type fastboot getvar version-main or fastboot getvar all in command prompt and you will know what's the right RUU for your phone.
Give the output of
fastboot getvar version-main
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
It is showing version-main:3.16.415.4

There is no RUU available for you..
If you want to go full stock.. you will have to use restore a nandroid backup...

Yes. It didn't seem to help anything.
You said recovery is gone? Did you accidentally overwrite it with the boot.img? Try this with cwm 5.8.4.0.
fastboot flash recovery cwm5840.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
Where cwm5840.img is the name of your ClockworkMod image and boot.img is the file you extracted from the rom u wish to install.
Pm me if u need additional help and I can tv in.

You could try a ruu. download the right ruu for your phone on your pc, connect your phone in fastboot and lock your bootloader. Then double click the ruu on your pc.
Remember though the ruu needs to be the same cid as your hox is now and the same version or higher.
You will lose all data though using a ruu

I have unlocked my bootloader and installed cm10.1 on my HTC one x. I forgot to make a recovery for my ROM and cannot find a working stock ROM. I am from the UK and my HTC one x was locked to three, I got a code to unlock it so it would work on O2-UK. Does anyone know of a stock recovery Rom so I can re store my phone? The reason why I cannot use cm10.1 on my one x is because I get a error saying "the process com.android.phone has unexpectedly stopped" every time I press ok to get rid of it, it comes back over and over. Anyone know or suggest why? (THE CM10.1 MOD IS THE NIGHTLY VERSION) thanks

Wipe data... Manually format /system from custom recovery and then flash CM10.1 again! and also make sure you flash the boot.img again!
If you want to go full stock, then post the result of the following:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
Thanks, how do I flash the boot.img please?

You need fastboot folder : http://d-h.st/8Jr (Download it and extract the Fastboot folder in your pc)
HTC Sync Manager (For the latest drivers) : http://www.htc.com/www/support/software/htc-sync-manager.aspx (Skip it if you already have)
Now boot your phone to fastboot mode by pressing Power and Volume Down button together till you reach bootloader screen. Now select fastboot from the screen.
Open the cm10.1rom.zip file and extract the boot.img from it place it in the fastboot folder.
Connect your phone to your PC and then go to fastboot folder and open a cmd window there (Pressing shift and right click)
Now run the following commands:
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase cache
Now go to recovery, wipe data/cache/dalvic and then flash rom.zip and then gapps.zip and REBOOT!
Okay thank you I will try this later, hope it works

Greatt!! Enjoy the rom!
does anybody has HTC ONE X HTC_038 CID(Indian Version) JELLYBEAN(4.1.1) RUU??
Please Provide me a Link...
Thank you...
You can't downgrade a s-on hox with a ruu. But what do you want ? Go back to some stock rom...are we wasting our time in your viper x problem thread ??? What's it gonna be ?
You must provide the main version you need !
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No no this is not a case...
We are using same account for 3 hox mobile... And some what i am helping to local guys for their problems...
So please dont think this is wasting of time... Thank you man...
But is there any way to downgrade the android version with s-off ???
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yes if a hox is S-OFF you can indeed downgrade by a ruu. S-ON devices can only run a certain nandroid backup of the older OS, but that's determined by it's main version.

First i need the official main number otherwise i have nothing, or it doesn't work. It has to match certain criteria
Post the outcome of :
Fastboot getvar version-main

I have attached one image file and you can see all the things in that...
Well there is no matching nandroid backup (sense 4) but you can run any nandroid backup on the phone you want, but note that the main number has to be 3.18 or higher. So ALL nandroid backups that are 3.18-3.20 are sense 4 nands that work.
With "work" i mean as a standalone rom, if you decide to restore one of those nandroids (different cid) you can NOT update via official OTA, and you can NOT relock the bootloader (OS won't boot) so it's your choice.
If your goal is to "just" run a sense 4 stock rom...just restore any of them.

Okii ill try any nandroid backup.
But is it possible to get nandroid backup for same version of android 4.2.2 with sense 5 i mean official version nandroid cwm backup... HTC One X HTC_038..
Thank you...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yeah you have made one for yourself before messing around with custom roms !
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
HTC_038 never got the 3.18 update. So even if you restore the matching nandroid(3.14.720) touch will not work.
Sent from my HTC One X
Thats why i wrote already that it has to be any nand from 3.18 or up.

Leave it. I ll do it my own way....
