Really smooth ROM? - HTC Wildfire S

I've tried a lot of roms, almost all of them claimed that it's a smooth rom, but most of the times it wasn't smooth at all.
So I'd like to use a really smooth rom. It doesn't have to be based on Android 4.2.2, I'm happy with ICS or even GB if it's really going to be smooth. I almost never use my phone, but when I do, I'd like it to be fast.

Latest Jelly King. It's smooth and quick as hell.

If you like smooth roms without bugs, you can try the latest cm7 by crossfire77. If you want the latest cm10.1 features, you could try the cm10.1 by JDevs both roms are nearly bugfree and smooth

What Rom should I use? (Please read its not what you thing)

IDK what ROM to use?
Cy mod 7- it has a sucky camera and it feels unstable at times
Stock ROM- it can't display all emails and is slow at times
Incredible 2 HD/3D- it is laggy and isn't smooth. I just don't like it in general.
MIUI- I DIDN'T BUY A DROID TO MAKE IT FEEL LIKE AN IPHONE!!!!!!
I really like the stock Rom but why can't I read messages sent from my dear old aunt!!!! And stock has an amazing camera. Cy mod is almost perfect but I like sense and the camera sucks. Anything made be newroot is amazing but very laggy and too much animation. It always feels artificial. MIUI is an ios for android Rom. But if I wanted ios I would have bought an iPhone.
Can anyone help me decide?

Well, if you like cm7, but want a better camera, try the MIUI camera on cm7
Or liquid smooth 3.2, it's aosp with no problems for me, not sure bout the camera but like he said I hear good things bout the miui one, the one in liquid works good for me can't tell a difference between it and sense. If u do choose liquid and want to undervolt u will have to use aeros .7 bfs test build as the stock kernel let's u overclock with the built in application but not undervolt, and if you flash any other kernel other than the one I mentioned it will break sound

i'm either sounding like a broken record, or a fanboy, but SkyRaider Zeus has your request in spades. i share some of your points and tried a few ROMS out, about a week at a time before switching, currently settling on SRZ at the moment. the more i use it, the more hesitant i am to bother trying anything else. i can't find anything to complain about. perhaps in time my opinion will change, but it's doubtful. this ROM continues to amaze. it feels stock Sense, but has all the extras i have been looking for/using in the Market.
/fanboy
Miui is nothing like the iPhone. Have you tried it? Give it a week and sop hating lol. And how is cm 7 not stable.
PS miui with go launcher is the bomb.

I'm running Andybonestock.
Same dilemma here. Aerovan' s cm7 kang with his. 8 kernel is a beast , but the camera (especially indoor, low light) is subpar. Hd 2 is not quite as speedy but it has a great camera and very polished interface (although I hate the 3.5 dialer).
Really can't make up my mind.

The thing that everyone likes about MIUI the most is the ability to customize every little detail of your theme on the fly. The stock theme does look similar to iphone but it does not run like an iphone.
Try it out with different themes that people made and you'll see exactly why a lot of people like to run it.
Why don't you try a newer rom of newt's? Which version are you running on his Inc 2 HD/3D. You could always try mikrunny and if you don't like the animations, turn them off. Turn off the 3d features, it runs better that way anyway.

you really think that CM7 int stable?
Dude... its the best android experince ive ever had. aside from one time when the screen did not wake, its been solid up time for me for the first week running it... more than i can say about my x2.
fwiw, i tried core but did not like it. way too much graphical wizbang... it was slow compared to cm7
What issue did you have with cm7? I just built my own for my phone and didn't have any issues. I do use aeroevan's .7 kernal instead of stock cm7, but i've never had any issues.
I've run miui for the past 6 months with no issues, but i do use aeroevan's .7 bfs kernal. For Sense, I would run Virtuous or Zeus. I recommend using a different recovery too. I really recommend 4ext recovery. It blows cwm out of the water. 4ext has a beta touch recovery that works really well.
Sense: ZEUSSS!!!!
If you're feeling a little daring, ICS.
I have try everything but for some reason I keep finding myself back in miui there just nothing like it every sense rom looks the same to me no matter who made it miui has a million themes but if I was gonna run sense Mik runny is awesome

TSM Pool Party. I think I've tried nearly ever ROM, and it is a pure omfgb rom with TSM mods. I do like the polished roms but ill admit every sense 3.0 rom felt extremely heavy and idk why. virtuous I believe felt the heaviest. just too much, lagged a little. the amount of time I've spent on all the roms, would probably be newts HD, I believe rls 1.1 but of was very smooth. I then went to ICS 4.0.3 Christmas beta. everything was perfect on it, but obviously no camera. yet. I used to measure with cm7 but idk...not my thing anymore. just my input, sorry to rant. but yes I do like my TSM

I simply used Titanium Backup while running MIUI and backed up the camera app. Then I went into my daily driver (which is Liquid Smooth) and restored the backed up MIUI camera app (app only, no data), again using Titanium.
I was running Mikrunny for several weeks, if you're looking for Sense I think it's the best out there. But like another poster said upthread, Liquid Smooth really does live up to its name. Until we get an ICS ROM that's suitable as a daily, I'm sticking with Liquid Smooth.

Best Rom for Daily Use

Just looking to hear what peoples favorite roms are. My brother and I traded phones, he's been using stock and it kept freezing on him. Looking for the best rom for daily use with alot of features
hit me!
I think ice cold sandwich is stable for daily use.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
I currently use Ice Cold Sandwich as well and its great. You might want to also try Existz' AOSP in the Inspire forum. If you want a Sense Roms, then Sabsa Prime and Blackout are pretty good.
I am using jelly time r10.1. I have absolutely no issues with it. It is great. I set my DPI to 160, and it fits the phone excellent.

I use the LeeDroid HD v5.1.1. It's a very stable, smooth, and fast rom.

Sabsa Prime v6.5
Best NON Sense ICS ROM
IceColdSandwich - 8.7 - AOKP
I would say best sence rom is blackout.in my opinion

I am also finding rom for daily use.
I tried about 20 roms last weekend to find a really stable and all balanced one.
If a rom has many cool feature like newest sense4 but runs laggy. => I won't choose.
If a rom runs super fast and smooth but hotspot not working. => won't choose either.
Here's what I tasted in those 20 roms:
For Jelly Bean:
JellyTime, CodefireX, Unofficial-CM are quite similar. They are all based on CM10.
CodefireX has more tweak function in settings.
But all these rom I got sensor issue.
Accelerometer, magnetic field, orientation sensors are not working for me. (But for some others working great)
So JB rom is still far from stable for me.
For ICS with Sense:
If you want all function working, you can try Nik Project X v4.1. But I feel all sense 4 roms laggy.
If you like a smoother one, you can try Sabsa Bliss v2.0. It's sense 3.6 from Incredible S and suits for DHD, The only bad is wifi hotspot not working.
I think we can have a perfect ICS rom with sense 3.6 in the near future, just looking forward to it
For ICS without sense (AOSP)
IceColdSandwich v8.7 is the best. It's fast, light weight and many tweak settings from AOKP.
If you are not a pefectionism like me...You can choose it.
But I use camera very often. And the Camera in Sense always have better quality than in AOSP.
HTC must do image enhancement in its camera app.
......so...After a long trip to JB and ICS, I go back to GB with sense 3.5 finally......
I choose Runny Xtreme Surprise by XxXPachaXxX.
It's fast enough, many features beyond stock rom, only tiny bugs and good camera
The only bad maybe is it's a GB rom lol...
At last, I still wish HTC will release an official ICS RUU to DHD. Or, at least, an offical kernel source.
Also sabsa blish is very stable but I can't find tweaks for this from.

Hi.. I've been trying the same for weeks .. tried many ROMs but looking for a stable sense 3.6 or 4.0 ROM (ICS). Currently on SABSA PRIME 6.0 .. only issue is its becoming more & more slow with time as I fill it up with apps & stuff .
I actually use camera a LOT so if any 1 can suggest a stable (sense) ROM with "PERFECT" camera .. I wud appreciate that. Doesn't matter if its GB even

IMHO and my experience, every ROM is like that, even stock. Android is like Windows in that regard, more sw you install, slower it gets.... I didn't come to the conclusion if it's because of the widgets or just because of number of installed programs...
Now I need to figure out if I like sense or not I guess. thus far Jelly Bean has been my favorite on my play despite the fact that like half the stuff doesn't work >.< So we'll see...
Thx for all the places to start.

Downloaded R17 this morning I have had one lockup this evening but other than that its been fine. The are a few reports from other users of problems but I'm sure RandonBlame will sort them out.

Which rom have you liked the most?

Just sharing my Experiences, and hoping you would share yours.
In my case, it was JMT6, which gave me the best battery life imaginable. I am really missing it...
AOKP, except it sounded like I was underwater despite trying every fix I could find. Stock rooted and debloated is my new favorite. Ever since the JB update it has been running smooth, and touchwiz was greatly improved too. Stock ICS was awful, constantly freezing.

i never really felt anything special with AOKP...
Well, I like the "pure" Android roms, and I like to stick to tried and true roms, so far I have only tried AOKP and cyanogenmod as far as AOSP roms. I felt AOKP was less buggy than cyanogenmod, but in both cases call quality was terrible.

LiquidSmooth, Milestone, and Jellybam are the best jb roms that I used. Foxstar, Slickmod, Juggernaut, and Beastmod for gb. And too many ics roms Jedi Mind Trick, Infamous, Darkside Evolution, and Extremexperia just some that I remember. But stock is completely bland and boring. Gotta be themed with custom bootanimations, audio mods, themes, build prop and int.d tweaks, overclocking for cpu and gpu, or it just ain't gonna fly with me. Just my two cents on this topic.
On gingerbread, my favorite was juggernaut. On ICS I stuck with stock debloated. Jellybean I have to say it's the JMT Jellybean. This might be the best rom my phone has ever run period. Ptmr3 definitely is a very talented dev.
Always stuck with touchwiz ROMs, id say the new Jb Jedi mind trick is pretty damn good, but personally the new infamous Jb is where my hearts at

[Q] Fast, lightweight ICS ROM

Hey everyone,
since I'm not an expert in ROMs etc. I wanted to ask if there are any fast and lightweight near stock ICS ROMs out there?
I have the MildWild ROM installed for quite a while now and now I thought it's time to migrate.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Well, under ics, marius.a roms based on Qiss are most likely to be stable, Cronmod ICS is quite stable too.
However, I'd advice you to take rather JB rom which work must better (as most ICS rom are discontinued).
Ok, I don't mind JB. I just want some ROM >4.0
I've been using nikez ics rom for a couple of days now. It is very fast, lightweight, takes very little ram and stable.
Then if you don't mind JB, it depends if you prefer AOSP, CM, PA, SlimRoms, MIUI and so..
Try the new pixeldroid carbon ROM its awesome.

[Q] What's the most stable AOSP 4.3 rom?

Hey guys, currently using Bonestock as my daily driver. Very stable, but I really like AOSP android.
Just wondering, are there any stable 4.3 roms out at the moment? Every one i've read about so far has some data/gps, battery issues.
If you have any experience with the roms, please let me know! I'm dying for some AOSP.

In all reality there are "bugs" in all AOSP roms this phone isn't designed to run them. Check them out and try for yourself. If I were to give you a suggestion CM. If you want some sense framework go for a GPE rom.
If you don't want bugs, go for a gpe rom.
The google play roms are stable but as far as a "pure" aosp with some customization goes I'd try CyanogenMod, that's the most stable I've used so far. I just started using SlimBean today though and it's been really great too so far.
Sounds good. I'll check out the play edition roms.
Thanks
Best I've used so far is slimbean. Though I haven't tried CM for a couple of weeks so it may have changed.

I'm also rocking Slimbean. Jumped from 1.9 to the new 2.0 version. So far soo good.
I've tried most and Slimbean has been the most stable. Version 1.9 was outstanding. Not sure what changed in 2.0 but has been VERY stable.

In five years owning a smartphone, I've indulged in a couple score ROMs; I can't speak as highly as any of them as I can of Slim. Go for it!
best ive tried so far is illusion. I havent had ANY bugs that I've noticed so far.
I use Vanir (10/30) and I've had no issues with it.
What advantage would there be of flashing a GPE Rom over BoneStock, if any?
I'm using vanir and it's force closing randomly from browser on certain links, I also can't scan for WiFi
So far I've tried CM, Slimbean, Vanir, PACman, and Illusion. I keep coming back to Slimbean and CM in between bouts of Sense, and probably mostly to Slimbean. Very smooth on my phone.
Sounds like you flash your phone more than use it for anything else.
