I knew that it was something like this but i wasn't sure
Thanks

I have the same issue. Wifi signal is not as good on AOSP as it was on stock sense ROM.
I have tried CM10, CM9, PACman, and now currently on evervolv and the wifi signal was better on sense ROM than all of the AOSP based ROMS.

i found both sense and aosp have same signal range

I agree signal range is the same but i was talking about the quality

same! no doubt

I get the same speeds but the signal range is less than sense.

Is there a better ROM than modaco?

I have got the modaco ROM and always had them, but is there a better froyo sense ROM out there in terms of speed? Also must have a2sd+

Hi I use the delite rom it's pretty much as standard but with a few extras including a2sd+ & superuser included, this rom works fine for me give it a try.

I used it and had no signal whatsoever.....Emergency Calls Only even with latest radio....
Try Neophytes NexTSenSe... I've been using it since it started and it just gets better everyday... Now on V5.1
I just tried that one....what's that weird screen on there with the digital clock and gallery button etc......it ruins the rom.....apart from that, it was good!

which one alex or neophyte?
never had a problem with either tbh
The Neo rom.....I had to be outside to get any bars on my Desire.....I have just this minute put DJ Droid 1.2....which is probably the best I've tried over the last 6 Roms I've put on

same for me actually, until i noticed that the Neo Rom flash had wiped my APN settings, everything was fine after i re inputted them!
I checked the APN settings and they were as they should've been. I couldn't receive mms neither, but I could send it?! lol
LeeDroid is an excellent Desire ROM
and Open desire is another excellent Vanilla ROM.
matter what you want really. I us these two and I've had no problems.

[Q] Best 2.3 ROM with 4G, Camera, LocServ, and The Other Bells & Whistles Working

OK, I've successfully rooted my beloved EVO... Now, it's time to consider a new, stable, BATTERY-EFFICIENT Gingerbread ROM; one that has WiMax, Camera (both), and Location Services running, along with basic 3G of course...
I like Sense, but I can live without it so that's not an impediment.
If you're asking why Gingerbread, well, I'd like to be cutting edge , with support for millions of colors (as I understand the Novatec screen on my 0003 Evo can handle it), and with some of the security vulnerabilities of pre 2.2.2 Android patched up.
The main things are:
1. Stability
2. WiMax and improved 3G (if possible)
3. Battery life improvements
4. Theming ability
I'm, frankly, bewildered by the options, so I'd like real-life experience and suggestions so I can narrow down my options.
Assists are appreciated...
Try cm7 it's the most stable fastest gingerbread rom
Sent from cm7 jealous!!!!!!Mines COOLER
I don't think there are any 2.3 sense roms yet. From what I understand, the only gingerbread rom that supports wimax at all is CM7 nightlies and even that is a little spotty. I think you're just going to have to wait a bit longer for all that in one rom.
I'm leaning towards CM7...
There are no Sense ROMS that are based on 2.3? It's not a big deal, but I was hoping there were, and I missed it (to add more competition).
CM7 is great, definitely worth a shot
Nope no sense based gb roms yet. Your best bets are CM7 newest nightly or, if you're willing to venture away from xda, Ultimate Droid.
CM7, no questions asked. If you want an alternative, Salvage mod has MOAR GEEZ as well, but no personal experience with it.
Get launcher pro plus. It has the good "sense-like" widgets.

Google searching it also helps. But yes, love the widgets. Also if you want a "sense" like weather/clock, check out fancy widget.
This is EXACTLY the kind of advice I was seeking...
Damn, I'm really starting to love this place.
the only problem with CM7 that i had was that the wifi tether app doesn't work.

But hotspots does.
Sent from my Evo that can't see the Apple orchard with its big wall.
With the exception of an early GPS problem CM7 is stable and many people are reporting faster connection speeds too.
Not a problem because it has a hotspot built into the rom. No need for wirless tether.
I have no issues using wireless tether on CM7
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Seems like CM7 is where I might start.
Is there any particular nightly of CM7 that I should DL?
11 and 12 are a little buggy but work great for me on android 2.3.3. Anything after 6 is wimax and 2.3.2 before 6 is no wimax. Try 12 and try both savage Zen and tiamat kernels in it. both are great.

yep its 100% free!
CM7 has built in wireless and usb tether, both work great. CM7 RC2 is very stable and very smooth. I use launcher pro plus and have zero complaints. Great rom with excellent functionality.

[Q][PRIMOC] Stock(sense) based, non-stock feeling rom?

Hey guys, i'm going to be on a bit of a vacation, so i would like to have my phones camera functioning at full-tilt, hence requiring a sense based rom
I am just looking for some input on what sense-based roms you guys might recommend, and what kernel to use with them (CDMA btw)
the main things i want would be much less bloat, and perhaps things tweaked in ways that might make it feel/look more AOSPish
and of course, speed, and reliability
anyways, thank you for your time, hope to get good input on roms.
u can try Xtreme Sense
okay, so i tried to flash x3reme sense, and i got error status 1 when twrp tried to flash it, same result from angry HTC
reflashed back to cfx
any ideas?

stock is probably the best option because you know everything works... could always switch after you get back... also I believe I used wifi tethering when I was on stock with stock kernel... not sure if it works or doesn't work on custom kernels cuz I saw a post about it in the JMZ kernel thread...
hope I helped...?

thanks for the input, didn't get to see it until now (already back)
i didn't really have time to RUU back to stock before i left, so i just stayed on the 3/06 build of CFX
didn't take many pictures, but i took a few, i really wish we could use the imagesense chip
everything works really generally great on that rom, including wifi tether, and everything

Stock sense 2.1 or 3.5. If you don't like sense then WildChild 3.3 is best. It has amazing performance too.

thank you bro, i dont like sense, i will try wildchild 3.3 but waitin for your update to fix mobile network for epic rom miui based on cm7.2. it was the best for me but i dont use for only one reason that is network problem. i will try wildcihld but still will be waiting for your miui v3 with network fix
i have tried wildchild 3.3 its well but i had keyboard problem. when i touch any writeable screen, not opening keyboard, tried to flash stock keyboard same problem existed again. i'm turnin back to stock again..
This one looks promising: Marvellous CM10
However I don't know if it is overclock-able. I'm always weary of overclocking phones as they don't have that much heat dissipation to work with.
