I downloaded Freeza's spr MD4 full Odex ROM, flashed stock recovery, and tried to flash the ROM from recovery, but I get this error: E:signature verification failed - Installation aborted. Am I missing a step or something?
What's the link you downloaded from? You have to flash through from custom recovery unless its one of.the "update_MB1_to_MD4" files.
Fixed...my bad
This is the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910947
I figured out what I did, which was to mis-read freeza's OP. The reference to using stock recovery only applies to the stock images, which makes sense now that I think about it. I went back to TWRP and had no issue flashing the ROM. Mea culpa.

No matter what ROM I try to flash I get the same error:
E:No signature
E:Verification failed
Installation aborted
This is a T-Mobile G2 Touch in UK. What am I doing wrong?
Have you already rooted & installed a custom recovery image on the phone?
No. I created a recovery image but this is my first attempt to root the phone.
you need to flash a custom recovery to the phones recovery partition, like amon ra's recovery.
Also, if your on the latest T-Mob ROM you will need to create a Goldcard first to allow you to downgrade, then install custom recovery image, then custom ROM.
See here to start with and follow each step carefully.
I can install ANY rom (cm10.1, Omega 9.1, Revolution 6.0, etc) except for Stock. I tried via CWM, TWRP, adb sideload and Odin. I also tried 3 different .zips (Greek, French DLL4 and DLL7).
I always get the same error:
E: Can't open rom.zip (bad) Installation aborted
Very frustrating.. help?
Have you made sure the rom files are complete? Check the MD5 for each rom u downloaded
Indeed.looks like a bad download.

Hi,
difficult to believe 3 zips are corrupted. As far as remember (but not sure as I didn't flash for a long time), if you downloaded them from samfirmware, you can't flash them through recovery: you need to unzip them first before flashing xxx.tar.md5 as PDA with odin.
Pierre.

hi what stock file are you trying to flash ?
and are you using oding to flash the file ?
Okay, just rooted with Odin, have CWM v6. Everything went fine, rooted fine, running stock rom.
Went to flash CM 10.2 Nightly, got assert error.
Used Odin to flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41503727&postcount=13716
That was supposed to update my bootloader. Flashed successful, "PASS" from Odin.
Pull battery, start CWM, wipe data. try to flash CM 10.2 again, and get:
E: Error in /emmc/cm-10.2-20130927-NIGHTLY-d2att.zip
(Status 6)
Installation aborted.
What do I do now?
It lets me install 10.1 just fine.
What version did u update from? The link u posted is lk3, the newest is ucdmg2...
From another forum:

the flashing script might have been modified afterwards by a UNIX-incompatible editor, which makes it unreadable by Android.

Trying to flash several ROMs on the latest version of Teamwin, and even a lower version after reading that it helped someone. Had to use ODIN recently and went back to a bone stock ROM, and now I rooted it and am trying to flash a custom ROM. Trying the latest SlimROM, Liquid, CM11, no luck.
Teamwin is saying "E: Error in /external_sdcard/ROM NAME
(Status 7)
Error flashing zip ' /external_sdcard/ROM NAME
Updating partition details. . ."
Any ideas before I re-ODIN my phone and go back to using a stock ROM?
Alright, I installed a JB stock ROM with bootloader via ODIN and I'll use this until tomorrow when I have more time. I'll re-root it, get a proper 4.3 ROM and give it a shot.
Did you give CWM a try?
Is there a reason your trying to use twr specifically?
Anyone ever been trying to flash the stock OG5.TAR through ODIN and had it fail, then sayd Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I can not get a rom or stock tar to flash and work after having other issues.
Also tried flashing twrp again, then going into recovery and flashing Sac23's Rom, and get this error:
symlink: some symlinks failed
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/Note_5_Sac23_Port_V2.1.zip'
Error flashing zip '/external_sd/Note_5_Sac23_Port_V2.1.zip'
and says Failed.

A little more info such as did you check md5 after downloading the stock tar?
Whats your current version of Android?
What other if any mods have you done?
You can try the stock rom by tx_dbs_tx here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3176288
Read the OP carefully.
If that works then go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2956667
and flash one of the three awsome bug free roms.
