You sure MB1 is 4.1.1? I thought MB1 was 4.1.2. I flashed an older CleanBean ROM that's MB1 and it says 4.1.2.

I'm sorry for not understanding, but is this .zip archive used to restore a Sprint galaxy s3 phone back to completely stock everything?
Recovery, android software and modem version?
If I have 4.3, will the 4.3 .zip restore everything back to stock again?

For that you should use a full 4.3 .tar file, OTA are only the patches not a full OS.

I see.
Could you point me in the right thread for that? Is there even a stock 4.3 .tar file available yet? I was thinking there wasn't since 4.3 rolled out recently for the Sprint galaxy s3
Shouldn't latest modem be MK3, NOT mk4?

I just booted up my old Epic Touch after a long period of it collecting dust (Galaxy Nexus FTW) and I'm on a stock rooted Gingerbread build EL29 right now. Can someone, anyone please point me in the right direction as to getting this thing on the latest ICS build in the simplest way possible please! It would be very much appreciated!

Thank you man! I keep getting prompted to update but since I'm rooted with a custom recovery I don't think I can! I can just install these via Odin and be good to go correct?

Which one are you looking to go to? That way I can reference the proper op and files.
If you're looking for suggestions, I'd personally go with Fi03.

If you're going Rooted, Garwynn has the One Click's available. Full restore and No-Data versions. Be sure to use Version #2. For ease, I'd suggest that method.
The Unrooted from RWilco are the tar packs for Odin if you'd rather go that route.
Both links have the instructions in the Op's.
Just remember that you'll lose the custom recovery and you'll have to follow the process to get one back.
Give an update on how it goes.
:edit: And I failed to mention, and I know Pp would say - You don't have to update and can try the update notification stop methods if you'd rather leave it where it is currently.

just odin the latest ics and then re-root. :good:
Is there any way that I can revert back to ICS after updating to official 4.1.1? I'm really becoming annoyed by the lag on the S3 after the update and would like Ttp simply go back to official 4.0.1 or whatever build it was. Thanks!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
the build is 4.0.4. you should use the odin packages for the most recent version of ics you can find in the no trip flash counter root.

Step 1: Pick the newest firmware (Prerooted/Or Not) which is UVDJLA and download it.
Step 2: Extract the contents which will give you a .tar.md5
Step 3: Go to Mobile Odin and 'Choose File', find the extracted .tar.md5 file and pick it.
Step 4: Flash and your good to go on a stock rom running the newest JB 4.1.1 from TMO.

As of the day I am posting this (May 28th, 2013) I have a software update available. I am on mc2 running the stock deodexed ma7 rom by t3project (sorry if I got the name wrong).
Should I go through with this software update or let it sit until I found out some more information? If I do go through with it there is no way of bricking my phone or anything if I am on a stock rom, correct?
Never software update while on any rooted rom, stock or not. It will most likelybrick your note. Your best bet is to see if your rom developer creates a new rom around this update. If not stay with what you have. There are Mods to disable software update notifications if you want them.

The mc2 deox would not boot even though I am on mc2, neither would the nowiz aosp or mundo hackz rom. It really ticked me off, until I found out ma7 roms work on mc2.
Accept the update. You will reboot into recovery. Then just reboot. It wont do anything and you wont get the notification anymore.
