Game lag - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Games like Hungry Shark lag and it's very annoying.
I am on WanamLite Rom v. 3.7 and RedPill kernel v. 1.47 overclocked CPU at 1.8 and GPU at 800
IS this fixable? It's really annoying given the fact that is a top of the line phone.

It's the same with stock frequencies, can someone recommend a good kernel and Rom for performance or some stweaks profiles?

Devil custom kernel with "Performance" governor is great and with scheduler "vr" or "row"
For the ROM try RootBox Rom (AOKP 4.2.2), fast and smooth

Dostum stock romla 3400 falan alan da var rootlayıp custom rom yükleyip 5500 alan da var benim gördüğüm en düşük ve en yüksek skorlar bunlar.
5700+ ^^
ROM: Bionic Cow 2
Settings:
Highscore test - 1.8Ghz performance
Everyday test - 1.4Ghz OnDemandX
Don't be bothered by the low density of the second pic, its not an other phone, I just changed it cuz i like it that way
The read speed usually much faster (about 20Mbps), in tests its like that, I have class10 card. It could be 5800+
beat my score!!

No. Its free for XDA users . Go to the search all forums search tab and search for it. CHEERS!
Interactive is my first choice if it comes to the original kernel.
Ohh i see.. thanks so much
What I/O scheduler for Interaxtive Governor?

Is it just me or using a custom kernel seems to be slower compared to Arco's stock kernel?

It depends. Sometimes user feel faster with a custom kernel but sometimes not. It depends on some users configure the custom kernels.
For me using smartassv2 + sio scheduler even on 1ghz max freq it feels faster than stock ondemand / conservative. And sometimes it affects from the kernel developer who really have finished optimised their custom kernel or not.

I believe that we have a great CPU with 1.4 Ghz ,, So all the games problems is comming from the RAM.. So i think that Yoon Maxmem Kernel (4xx Mb RAM) Is the best for gamming ,, but remember it don't have working camera

How to OC GPU?

I see that when running the neak kernel on the uNeak app, theres a section where there are steps for the GPU clock speeds. To oc do you just raise the last step or what? Do I have to add a step if so how do I add one?
Also what is the highest clock you guys have run GPU up to on the note 2? On my n7, I ran it up to 700mhz without issues and 750mhz with occasional lockups
I'd like to do this on carbon with the kernel it comes with if possible.

I have OC'd up to 800MHz, but I usually keep it at 733MHz and underclock the CPU a bit. I don't think the Neak kernel supports OC'ing of any kind. You're better of with Perseus in that regards. By flashing the kernel the STweaks app is also automatically flashed and you can change settings from there.

Oc is supported for the gpu in the neak I wanna know if its possible to add a step instead of overclocking every step or just the last step
Cpu oc is not available though.

Best Overclocking Setting On Lupus Kernel?

What's the best setting that provides the best gaming experience?
i always use this setting
min: 249 or 364 mhz
max: 1401 mhz
govern: interactivex/smartassh3/smartassv2
in some roms smart ass v2 or h3 is best govern but in some of them its better to use interactivex
min : 249
max : 1209
governor : smartassv2 or smartassh3
Thanks. And what about the scheduler?
Sio

In theory yes. But you will sacrifice gaming fps.
Lupus kernel takes time to boot
I'm using Neo V with cm10 and Lupus480p kernel, but this Lupus logo which appears during boot takes like forever before the cyanogenmod animation starts, any way to improve the boot time? If not which is the best kernel to go with my configuration.
My stuff
min= 0.1ghz - Standby clocks to lowest saving alot of battery!
max= 1.2ghz - little tiny bump for gaming as my rom can already handle most games i play
govenor= inteldemand2
schedular= row
Sent from my R800 - Currently testing the Pizza Engine
Usually I use max 1,6 Ghz with performance governor and sio i/o, this always runs the CPU @ 1,6. Drains battery fast, but great gaming...

[Q] My max CPU freq locked at 1.3 ghz?

hey guys recently i have noticed something while benchmarking.....my max cpu frequency is locked at 1.3 ghz...i use xm 305 with arhd 21 and if i set my max freq to 1.5 ghz with performance governor on so it should clock my cpu to 1.5 ghz regardless what i do right????but my cpu is still displayed to be at 1.3 ghz(its displaying in trickster app info page)
i tried setting min freq to 1.5 ghz and it is still clocked at 1.3 ghz???
because of that i am kinda lagging in vice city and getting a little low score in benchmarking....
so should i reflash the kernel??or use different app?

if you use Set-Cpu see if u have some Profile on that cap cpu at 1.3Ghz
It's XM305 that is at fault. On ARHD21 and XM305 I, and others, have frequency locked at 1.3GHz.
XMister isn't available until September I think when he should return.
Change kernel and all should be well.

No, not all of them do. I know for a FACT #285 works fine because I was using that before #305.
I tested #303 and #304 and they had the same issue.
Beyond that I don't know.
I tested Trip's NEXT Tegra 4, very nice and fast, but found the battery usage a little high and it's a little light on features, no S2W or LP OC for example.
ATM I am using n3okernel v44 and very happy with it.

Trickster, SetCPU, fauxClock, System Tuner, they will all let you SET max CPU speed to 1.5GHz but there is something in the kernel clock-locking some CPU's at 1.3GHz and until XMister returns...
