Fullwipe only the solution
i did fullwipe factory reset ,wipe cache and dalvic cahce nothing happend

Samsung Stock Camera App does not work with CM
I had this issue with both JellyBam and CM 10.1
I use Camera JB +
Had same problem, ended up being a baseband or kernel problem. Can't remember exactly which, maybe both. Try different kernels, I know Siyah kernel has working camera. Good luck!
i installed sammy rom but the problem happend while im using cm

Try flashing CM9.1 It works for my LT15i (I've tested camera in normal and panorama mode).

I've only been using this combination for a few days, but the idle time is brilliant, and the phone is quite responsive.
The most exciting thing about CM9.1 is the THEMES on the "play store".

it’s nice and smooth, almost same as CM9.1
graphically improved, but unfortunately the camera is not working so I’ve returned back to CM9.1

Hey guys, I'm having a very weird problem with my HTC.
I was using CM 10.2 Nightly and all was well and suddenly the camera stopped working (although the front camera works btw)
The error is both a combination of "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" or "Can't connect to the camera".
As CM 10.2 is a Nightly, I thought that was the problem, I flashed back to CM 10.1, Renovate ROM, MaximusHD ROM and the problem still persists.
I don't know what else I can do, can you guys lend me some help ?

What ROM are you using?
I was wondering if using the RUU to go back to the stock rom would help fix that problem...

i was using cm 4.2 before that was ARHD31.0 .now back on ARHD 31.2..thinking i might have to fully wipe phone and reset back to stock

Camera is missing from ROM. Install other build.
What build are you running?
Try the latest one from here:

Hello,
Using ViperX Rom and lyapota kernel. (this issue was also present before I flashed lyapota kernel)
Since the flash at times the camera would work fine but then when I would run it, it would display green vertical lines and taking a picture would show the same
, the front camera works fine always. And if I switch to video recording the camera app would just quit, on CameraFX same happens at times and switching to recording would give an Error could not connect to cam.
At times when I hit up camera it would display an old display like the last time I took a picture of and it would be moving forward and back (one odd frame)
Attaching screenshot for better idea.
I did flash the Rom over and again but following the correct method and everything else works fine
The search brought some fixes of green coloured images.. But that doesn't apply in my case.

This is quite a common problem. Either the camera is broken or the mainboard is.

Thanks for the feedback
But this issue wasn't there with the stock ROM before I had it flashed with viperX ...and if camera/mainboard is broken shouldn't it always not work why would it work at times ..

Ok if you not sure flash ROM close to stock and see if the camera working or flash your nandroid backup

But actually I am sure , the stock ROM had the camera working .. it never glitched on stock ROM. Still I should try another ?

Flashed MaximusHD 21.2.0 - same glitch . .out of three tries cam worked all fine just once ..
Should i give AOSP based Rom a try ?

MaximusHd is with stock kernel it is hardware problem but if you want try AOSP

i am only flashing the ROM , not the Kernel using lyapota kernel which i did few days prior ..will do one more sense rom then go with AOSP also mix match this with a Stock Kernel before heading for Repairs

I have found a way to know how to use it .. i dont know why thing worked but it seems to work now ..
1. I have used UV -10
2. Dont use the Stock Camera App
3. if the camera is running and the screen times out it will again get stuck so dont let that happen
4. when i open the camera i keep it vertical ..
all of this pretty much makes no sense .but I am able to use the Camera without the Glitch and old stucked Image issue

i have moved on to HTC M8 and in my particular phone the issue was a hardware one .. IC issue was causing it .. maybe you should also get it checked ?

its located on the main board just beside the camera... but when you will take it for repairs the guy will understand .. also note does your phone get heat up near the camera when you keep the camera running / ?

i am getting "google play services stopped working" errors repeatedly.
i tried installing gapps from mi store. and also flashed micro gapps in recovery. but still facing those errors.
is there any fix for this?

already installed the rom and Google play store without any problems try install this apk and open it will install Google apps after finishing open play store and continue by your account but you will facing fc just ignore it and continue after that play store will work normal leave him for 15 minutes to update Google firmware you will see have new design now you can download app what you want
1. Battery life so bad
2. Bluetooth audio quality very very bad when you connected to headphone or mini speakers
3. Camera sometimes not working unless i restart the phone
4. Google Play Services and framework Has stopped
if there is any solutions just tell me please, the most important to me battery life and bluetooth audio quality

i tried to reflash again and again from the same twrp, after couple of retry it worked..
but after a week or two my device in which i was using miui it restart and got stuck in bootloop .. thts why i had to switch to stock again
over all it was a great experience owesome work bro .. everyone should give it a try
DONT USE GOOGLE INSTALLER OR OPEN GAPPS (i got play services fc n then contacts never sync)
USE A-GAPPS N IT WILL WORK 100%

nope everything was running fab .. except sometimes camera stop working says "cant find camera " but after doing restart it starts to work again.. at that day same thing happens..when i restart my device but that time it stuck in bootloop.. and keep on restarting after Galaxy s4 boot screen..

Strange , saw bootloop issue only when I Uninstalled any bloatware
