and ElementalX.
Not sure if this has been ask yet but I just got a wireless charger so I could charge my nexus 7 while using a flash drive or a mouse connected to it. The problem i have is the wireless charging works great till i plug in a usb device then it does not charge anymore. I believe this is because the charging port is in use. Is there a fix or a setting that can let it charge?
Thank you
I have an issue charging my phone via a 2 amp 12volt usb outlet. I have tried various micro usb leads which will charge the phone without issue from my computer but with no luck from the 12 volt adapter.
The 12 volt outlet works fine for charging other phones with the same leads, am I overlooking a setting or something?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Shane.
Hello,
As explained in title, I am looking for a 3-4 usb hub that supports otg and can charge the Nexus 7 at the same time at full voltage, without drain.
Any ideas? thanks

Yes http://www.ebay.com/itm/201372917160
but I'd prefer http://www.ebay.com/itm/191859127277
You will also need a kernel
What are you trying to accomplish

Otg splitter and hub is so you can power your tablet and any devices that are connected to the hub .. Ex. Joycon , video grabber , dac ...ect
Timurs kernel is the most reliable but you have to donate to get it ... Elemental is free but sometimes has issues with otg/charge bugs upon wake
You need the ability to enable Fast Charging for the kernel.
Simple USB-OTG won't get you full charge speed.
I know Timur's kernel for 2012 model has a Fast Charge option that is probably also available on the 2013.
And ElementalX kernel *might* be getting that option soon too, if not already.
