Which heart rate meter would you recommend for using with Galaxy S2 and why? Is it worth buying meter with low power Bluetooth 4.0? It might be useful, when I'll get some newer device, but is it even compatible with Galaxy S II?

Does anyone knows if Wahoo BlueHR Heart Rate Strap works with ONE X and some heart rate programs?
Il should work because of the BT 4.0 support of One x, but everywhere I read that Wahoo support specifically Iphone 4s.
Thanks
Not sure, but the Zephyr HXM should, will confirm tomorrow when I get my One X!
Thanks, please let me know.
I'm interested in the Wahoo model though, because of the bluetooth 4 interface. It should have really long lasting batteries (ie one year!).

Hi, our BlueHR is compatible with the standard for Bluetooth 4.0. Any device with BT40 capabilities and an SDK should work. Ping us at support at wahoofitness if you need help.
I use the Polar wearlink bluetooth with every android phone, using sportstracker live pro.
I'm expecting my htc OneX and I'm sure it will work.
Quick confirmation - my Zephyr HRM works fine.
Heart Rate Monitor when looking for is consistent with the device or not?
I Wahoo BlueHR Heart Rate is no interface, but the phone finds it.
have you tried if the polar works with htc one x
I have a Moto Droid Razr Maxx that supports BT 4. I would like to use a BT 4 heart rate monitor with it. I've only found 2 models; Wahoo Blue HR
http://www.wahoofitness.com/Products/Wahoo-Fitness-Wahoo-Blue-HR-Heart-Rate-Strap-for-iPhone-4S.asp
and Polar H7 heart rate sensor;
http://www.polarusa.com/us-en/products/accessories/H7_heart_rate_sensor
Does anyone have any experience with these? Also it looks like the polar is broadcasting on 2 frequencies which may reduce battery life? but can make it more versitile.
I'm also thinking of a BT 4 headphone, Motorola SF600;

Will there be a problem running both of these off BT4 at the same time?
Thanks.
I think I'll be getting the Wahoo Blue based on this review. I like the custom firmware.

Also the Motorola SF600 is not BT4.
Another update, the Droid Razr Maxx will see the Wahoo Blue HR but will not pair with it. I guess next up is the Polar H7.
Anyone have any recommendations or have used any heart rate monitors with Galaxy Nexus?
I use Strava app for cycling and would like to purchase a heart rate monitor that will work with this app and Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks.
Haven't used it myself with my phone but I would recommend a Polar HR strap. Have always had good luck with their HR monitors. The description of this one says it will work with any bluetooth device.

Both my boyfriend and I use the Zephyr HXM found here: http://www.zephyr-technology.com/consumer-hxm. I have a Nexus One and he has Verizon's Galaxy Nexus.
We use it to connect to Endomondo. I have never had any problems with it, and the battery life is GREAT. I can typically use it for 1+ hour every day and not have to charge it for approximately one week.
Unfortunately, all of the sellers that carry the heart rate monitor have shipping charges of at least $10 (Amazon, the company directly, etc.). I was able to order thru the Endomondo store and buy both of our monitors for $150 with shipping waived if you spend $100 or more...
Let me know if you have any questions about the device itself!
+1 for Polar. I picked mine up at a local sporting goods store. Works great with stock JB on GSM gnex.
Can either of you check to see if strava will connect to those?
Hello all, I have just updated my GS3 to Android 4.3 stock and was looking to purchase a bluetooth heart rate monitor to use with runkeeper or endomondo.
I have read a lot of articles about the issues of android bluetooth 2.0 and the upgrade to 4.3 giving the GS3 SMART/Bluetooth 4.0 support. As this update has not long been out for Vodafone UK (I am not sure of the rollout times for other devices) I am struggling to find anyone who can confirm if any of the 4.0 HRMs actually work with the stock ROM and these devices.
I was looking at getting the Kyto device or a polar H7?
Thanks for the help.
I can confirm that stock 4.3 works fine with Polar H6. i've used Runsastic Pro and Polar Beat. Tried Endomondo quickly and it didn't find HR.
PM if you want Polar Beat apk. Nice app.
In my opinion, the Polar Wearlink+ Bluetooth (Classic) heart rate monitor provides live heart rate on your Android using your Digifit app. The soft fabric chest strap seamlessly adapts to your body shape, bringing full freedom of movement to your training. Use it with Digifit to run, bike, Spin, walk, or do any other cardio exercise and track the metrics that are important to you.
I have a new Galaxy Watch Active 2, and I would like to use the Heart Rate Monitor functionality with some fitness software on my Samsung phone (Galaxy Note 10+). However the fitness software does not recognize the watch as a Bluetooth heart rate monitor. Are there any workarounds for this? Does the phone even have access to the real-time heart rate data from the watch?
TIA!
