[Q] Android market, cant download apps !

Hey everyone recently i installed CM 7, but i have a bit of a problem.. the android market isnt working! Now i did read other forums and tried, ( google talk etc , but that didnt work.. )
Now when i download trough market.android.com ( browser ) then it does work?, but i realy want the market to work ! D:
please help me...

USB mount your SD card, and run a chkdsk and make sure it is clean. I recently had this same looking issue and it was fixed by a chkdsk.

thanks for your fast reply, but how ,akward

I had the same error recently when attempting to download applications on meXdroid ROM. It would only happen when I downloaded the ROM and gapps through ROM manager. Once I found and downloaded the direct zips from their website, I was able to have it running with no problem.

thats the problem i cant use rom manager cause it needs an update, and basicly im using CM 7 , and used the gapps that was under the tutorial there but sadly it did not work D: ,and do u may have the download link :$

I'm assuming you did all this previously through ROM manager?
If so, make sure you check the MD5, full wipe, and flash through recovery with the zips from the above links. If not, I don't know if this will really help.

thats still abit confusing to me D:, could you make it more detailed please and where to do it etc

DEV help needed boot.img/assert failed

hi guys,
im running into problems.
after using kitchen and signing my rom etc, I try to flash it but it says:

I saw many people have this problem, and some say coverting to edify works.
however edify is not supported by newer recoveries.
any devs faced this problem and know how to fix??

Nope. Never had this problem. Just download Phiexz's or Delanoiter's kernel and look at the updater-script. Just copy the boot.img part

Yes you can still use your boot.img
In the updater-script look for the process where it's flash the kernel / boot.img

downloaded notepad++
is it necessary to remove unneeded spaces?

now it works, it says installation done, but, if I reboot, nothing happened, im just on the rom I whas.
it says its installing, but doesn't really do anything..
you know how to fix this??

Yes you need Notepad++.
Select all your text and go to Edit > EOL Conversion > UNIX Format
And if you want to see the hidden format look at the picture below. It should say LF for UNIX and CR LF for Windows

You can erase unneeded spaces if you want to but it's not necessary.

Hmmm... I really don't use kitchen that much because it's really annoying getting the Rom to boot up. Plus it's not specifically for Gio. So I don't know lol

You can grab an boot.img of phiexz cm7?

The boot isnt the problem, its just not installing, also the system doesnt do anything..

I have one, but i got it as a gift from hyriand

SD-EXT is same ext format as before, if you format a ext3 partition it will be formatted as ext3, when you formt a ext4 partition it will be formatted as ext4, if you format ext2 you'll be asked if you want to format to ext3/ext4

Problem was a little harder but i fixed it, tomorrow new good working release and then we have functional full-touch recovery

It works, only reboot doesnt work!
I'm fixing that now, i'm rewriting the reboot code of TWRP todo the same thing as CWM
This recovery is not based on CWM so it's very different, can take some time!

There's trouble with setting reboot flag(it keeps in recovery mode), i just adjusted the code.
Now compiling new version and hope it will work

sucess flash and the recovery works fine i have done a backup of my stock rom version XXUMDK i think. But the phone stuck in galaxy s4 logo .Please help

You can try push Vol up + Home + Power reboot into recovery, select backup and restore -- delete backup file.
Your phone's internal storage may not be enough free space.

thnx mate for the reply. My problem is solved by installing wanam rom

Fix permission on stock odex rooted was not fuctioning....it will hang and need to force restart to reboot system.....anybody else had this issue?...tq

You are using incompatible XPOSED Version. The version you are using works only with Android ICS and higher. (Works with CM9 SGY)

instead of manual flash, automatic flash zip mode on installation option works fine too
