I'm currently using a custom rom of football, HTC One maXimus V3.2. Which come with sense.
When the official update come later this month, will I be able to update it directly through software update (there is) or I need to reinstall the stock rom.
Thanks in advance.

If you want the ota official update, you have to get the stock rom AND recovery back. You don't have to relock the bootloader though. But do this only when the update for your region is available.
Also do some search in the forums please.

Or you can wait for the Rom developer to update it to jelly bean

So it's possible to install custom jelly bean without update hboot or similar?

No its not. You need the latest firmware to run jelly bean with Sense.

yes i think its possible to update to JB but without sense
But is it possible to put the new hboot in ardh9.7
With the new hboot (which only works for users that have the right CID) you can run the Sense jelly bean leak but not older versions based on Android 4.0.4. Not even CM10 since it is made for the older 2.17 base.

Damn, i'm gonna wait, i have no choice lol
Currently, hboot 1.23 is required and only run on the Sense JB;
hboot 1.23 refuse to boot on others ROM.
If you go with Sense JB leaked now, you also unable to flash 2.17 RUU back to persue official OTA later since hboot 1.23 is newer hboot 1.12 included in 2.17 RUU.

Hi together...
Is this right, the CID is important only for SENSE ROM's?
Thanks for reply
Only for the latest sense ROMs based on Jelly Bean

If I would install CM10 with my HBOOT 1.12...Do I have a some cons with the older HBOOT?
Well that hboot is for ICS, you will have no issue installing cm10. Newer hboots cant boot cm10 without needing special kernel.

I have official jb ruu. And my cid is htc_044. Can I install cyanogenmod for my HTC one x without any problems? And other roms I can install in same way as was with ICS? Probably stupid question, sorry if so

yes sir you can install any custom rom you want to install for One X.
There is a slight prob with CM10, gps is not working at the moment i guess.
But you can flash it the same way you used to flash ics roms.
also you can flash any sense based JB roms.
hi noob here
i have htc one x branded from optus (cid is optus001)
and it is already updated to jellybean 4.1.1 and sense+
but i want to know if i can install jellybean 4.2.1 or even other jellybean 4.1.1 custom roms? (with sense or without sense doesnt matter)
if yes any recommendations?
i have tried searching this forum and net but couldnt find definite answer
thanks in advance
Dude you can install any Sense JB ROMs since you updated hboot. But for AOSP/AOKP/CM10 ROMs you need special boot.img and gps won't work. You only needed to upgrade to SENSE 4+ if you were planning on using a sense jb rom. I recommend you try each rom and see what you like best.

Hello everyone,
Just a quick one... My hboot version is 1.12, will this be ok for any 4.1.2 AOSP rom?
I'm trying to get my head around hboot and all I've discovered so far is that hboot heavily effects stock roms (somehow...) and CM10.1 (maybe even all 4.2.2 roms) requires hboot 1.28 or above iirc.
Cheers all
4.1.2 AOSP Roms should be working with this hboot. Just upgrade your hboot if possible. Then you can run the latest AOSP and Sense Roms

Seems like there's no way around upgrading hboot then, even SlimRoms.net (was planning on using SlimBean 3.1) have closed access to all roms older than 4.2.x :crying:
Guess I'll hit up the old dusty trail of upgrading hboot then...
