How to unroot HTC One X on hboot 1.36?

Hello,
I am thinking of selling my phone and wondering if I can unroot it. I am on hboot 1.36.
Thanks in return
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Yeah, put your stock backup back on the phone the one you made before you rooted it.
Or look on YouTube for how to unroot HTC one x
I don't have a backup as I bought it rooted but could I use a ruu?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Maybe ....or a "new" nandroid backup. I can't recall what files to remove exactly to loose the root.
At least remove the su app and you have to delete some entry's in the rom.
Fastboot getvar version-main
Maybe there is a ruu
Will this work
I found this on the internet, would this work?
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...2.17.401.2_release_298985n1wwcwzs385c0bvz.zip
My cid is HTC_001
And it is
3.14.401.27
Will this work?
Thanks in advance
And
Update: I have just found a nandroid backup for my phone.
What do I do now ?
>Flash it
>Relock phone
>Flash stock recovery
Is there anything else to unroot ?
Thanks in advance

Nandroid :
Flash the boot.img
Perform a full wipe in recovery
Restore the nandroid
Flash back the stock 3.14 recovery
Relock the bootloader
That's as stock as you can get. You can also update to 3.14.401.31 and then to the latest base 3.18.401.1
RUU :
use this one
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
The one you got is the ota. Can't flash it like that.
Charge the phone, relock the bootloader and run the ruu with admin rights.
Then you are also as stock as you can be
Thanks for the help!

Low or no signals... Frequent disconnection

I have a peculiar problem. I tried 2 roms. I am getting very low signal, no signals or frequent call disconnection. The same place, anoyher hox with stock rom is getting full signals...
Any suggestions on this.....
Do i need to flash radio matching to my cid?
If yes, then would it affect the current custom rom??

I have a nandroid backup... To revert to stock. I just need to restore it? The nandroid backup is exactly 11 months and 20 days old when i bought the phone..... Do i need to go to old hboot or what??? What does getvar will do? My cid is htc_J15...
Any more details would be appreciable...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
A RUU would be more complete reset of everything, it reflashes system, boot, firmware, everything you could imagine.
Feel free to try the nandroid but imo you'll have higher chance of succeeding with a RUU.
To restore it, you'll need to flash the boot.img related to it from /sdcard/clockworkmod/
Getvar version-main outputs the main version number and nothing else.

Getting a red triangle when updating
Stock recovery
Stock Nandroid
stock boot.img
Am thinking this Rom might not be completely stock.
edit
it has superSU
So the update is failing because its a stock Rooted rom.. Why would the guy upload a nandroid and call it stock when its not.
Root is not the issue. It updates fine with root acces.
Did you flash the stock recovery after restoring. The recovery from the nand is not the stock one

Whats the method for updating the Hboot without OTA?? never done it before.
Put the phone in the fastboot usb mode. Take the firmware.zip from the ota and put it in the fastboot folder on the pc.
Open the command window and relock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Fastboot oem RebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Unlock the bootloader and install a clean new rom via a new custom recovery.
I recommend philz 5.15

Critical HTC One X - No Software

Hi!
Today I flashed the CM 10.2.1 ROM to my Htc one x and it did work but i accidentally got the wrong gapps. Now I want my old stock back and I had saved a Nandroid backup and when i was going to restore it worked, but when i rebooted the phone hanged on the HTC One logo.
CID: HTC_102
Mainver: 4.18.401.2
I need a Nandroid backup for this, cause I can't reach my own from the internal one x SD card..
Or can I use a RUU?
Thanks!

There is no ruu ! Flash a recovery that lets you mount the sdcard (philz 5.15 for example) go to the backup folder and copy out the boot.img and recovery.img
Flash the boot.img
Flash the recovery.img
and perform a full wipe in recovery and restore, reboot......and done !

Trying that now. Btw, why could I restore to the nandroid backup thru CWM before I installed a new ROM, but now I can't anymore, seems like it's broken or something. Because everytime I press restore, it's restoring and when I reboot it directs me to the CWM recovery again..?
Sure you did a full wipe before you restore it ? Sure you flashed back the recovery from the nandroid backup ?
Otherwise go here

Yes I did.
I can't use a nandroid backup with a different CID, right? I got HTC_102 and the only one there is 3.18. My mainver is 4.18
You can use any 4.18, but the 3.18 works too. If you restore the 3.18 and flash back the 3.18 stock recovery you can update again via ota !
Edit :
If you decide to use a different cid nand then you need at least one ota to pull the cid right.

Now there's only one thing left. I don't got battery in my phone, i charged it over the night but it doesn't have any battery still. I'm using CWM 5.8.2.7 recovery, so I know that's the prob. But how do i fix it if I can't even flash a new recovery?
You have to run a batt batch script from your fastboot folder.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaah8gqz8j024xz/Batt script.bat
Put the phone in the bootloader and execute the script with admin rights, it will continuously reboot the phone and charge it little by little. If it reaches 3700 mv you flash the philz recovery and charges the batt more in there because it supports charging inside recovery

Yes, I got 3555mV now..
Errors in the .bat:

Is it rebooting the phone constantly ? Right click the batt script and select run as administrator

Now I flashed philz recovery; Format partition SOS done
I erased the cache
I rebooted the phone into bootloader, selected recovery and then it hangs itself on the HTC 'Quientlly brilliant' logo.
I tried also just starting the phone, it returned to the CWM recovery..
ALWAYS fastboot erase cache after flashing anything, recoveries and boot.img files. Then let it charge more in the recovery. So you don't get stuck in the charging issue situation again !
What you can do is look for Mike's 4.18 rom thread. Install that as a normal custom rom and flash back the stock recovery too which can be found in the OP of the rom thread.
Done

[Q] HTC One X help with Custom Roms

hello i would like to know witch is the best roms to use on my
HTC One X
Android Ver: 4.2.2
HTC Sense Ver: 5.0
Software Number: 4.18.206.4
HTC SDK API Level: 5.41
Kernel Ver: 3.1.10-g7f360be
I have tried to look for one but i can only find ones for 4.18.401.2
You mean you want to go back to the original stock rom ? In that case you need a nandroid backup. Check the collection of nandroid backups in the general section if there is one available. You also should have made one yourself.
If you want to use a custom rom you can use any of the ones available.
And to point out for the "best" rom....it does not exist, try a few and see for yourself if the rom fits you or not.

Depends on what you did. This is how you have to do it :
- Unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery
1: Flash the boot.img from the new rom
2: make a full wipe in the recovery
3: install the rom
4: reboot
If it boots back to the original you definitely forgot something

Oke ....
Flash this recovery if you havent got it already on it
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqzlpqo8illa53j/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Enter it and do this :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and storage - format cache, data and system
Install the rom and choose in the aroma installer CACHE WIPE ONLY.
Let the installer run and reboot
Assuming you flashed the boot.img correctly.
And give the first boot some time, it takes longer than normal (about 5-7 minutes tops)

Try another rom the way i described the steps.
