[Q] Rom crashes after boot. - HTC One V

My phone can install any rom no problems but when i actually use my device, i.e. turn it on, boot it up, unlock it; i have about 30 seconds untill my phone will reboot. And this has been with every rom after i used x3remeSense. Could someone please help me? I have to go will answer any questions about the device or roms.
Also when i had x3reme Sense i installed awesome beats, don't know if that helps. :\

Lol You dont need Awesome Beats on Sense ROMS
they already have that
try flashin ROM WITHOUT installing awesome BEats
Should fix your problem :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

X3treme sense comes with beats audio not awesome beats. So yes i did need to install it if i wanted to mess with equalizer and suround settings... Also My phone is CDMA, but i don't know what radio version it is. How would i find that out? Without installing awesome beats other roms still won't run with the bootloop. Atleast i can use x3reme sense so i can actually text and call. :\

maybe take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018518
BTW, awesome beats are not meant to work with Sense ROMS(may cause bugs)

[Q] Removed Boot Sound - Permanently gone?

Soon after I rooted my phone on launch day, I manually disabled the boot sound (unfortunately, I don't remember which method). Now, regardless of which ROM I flash, I NEVER have a boot sound. Can someone help me out and let me know how I can about troubleshooting this further?
I've tried the obvious, by checking if the ROM I'm flashing has one (it does), and looking through Root Explorer to add a mp3 in various places, but nothing seems to work. Am I missing something very simple here?
you have to have a music file with the same name and format in the same location as in stock.
Same ROM's have different directory's for boot sound and animations. Check next two..
system/customize/resource (stock rom)
system/media (fresh & calkulin rom)
Edit: Btw I have try it, and does replace animation on Calkulin but still no sound... Which ROM are you using?

This may be my issue. I'm using CM7 (DESTROYED - link to forum below) so there is no system/customize directory. Can I just create it and put something in there? Does it need to be named specifically? android_boot.mp3???

See above - CM7 - Destroyed. I don't have an issue with the animations at all, just the boot sounds.
Stock file is called SPC_animation_final.mp3 but check witch someone who have same rom like you.

NO. You cant do that, must be specific (based on rom)
Tried to create system/customize/resource directory manually, copied the mp3 from system/media that came with the ROM and pasted into that new directory, renamed it android_audio.mp3 with no avail. Still no boot sound.
Tried renaming that to SPC_animation_final.mp3 and same result. Anything else I can try?

Will do - but realize this occurs regardless of which ROM I use. It's not ROM specific.
Thanks for the help all!
Try Fresh ROM, you should have sound saying "freshhh"
Sorry, I was thinking with Sense on my mind.

You cannot do a boot sound on an AOSP rom.
Only Sense Roms.

Really....wow. Was definitely not aware of that! I'll throw Fresh on there again tonight and see what I get. Maybe I've just had AOSP ROMS on there ever since. I thought I for sure tried out a few Sense, but maybe not.
Again - thanks to everyone. I didn't expect to get this much response. Really helps.

Yea, like they said, only sense roms have sound enable, no aosp, CM7 for example, support boot sounds.

Sure enough! Flashed Fresh and got boot sound. I could have sworn I had a Sense ROM in there somewhere in the past 6-9 months, but maybe not. Thanks again guys.

No worries, it happens to the best of us.

Phone call mutes, I can hear them but they can't hear me.

Any ideas?
During a phone call it will sometimes mute my end. I can hear the other person trying to talk to me but they can't hear me. Trying to turn the screen on does nothing, it wont go back on until the call is over. This even happens if speakerphone is on and the phone sitting on a desk.
7.1 Cyan stable, standard kernel, Amon recovery.

There are so many choices for that. What's considered the safest and most stable of the radio update files? I dont need fancy, just one that is considered working.

Download the one labeled "Latest." You always want to have the most up to date radio possible.
Also, when you are rooted and running a custom rom and run into a problem, its always a good idea to backup and flash a stock rom just to make sure it isnt a rom problem

True. But there are certain steps that should be taken before resorting to that.

[Q] Freez on booting

Hello. I have a problem with flashing roms. First of all, i do everything like it should be done. I know because i have android for 2 years now.
The problem is. Every time i flash a OC kernel "sense" rom, my device cant bootup. At first, it just get stuck at the htc logo. Then if i try to start up again, i get to the set up. And it just get stuck again. Sometimes i am even fast enough to skip setup and try to lower the cpu clock. I even get there but it just freeze again. Min-two max! Now, i am currently running Cm7 and on 768mhz(806 freeze sometimes). Working great. But its just not as "good" as htc made sense is. Ive tried every rom there is, and...yeah...you get the point...
I contacked a few of ppl that made those roms, but they all say "i cant help you" at the end of conversation...
I think there are few other people with the same issue. So, you will not be just helping me.
Sorry if i made some grramar mistakes i am not British...
Htc wfs EU s-ON. Unlocked bootloader.
Thanks for your help! Cheers

You could try flash a sense rom, followed by a stock kernel before booting. This should be stable but it means that you will loose support for the additional features they add. I think m1nd******* has a patch for his rom that makes it only clock to stock speed, could be worth trying
Thanks

Ok, i did that. Its working. Now, i saw i can oc manually after this. Do i have to disable no-frills first? Now is 120-600 smass2.
And, thanks, its working. But only this rom... This is sad. And if devs put their rom to startup with 600, will it mean that i can boot it? Then its really bad for me they put 806 as stock, im guessing im not the only one with this problem. Just put 600 as stock, after you can set cpu as u like/need... Just a though...

External speaker STOP working

Hi all,
I have search , but it seems that nobody have this.
Yesterday, i had trying the new CM9 Rom from Modaco ( not so bad), and when I come back with a Nandroid restore to my daily rom, i had lost the volume in my external speaker ( back of the handset)
I don't think this is a hardware problem because , the speaker works , i can hear music correctly, BUT with a very very low volume.
I have try to flash some boot.img with another rom like ARHD 5.2, and do a superwipe, but the volume stay very low.
If somebody have an idea , please help.
Thanks
Edit :13-05-2012
After a lot of tests , now my speaker does not work any more. It is completely mute in all the Rom .
If somebody have an idea : I need to know if it s a Hardware or Software problem.
If is a software problem, maybe somebody knew a solution: HHHHELP
That happened on my first (unrooted) HOX. I plugged some headphones in and removed them and it went back to normal. Never happened again.
Thanks, but not works for me.
This is my third HOX, and now it is unlocked .
I want to be sure that is a hardware problem, if i have to ask to HTC to repair it.
I would suggest using the RUU to do a complete reinstall of your phone rather than flashing boot images from other roms just in case the boot.img's you are using conflict or dont alter the same files.
You could maybe try this though:

I try this very soon.
Thanks.

I have relocked the phone and install the RUU 1.28, but no change. Still speaker with a very very low volume ( can't hear the ring ).
If somebody have an idea . I pray for that was not a hardware problem ( one more ) of the HOX.

Sounds like hardware to me, the fact it went quiet then gone altogether I would think it blew
Were you running any volume boost apps or anything?

Thanks for help.
Seems to me that is effectively a hardware problem.
I'm happy to be the first with a speaker problem.
I 'm tired of that phone. 3 differents handset , with 3 differents problem.
Seems to me that the GS3 have a good futur , with the shame from HTC.

can you explain your situation a little better? cyanogenmod dropped support for the Evo4g awhile back, was it a Stable rom you flashed and not a nightly? maybe you should try out another rom.
I suggest trying cyanmobile. It is gingerbread based so hdmi, 4g, etc all work but it has many jb features built in. Also has a massive amount of custom settings you wont find in any rom anywhere.

my suggestion is that you should flash a different ROM and see if your Bluetooth will still work. as for the order, grab what rom you want first (make sure its for your phone HTC evo4g supersonic and not the HTC evo4g view or LTE) and depending on what version of android the rom is you need to download Gapps (this gives you the necessary apps in order to be able to sign into your gmail and download apps off the app store) from here http://goo.im/gapps choose which one the Roms Android version is and put both the rom and gapps onto your phones SD card. boot into your recovery, backup your current rom then wipe and reset. after thats done flash the rom first then after flash your Gapps and reboot and check your wifi and Bluetooth.
thank you
ty to all who helped i have fixed it
