[Q] LG Optimus G Pro , 500$ brand new - legit?

Hi, I just found LG Optimus G Pro on ebay for 500$ , shipped from UK? You think this is genuine and legit version with warranty?

I asked the seller why so cheap, this was his response:

You can use them with any sim card. - I have them in stock because the phones are bought directly from factory and also this is the reason why the prices are low. They all have 1 year international warranty. - I can send them with DHL, FedEx, UPS, Royal Mail or your preferred shipping company. The items are sent from my warehouse in Glasgow. - Free Customs. That is right... Free Customs. So yeah...I guess he/she is legit, also has 100% rating and seems newish, but has about 457 ratings.

International shipping with no customs doesn't sound legit to me...

I wasn't aware of an E985 version. What carrier could that be from? Also, there's a minimum order of 2 items.

E985 is for India, I think

does anyone know which version would be suitable for europe - UK? - E985?

I wouldn't even THINK of buying a phone on eBay unless the seller had feedback in the thousands with a feedback score of at least 99.8%. Just too risky otherwise.

i wouldnt trust anything coming from england through ebay.. too risky and too many scams from there. trust transactions from america..
the ebay ad sounds too good to be true.. dont trust it. youll be sorry. sounds like a clone. my friend bought an lg optimus g pro on ebay.. turned out it was a clone.

Anyone know where to buy in the UK

I've found the black LG g pad at places like asda direct and Amazon priced at £259 can only find the white version on Amazon for £299 and its from a dodgy looking marketplace seller. Any other UK owners out there and where did you buy?

I bought from ASDA because I wanted the black, but the white is available from Tesco Direct at £259. It's also available from Clove (£259) and Expansys (£249), but haven't used either of those sites myself so can't vouch for their reliability.

I bought mine last night from ADSA Direct, it's listed at £249 but if you use the voucher code 'taboffer' you'll get £20 off.
£229 is the best price I've been able to find (from a reputable source) in the UK.

Thankyou, i did look on tesco direct in early November and they weren't on there then. I will check it out!

Thanks but asda only seem to stock the black version, I really want the white one. Also been reading about the Google play edition... Might wait for it to hit the play store here, I think it would go nicely with my LG Nexus 5.

I picked up my white version from tesco in the uk. £20 off with voucher which is still valid plus the tesco points on the account. Ordered late one thursday night and picked up from store saturday evening.
Great service from tesco, regular emails and texts confirming progress.
Might have to wait a little for GPE in uk. No word yet.

None of the GPE phones have come to the UK Play Store, so I wouldn't hold out for this one.

I picked up a white version from Tesco with the same £20 off. Missus has wrapped it now, but not before giving it a good 'test' .

I really hope Google sort it out and get the GPE phones and tablets out in Europe. My nexus 5 is great, I've always been a fan of stock android. Although LGs skinned version doesn't seem to bad on the G pad, I like the idea of tap tap too. May well get a V500...

Ive seen the Co-op with them and also Asda, as well as all the ones mentioned previously. I to am still praying that Google will release the GPE one in Europe, i would buy it in a flash.

Quite like the Asda deal, but can anyone tell me what the stock Android version is, and has there been any rumours about updates to 4.4?

I bought mine online as there is much more competition, bought for £221.95 from Simply Electronics. Cannot fault their service as the device came in 2 days, amazingly quick and a great device to match. Do not worry about buying products online, as they are exactly the same as in store, but cheaper. Yes you are waiting a few days, but wouldn't you rather save money? I know I would!

I buy and sell exclusively on Swappa. Safest I've found.

I checked swappa but there seems to be nearly no trafic on the EU section, while on the US there are hundreds of people selling and buying.

Will there be a sudden price drop for lg g3 as g flex 2 with new features has already released galaxy s6 will soon get released which will make G3 look like an older phone??
I am planning to buy G3 by april.
I want to know if it is worth it to buy g3 at that time as g4 would get released soon.

check on sites like swappa and craiglist you might find a bargain .i got mine for 300 canadian new in the box.
the g4 is gonna be about double the price when it comes out unless you get it on contract

I saw in a local Fry's Electronics newspaper ad a couple weeks ago the G3 was $349 off-contract/unlocked. It can be found pretty cheap brand new at this point.

Check out Expansys, most definitely UK, they usually have the g3 at cracking prices. (Where I got mine)

You can buy them for like £280~ brand new these days which is an absolute bargain for this phone, doubt it'll go much lower for a 1440p phone with such hardware inside.

i got mine for £300 2 months back on Ebuyer, bargain i think for a phone like this.

Anyone know where they are selling them yet?
Haven't been successful at finding where we can buy some.

Right on LG's site you can get a free one with a wall charger for the extra battery, plus a 32gb sd card!
