There is a couple ways to go back to stock-ish. Only one way to go back to true stock, that's with
the Odin package. AllGamer has it linked in the index stickied at the top of this forum

I'm trying to flash it through odin, Im using windows 7. Is there any other way I can get back to stock?
is that an at&& or Canadian s3?
Make sure it's the right file. If you read through that thread you'd see that users are being directed to the i9300 stock file...not At&ts.

Did you make a backup of your stock rom? If so.. Restore it. If not, either Odin back to stock with one of the Odin packages in the development section, or find a tw rom you like and flash it.

I did not make a backup of my stock ROM and it is to send the phone back to tmovile

No, those are otas which patch existing builds. If it says UVALH2-UVALJ4 then you have to be fully stock H2 to use it. If youre sendiing the phone back you want to Odin flash one of the official builds, not the root66 ones. Also triangle away first in case your counters been tripped.

My friend is currently running cm10 on her phone and has asked me to make it stock again. She wants root gone completely as well as cwm. What would be the easiest way to unroot this device. If anyone has a thread that can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I knew how to do it when it was gb but i haven't messed with this device since then and she is on jb now and I am not sure what I need to do or where the gs2 is actually at with stock kernels. SO much going on i cant keep up anymore haha.
Just Odin back to a stock rom. There is a sticky thread with everything you need in development.

I'm getting ready to revert my phone to stock, but I haven't used Odin for a while. The one click file has a .7z extension. Will it need to be unzipped with 7zip before using Odin?
Yes unzip it and open the odin package included within.

If you want an .EXE instead, here's the one click for current version (FI27).
Quick question...need answer asap. Helping out cousin who has to go back to sprint store b4 8pm.
He has to go back to stock unrooted for sprint to replace his phone. My question is, will flashing the stock odin tar for FI27 replace the recovery also? If not, is it any way to get back the stock recovery?

It is the same as the leak. You could have just stayed...

I was stock rooted ICS before. Didn't see a diff was done.
To get root back can I flash the one from the repository with no data? Or is there a simpler solution

You could always flash a recovery then flash superuser and flash back to stock kernel.

(Sorry if I'm asking a repetitive question.)
Does the leak GB27 match the official GB27 that just came out?
I'm on FL24 stock + root. I don't want to use flash an unrooted FL24, download Kies, update to GB27, then root it.
Wondering if I can just use the One-Click method from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191954
so I can avoid doing all that work and still have the same result.
I'm only asking because I read that GB27 repartitions the storage (or something like that).
I did what you didn't want to do. Some people stated that they are the same but I don't know for sure. I'm having problems accessing the settings and I wanted root back so I just flashed the no data on top of all this. My settings is still messed up and crashes.

I just updated my phone to latest JB as well, I was previously FL24 ICS Stock Root.
Have you figured out if you can use the same Odin Root?

Did you unroot it before updating? Did you just let Kies do it while rooted and had no problems.
