Nice kernel except that for me wifi also doesn't work. Are you guys also running xboarders stock/cm mix?

Did some reading on Eugene twitter it looks like he over-clocked the gpu too. Has any other kernel done this?

Kernel is pretty fast, seems to be very responsive with [email protected] WiFi doesn't work with .03.26 or .08.30 radios, but all other hardware seems to function correctly. I wanna test out how the battery life will be like on the kernel.

well fast fast I've tried smartass 386/1516 it never gone under 806Mhz and wifi seems broken.
Just try in setcpu you'll see in smartass the cpu don't go below 806Mhz...

I have same problem, it doesn't go lower then 768.

Hopefully someone will keep xda updated if he does not post here. For those who do not know eugene is a legend. We are beyond blessed to have him working on our pbone.

If your wifi is broken, just disable and re-enable it - worked for me.

how long did you use it before you determined the battery didnt last long? eugenes kernel has excellent battery life

Testing this on that new skyrocket stripped out port.
Running fast, dark side x is my default.

That was a link i posted and it was for the first kernel from macnut not from R1, although that kernel was great as well.

1. Fully charge your phone while on.
2. Turn off your phone and wait for it to charge to 100
3a. Unplug your phone and boot into recovery
3b. Flash rom/kernel and/or clear battery stats.
3c. Power Off from recovery & Connect charger.
4. Reboot your phone into the Android OS & Unplug charger once it stops charging.
5. Use your phone normally
6. Let your phone discharge to 0 then charge while off
This will allow you to use all the potential of the battery while conditioning it along with getting the performance the kernel intends.

Best benchmark?
Run random apps from launcher, launch a move, launch a game and music in the same time, lock and unlock the phone and immediately open app drawer and an app. That's the best way I've found so far to measure how smooth a ROM is.
Stock passes it, CM7 from phiexz didn't, CM7/CyanMobile from squadzone did and latest beta of CM9 (GalaxyICS-b7) passes it as well.
Don't believe Quadrant or Antutu...

CM9 beta 7
CPU: 122-844 ondemand
quadrant: 1317
122-825 smartassv2
quadrant: 1256

1540, Adrenaline ROM.

Run NEW quadrant ;P
Allways no more than 900 on cm7.

***Can confirm it doesn not work on Jedi Jelly... Gets stuck at Samsung screen and Goes black.. Must be due to insecure kernel!!... O well... THanks Kraze!!!

Yes lol. CvD over in the skyrocket forums took this and tweaked it for everyone's taste. I tweaked it for our Hercules

Game lag

Games like Hungry Shark lag and it's very annoying.
I am on WanamLite Rom v. 3.7 and RedPill kernel v. 1.47 overclocked CPU at 1.8 and GPU at 800
IS this fixable?It's really annoying given the fact that is a top of the line phone.

Oc your gpu that much and it will decline drastically in fps...

It's the same with stock frequencies, can someone recommend a good kernel and Rom for performance or some stweaks profiles?

Devil custom kernel with "Performance" governor is great and with scheduler "vr" or "row"
For the ROM try RootBox Rom (AOKP 4.2.2), fast and smooth
