You are a clever lot,,, anyone know how to clone a sim card? nothing illegal, I have a built in phone in my car Vodaphone give you two sims with the same number so when you use the car phone it just goes to the same bill great. but im with O2 not so great. if I can clone my sim that would be great!! .... Thanks Peter
Magic Sim
For cloning sim cards, u need to use a magic sim - one in which u can store upto 16 mobile numbers! it comes with all the required software and sim reader (usb), etc.
i use it on my O2 and it works perfetcly fine!
i have one brand new one lying with me in its unopened sealed packing which i got for my friend who later didnt need it....
so if u want i can sell it to you. send me a pm if u wanna get more details abt it!
hi there, where can we get al the necessary material??
send me a pm if anyone interested
i have one brand new sealed piece! anyone interested pm me!
Anybody in UK dont bother, I bought one and destroyed every sim trying to crack the Ki, if you have a very old Orange sim it might work but the rest you can forget as far as I know.
just baught an xda exec from a seller in hong kong about a month ago off ebay$750 but brand new-bad idea?... (1) anyhow the sim card holder under the battery is missing, i never got one. can anyone please inform me how to get a new one? cant find anywhere! (2) i borrowed my friends sim card slot/holder (need to give back) and then when i put my sim card in the device says "invalid or missing sim card". it works eventually after 20min of playing with the sim card slot. i have read on here that others have had the same problem and they bring the device to the manufac. to have the sim card pins readjusted which made it work fine. however i live in the united states (no o2 manufac.) and i cant get ahold of the company. the device still has the warranty seal sticker so it should be fixable/no internal problems. also when i contact the seller on what i should do there is never a response. ive tried at least 15times. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME [email protected] OR POST thanks all.
i live in ny...i think ur screwed my dude...and y did u pay so much....this **** aint worth no where near 750, smh
Hi guys,
This is my very first post so please be patient with me.
I just received my HTC TD purchased through Ebay. It is a model P3720 with the Telstra NextG branding on box and phone cover. It was advertised as unlocked yet it does not read my 3 sim card. It comes up as sim card missing.
How do I resolve this issue? Can someone help? Im excited about receiving this phone today and simply dying to play with it, so if any of you can give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Step by Step...
I'd say first get a Telstra SIM and try that in the phone, this will tell you if the phone is working correctly... Then get a SIM from another network (not 3) and try it with that SIM, if the phone recognises the SIM it is unlocked, if not it isn't and you can get it unlocked by looking at the sticky Diamond unlocking thread on this forum...
If it works with the second SIM but does not work with the 3 SIM take the 3 SIM out wipe it off blow onto the contacts in the phone and try it again, if it still does not work try the 3 SIM in a 3 branded phone to see if it works. If it does and the Diamond is unlocked you might have to phone 3 customer services for advice - don't expect much though as they will probably say they don't support phones which are not branded as 3 phones.
The alternative is to search around here for some more help.
Hope the above has been helpful.
mate just download original rom provided by three it can be found here on this forum,do a bit of research. good luck..
didnt i help you a few weeks back with a similar issue or was that someone else?

I used to switch the SIM cards manually in my old GNex, but this has become much less convenient with the SIM tray in Nexus 5. So I've decided it's time for a dual SIM adapter. Such as magic-sim, for example?
Has anyone tried it? Is it convenient to use? Does it fit with all cases? What about standing cases such as this one?
I am curious about this too. The magic sim says it is compatible with the Nexus 5 but I wanted to know if anyone had tried it.
Has anyone managed to get this and have it working?

I have the dual sim adapter that I originally was going to use for my nexus 4 but never tried to do the dual sim.
I've been trying, without success, to put where the sim and the piece under where the info of the sim card reads but keeps saying no sim card. I do have an easy time pulling the sim card out with the piece on the adapter. Keep watching youtube videos but I dont know if I wore out the electro thingies, dont know the technical term, when trying to match.
Does anyone else have any info / experience with a dual sim adapter for the nexus 5
I am in a situation where a second sim would help me out, but i dont want to have to manually swap them out.
Same here, I'd like to use a second sim in my phone if possible... Anyone know if this works?

I just got the magicsim none cut model today. Its works fine switching between 2 gsm networks but the STK menu won't appear when using a sprint Sim and also data doesn't work with a sprint Sim installed. Guess I'm out 50 bucks....

Thanks for the reply! As I'm in Europe and therefore only ever on GSM networks, I wouldn't be having those problems I guess...
Could you please post some pictures of the adapter and SIMs installed in your phone, please? I have literally no idea how the hell these things would work, or how you'd even get the things into your phone to start with.
Thanks!

I could post some this evening for sure.
It gets placed over the microsim in your phone then they together get put in the Sim tray and then folded over. Its paper thing so you slide that into the phone so you then have the second Sim dangling around. You put a full size Sim in slot two and bend it over the back side of the phone and sandwich Sim two in between the phone and a case. Its fairly thin and fits with the play store bumper well with just a little bulging.

So you tuck the second SIM in a case, instead of the phone itself... Thought as much, I had no clue as to how it would work otherwise.
Shame, actually, because I don't use a case (anymore).
I thought I could take the battery cover off and tuck it in there but the vibrator motor is in the way for it to tuck underneath
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was any success in making the nx5 dual sim ready?
Cheers

Dual SIM adapter from .magic-sim com
Hi!
I've purchased Dual SIM adapter from magic-sim.com
It said the adapter was compatible with Nexus 5.
But now I realized that the phone does not have STK (SIM Tool Kit) - the application to switch between SIMs.
But it seems that the Nexus 5 detects the adapter because after applying it "SIM-1" appeared on top of the display.
So how to switch between the SIMs???
Mine has sim toolkit installed, stock rom.

Could You pls. post screenshots of that application interface & it's icon.
Did You tried to use the Dual SIM adapter??
The app is found in /system/app/stk/stk.apk can't run it though not sure why. Haven't tried a dual sim adapter.
Attention: this is for an m7 but since the m8 has the same layout for the sim contacts and pins I am also posting here.
Okay so my girlfriend wanted to switch from the icult and wanted to try out my old phone. She has an iphone 5 and while I was making an adapter for her sim card with the correct sim tray she was messing with the phone and decide to try and put her sim tray in. She didn't jam it in all the way so the sim contacts should *hopefully* still be fully intact but one of them seems to be simply stuck on the tray. Could anyone give me some info on where exactly the sim contacts are and the little pin lock things that hold the tray down. Also if anyone has a good idea for something to slide in behind it to release the pin that's locked on please share. And if you're thinking "just yank it" I can't do that because it will break the things that read the sim card. Thanks for the assistance!

Yep I the iPhone Sim tray wasn't going as far down as it could because there's a small nub at the top of it doing it so I cut that part of with an exactly knife then pushed the ready in further and then using a screen protector the pins were released! Nothing was broken either! Thanks :good:
