[Q] Xperia Arc S Ultimate HD 3.0.2 Clarification & Help - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people
Senior Member VASHTA wrote a guide below, which i would also like to thank hm for:
Step by Step Flashing a Custom Rom, from Stock /w auto rooting
For Arc (lt15i) // Unlocked BL | For locked bootloader, try this : Tesla's Guide
Which is a guide for the thread of : [ROM] Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2 | Fastest | Xperia Z Theme | OTA | Legendary |
I would like to flash the above system to my phone as the current system is buggy with a number of apps that i use.
On their help they have requested that people do not PM him with questions, which i can understand and respect, but im am confiused over the information in the guide and would like to ask for some clarification,
and it seems that this is about the only place a newbi can really ask a question that may have been answered without getting taken out at dawn to meet Mr Spade at the bottom of the garden!
I would like to make a request.
Could a little clarification be added to the very detailed help guide for flashing Ultimate HD to the Xperia Arc?
My confusion and uncertainty is that you you have made this clear it is fine to use on the LT15i modle, BUT it is not so clear for the Xperia arc s.
And if not for the Arc S, then where can i find the appropriate guide? I understand the diffrence between the Arc and the S modle is the speed of the cpu, will that make a difrence?
My phone is as follows:
Xperia Arc S,
Model LT18i
Android 4.0.3
build of 4.1.A.0.562
rooted
unlocked bootloader
and again, most of the info refers to diffrent android versions and diffrent builds.
It would be of great help, and possibly to more than just me, to those uncertain if a little clarification could be made.
I did read some of the posts in the forum on this rom, but again, as the number of posts is so huge for this topic, it makes trying to find the right information for some one new like me much more difficult. And i did try seaching for the answers but had little joy.
I dont know if what im asking is wrong or that im so stupid ive missed some thing early in the post that explains this.
There are referances to the 'LT18i' version but the replies are not all that clear in their meaning to me, but no mention of software variations i have.
If there is information specific to this model, could some thing be added as a sticky to explain diffrences?
Could any one please clarify this for the phone i have?
With many thanks,
Deedee
Slightly diffrent, why is there so little information or comments made about the Arc 'S' modle, were there so few made? are they unpopular? or are they in all but name identical to the non S modle?
I did ask this querstion about a week ago in >
General discussion > Questions and Answers > [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly.
but received no respons, so i hope this is not violating a cross posting rule

Of course it is if you've looked around the forum you should already know that it doesn't make any difference at all.

[Q] Which would be the best stock 2.3.4 firmware for ARC S?

Hello!
Since I couldn't find a proper thread for my question, I'd like to put it here. If there is any thread existing, please provide me with the link.
Question is quite simple, which would be the best 2.3.4 STOCK (unmodified) firmware for the Xperia Arc S - is that a version .62, .42, .58 or something like that.
First, I'm interested in battery time, which one is the best. And second, in usability, did any of the version had any extra widgets, useful programs that other don't?
Thanks for your time and the answers!
I would also like to ask mods, if this one can be moved to proper section, Q/A, I mistakenly put it here!

[Q] Current option to root Xperia Arc S

I see several post with different options to get root access to my Xperia Arc S LT18a
How can I know which list of all those is the current and recommended?
I currently own an Xperia Arc S Lt18a which I previously upgraded to 4.0.4, 4.1.B.0.587 following the instructions from a thread I can't find
I have a locked bootloader, and prefer to don't unlock it. Just want root access. This is a mexican Telcel phone
Thanks in advance. I just can't decide which is the current or advised method.

yes
To ask Questions about developing your device, installing ROMs, software and themes you must go to the Q&A or General Forum.
Remember, your question has very likely been asked already, so please search before posting.

Thanks for the second half of your answer. As I said, I was looking for a link.
About the first half, I believe you're very cute to advice me to read, even when I stated I read a several threads, and even when I stated I already upgraded to ICS, which of course involved a lot of reading.
I see lots of threads which seem equal to me, everyone giving similar but not equal advice, and everyone offering different links to similar but not identical files and Roms.
Maybe I'm just stupid. Thanks anyway for the link

[Q] [FIRM][XPS] Is there any other 6.1.A.2.55 "generic" or "world" release except SG?

[Q] [FIRM][XPS] Is there any other 6.1.A.2.55 "generic" or "world" release except SG?
Hi guys, do you know if it's also available another generic/world release of the latest stock Sony Fw. 6.1.A.2.55 that is nor the .55 SG release neither the .55 indian/saudi release?
I did some researches but I have not found anything helpful.
I'm on unlocked bootloader so no problems to root it with fastboot!
Thanks a lot
Q belongs to Q&A section. Please post all questions in the right section.

Since the release of ANY stock firmware update/rom has been discussed in the GENERAL section, I thought this should be the right place.

???? What does this has in common with my question????? Did you at least read my post before shooting a no sense answer?
I asked if there are any other versions (out of SG and Arab release) of a current "latest" firmware ICS 6.1.A.2.55 that is already out.
I didn't ask for a next update.
Well what i know is any sort of question goes to Q/A section

Anybody???

You might look into how to trick PC companion into downloading the version you want. Not sure if it still works but I think it was talked about in the X10 forum. I think it had to do with a build.prop edit along with a PC companion file edit. If I remember correctly you will need the SI number for the region you want.
Goolge will be your friend for this.
Also please post question threads in the Q&A section. See XDA rule #15 for proper posting.
thanks

first you say your talking about a discussion, and you thought this was the forum for it. but in the second paragraph you clearly acknowledge it was a question. if you're going to try and defend yourself. try and at least lie well.
also in the second paragraph you start being nasty to another member of this forum. two points 1, he is not here to answer your questions, none of us are. so if someone gets the answer wrong you have no right to be belligerent about it 2, read the rules again, you clearly missed 2.5 Courtesy towards other Members: Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can and always with respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
oh and be thankful i retired cause im a lot less leneant than the current batch of moderation staff

First: Wrong Section. this is Xperia S, not Arc S section.
Second: Don't post anything on dev section if you're not a dev.
