Nope, VPN is the best way to get around tethering. If you are rooted too, you can use VPN without having the stupid password or pattern lock screen set up.

My phone asks me for my wifi passwords when I go from one network to the next. If I'm on my home wireless then want to connect to my works hot spot it will want the password. Same for when I get home and want to connect to home wifi.

No question. More of a statement. My phone is not remembering my ssid's and passwords that are associated with them all the time. It forgets them in other words and I have to re type them in. Something I shouldn't have to do.

Sounds like a software issue with your specific device. Mine remembers and switches wifi networks without issues.

Allow Mock Locations?

Anyone know what this setting in the Developer Options does? Mine is enabled by default.
It allows testing of apps that require location, ie a weather app, maps, voice search (for.places)

I can confirm that JMT JB4 tethering works solid. It even placed the Tmo hotspot app in the drawer and it is a quick toggle on the dropdown menu. I've used about 11GB of data on it so far in the last week and a half and Tmo has not throttled or cut me off.

I have an unlimited 4g plan. But you can use all the data you want. It just won't be 4g after the first 2GB.

you can get a refund if you have problems with it now; it was removed from the play store and dev isnt responding. too bad, it was a great app.
log into google play (on a computer its easier)
hit settings - my orders and settings
find smartremote app
click report a problem
click request a refund
tell em why you want a refund
wait about 2 days
BAM. refund.

T Mobile.
They will give you the unlock code if your phone is paid off.
It's also easy to unlock it yourself. There is a guide around here somewhere. The search feature will find it for you.

I had a code given to me from T-Mobile, and it DIDN'T work! They tried another code, and it too didn;t work.
I tried Chainfire's offering and it did the unnlock in seconds! The benefit with Chainfire's procedure is that it's reversible...
You should give it a shot! It's better than waiting for T-mobile, cause you have to wait for their code to be sent to you.
